Natalee's Last Dance

The news network which hosts this video calls it Natalee's Last Dance; unfortunately, we know it wasn't. One way or another, it appears that events surrounding Natalee Holloway's last few dances somehow proved tragic.

But this is the Natalee that should be remembered and discussed ... an accomplished teenager in her prime - no more innocent, or guilty than the vast majority of other young women who graduated from high school in America this year.

What a beautiful young lady, I can see her love for life, feel her spirit, understand her innocence. No doubt, it is what keeps her family going. Sad. However, her family will one day, after all of this is over, be able to cherish these memories. I hope anyway.

I have two daughters, Natalee's age. I know if this were my daughters, they would not be hating their self, or turning into the devils wife, not yet anyway. I am sure if she is alive, she has every clue of how hard her mother is searching for her, and won't give up, not until she is found, one way or the other.

Yes, very hard. While I was watching this, and trying to put myself in her parents shoes, I got an instant message from one of my girls. No matter how hard I try, I just can not imagine.

Dan, thanks for posting this. Being from Mountain Brook and watching this again is truly haunting. I've seen that incredible dance team on many a Friday night. What an incredible waste of a fine young lady. I pray for justice for Natalee every day! My prayers continue to be with Beth, Jug, Dave and all the Holloway-Twitty family and the Mt. Brook community ... and all families and communities who are going through the same agony of a missing person. Keep up the good work, Dan.

She's truly a beautiful intelligent young lady.

I know there was nothing probably intended with the words "no more innocent, or guilty than the vast majority of other young women" BUT why even comment on what you presume to be her innocence or guilt? Being that she was so accomplished, apparently volunteered and was active in her church and, according to her parents, gave the parents to trouble, I tend to believe that she was basically what we used to deem a 'good' girl. Note, I did not say 'perfect.'

It just seems odd to claim she was no more innocent than most. Perhaps her very naivity is what led her to possibly drink too much and make bad decisions in Aruba...
