Here's something worth arguing about - Stop The ACLU.
And if that isn't good enough for you - there's always the notion that conservatives and Christians are being thrown to the lions ... the paper lions, that is.
First off, the issue here isn't about Christians, as much as what's become a tool of the MSM to propagate liberal views and liberal appeasement of Islamists, to the detriment of the continued existence of the American way of life. And of course it's not just against Christians, but our very civilization, it's just that Christians have become the MSM's favorite target as the so-called professional journalists do their utmost to facilitate the Islamization of America!
Now if I can just keep from being sued for my next post coming up from Aruba ....
Update: As regards Ian's place, I didn't realize he has a chat and a forum. Check them out

Good night. Thanks for upholding the America I believe in. The one defined by the Peace Corps, and the Marshall Plan, and hosting the U.N., and Habitat for Humanity, and taking a walk on the moon. I'll sleep soundly knowing there are a few reasoned and caring folks in every chat room. Maybe when the rest of the country gets tired of the machismo they'll be open to seeing that the world's so crowded it's just a waste of time to have an us and them.

uhm
sheesh
1. no i will not drink to you
2. i only have a problem with you equating the white house with the kremlin. you have NO IDEA whatsoever the russian people have lived through b/c if you did you would not have made a jacka$$ comment like that.
the rest of what you say i could care less about. it is your point of view. but the ruskie comment you made was as ignorant as making fun of african americans

MrsJimi--
It's pointless to argue. You've misread my posts. It seems as if intentionally. If irony, and metaphor is lost on you, then good night. I never used salty language, or personal effrontery, which I understood to be a violation of Dan's code here. You seem bent on sticking it to "liberals" in as loud a way as possible. Godspeed. Wish you a lot of luck with that.

Mrs Jimi, Sheesh is not 'equating' the White House with the Kremlin. I read the analogy to mean how would the USA feel if the ACTUAL Kremlin had been attacked by Iraqis in jets and the Russians responded by invading Saudi Arabia.
It does seem like you latch onto his reference to the Kremlin to find a way to express your feelings; try reading what he wrote without anger, OK?
So his question includes would we stand idly by and let this happen?
I believe Sheesh makes just as much PRACTICAL sense re: how we are viewed in the world and it's impact on our future as KRIS does with his ominous post about the less-developed nations overpopulating.

Sheesh, if more Americans? like you? would speak up the rest of the world would be much more comfortable with some of the recent developments.

Ms. Hendrix - the only problem with Pat's book is that he fears the demographic changes that are happening in our country. He want's the Christian Right to have control over everyone else. Instead, I realize that change is inevitable and we should prepare for it. The faster we assimilate the "new" Americans into our culture the less alienated they will feel. If they "belong" they will participate and appreciate. The key to all of this is education. Our schools must have an education system that teaches the value of Democracy and the value of minority rights. Do we want to be a country divided by ethnic and religious opinion or do we want to be the "United" States of America. The harder a group pushes for dominance and control (far left or far right) the more I worry. Bush has stimulated the far right. Tom DeLay represents the far right. I only hope that for the next election a candidate steps forward who is an ordinary moderate who has the best interests of the whole country at heart. Abortion, stem cell research and school prayer should not be the dominate issues of this country will all we are facing right now. We should be focusing on energy and getting control of our borders.

Kris
yes i do not like buchanan myself but he had made valid points about the population trends
believe me i stay the hell out of other womens' uteri (or however you pluralize that) and abortion has never been an issue for me.
however he made a compelling case about the develping world and their birth rates and the developed world and their lack their of/abortion rates
that being said at the request of regular poster (albeit lefty :0 ) clint carter, i will go back and re read about the whitehouse/kremlin!!
