The picture of Joran at C&C's in "hiking" boots was taken on a different evening. He frequented the place.

Opinion: A tennis-type shoe could be sucked off in mud whether laced or not.

That Urine-B-Gone sounds like a good Dutch Christmas present for someone.

Nighty nite blue: Nighty night to you too, blue. It is indeed late and we must sleep in order to talk to ourselves tomorrow. May the sun rise on us all and we all be blessed. Dear Lord, I pray for all these wild people and especially pray for Natalie to be brought home safe and alive. If it is not your will, please at least let her be found.....blue

Don't bet your retirement account of the shoe scam. If you do, you will likely be a street person in your old.

Peggy....we do not need you on the island oke,me myself prefer Europeans as tourists on the island.Americans are starting to get on my nerves now, wait and see,if the euro is getting stronger and stronger good bye americans ...welcome dutchies, germans, scandinavia etc...

Sorry missAruba! Most Arubans will not agree with your dumb remark. Maybe you should change your name. MissDumbo.
And remember what a wise man said..If your words are no better than your silence it's better to keep your silence.

I will NEVER visit Aruba after this incident, knowing that the police have done a major cover-up and bungled the case and their arrogance not to allow the FBI to truly participate and give direction, has scared me off this island paradise FOREVER. Shame on Van Der Straaten and the police force.

I hope you realize that Aruba is better off without certain people visiting Aruba. Just maybe you are one of those people.
What do you think???

Nursemind: I never said anything about banning Aruba.I just stated that the islands have lost their appeal for ME!

It's a sad situation all around. Many people are suffering because of it.

I take no delight in adding to that.

What does "ROFL" stand for?

How could anyone lose a size 14 sneaker? It's as big as a boat. If they wonder where it is, why not just ask him. If he says, "I don't know", look under his bed or in the doghouse.

The residence was searched by a Dutch forensic team, cops and even a cadaver dog. That was when the trio was arrested.

LOL, that was a good one Berry! I almost choked on my coffee when got to your post

Hi Peggy.. I was a little angry last night about you and some others saying bad stuff about Aruba.I just think its better for Aruba to concentrate on Europe as well now instead of only the USA.No hard feelings...

Balance : Thanks :)

Roy : Danki Dushi ...pero bo sa masha bon dicon ami i mas hende ta pensa asina, pero mi no mag judge henter un pueblo djie pasombra un paar di hende riba e forum aki ta papia kakada di nos isla...

MissAruba.....No offense taken. We are all just frustrated by the lack of information or misinformation.

I sincerely hope that the Aruban police have a better handle on things than we think.

It's the "not knowing"that's got everyone in a tizzy.

And so we wait.....

Miss Aruba no one is saying bad things about your island just that a bad thing happened on that island. I am really surprised at you there a lot that goes on in those islands. I am American who lived in Curacao and as far as I know Aruba was always talking about how bad it was in Curacao. The point is bad things happen everywhere and naturally the rich and powerful try to make it go away.

I know Peggy,I also want this case to be solved as soon as possible .I do feel for the HT family, its a tragedy for them. But lets have some faith for those who are working on the case..

Ev : Well we have been called misfits etc by the US media so hm that is some really bad talking about us.. I am not defening Aruba, lots of things go wrong here but its still a nice lovely place to visit or live.
About us talking bad about Curacao well that goes both ways,we cant live with or without eachother :)

Thanks Roy :-)

Just suppose, Natalee Holloway gets slobbering drunk, gets let out on the beach goes for a swim and is now on the way to England. Who can Twitty blame then?

Whoever (((Balance))) is, "it" sound's like it has some deep rooted emotional issues. The ironic part is the nic this idiot chose. Funny how 'it' came here to vent then bounced out w/ the quickness, therefore I'm not even going to bother quoting "it's" slimy irrelevant immature posts & where it more then likely came from. Hopefully the idiot comes back from the rock it crawled out from under & stick around long enough for a response. Unfortunately, most lops & bullish cowards don't.

This shoe stuff is just nuts. Can't Mummy and Daddy buy him another pair of shoes ?

Seriously, I've never been to Aruba, but have been to Mexico a few times and Oahu. Both places had human cleaners who cleaned the beaches early in the morning for garbage left behind plus washed up stuff.

Near here is one of North America's best beachs, Grand Beach. They have a machine that gets the garbage and sifts the sand. So, you just can't take what they are doing right now in Aruba as being part of an investigation.

All these other " tips " will be useful for the defense if it ever goes to trial. They will use every one of them to their benefit !

They are now searching for a shoe?

Seems the saga of the shoe is becoming clearer.
It is not 1 shoe, it is the pair of shoes that Joran told the LE he was wearing that night. Just another red herring. The LE asks Joran which pair of shoes he was wearing that night. Joran describes a pair of shoes that may or may not exist. LE can't find the pair in his collection in his home. LE asks where the shoes are he described and Joran says he does not know, says maybe he lost them. Smart boy there. This kid is running these guys around in circles. Does not mean he is guilty of what he is suspected of.
Just that he is clearly one to their game.

Prayers to all the family..DO NOT STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING TO FIND NATALEE.I HAVE BEEN TO ARUBA AND IT SEEMS TO BE PERFECT GET AWAY BUT: EVERYONE HAS SOMETHING TO HIDE.ARUBA IS STILL HOPEING THAT THE H/T FAMILY WILL GO AWAY BUT THEY MUST NOT. TOO MANY UNANSWERD QUESTIONS. IF WE STOP THIS NOW, ANY OTHER USA CITIZED OR ANYONE FOR THAT MATTER SHOULD BE CONCERNED THAT THEIR SAFETY ON ARUBA OR ANY ISLAND IS COMPROMISED. CAN THEY GET AWAY WITH MURDER OR KIDNAPPING?? WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO FUTURE TRAVELERS, THE GOVERNMENT OF AN ISLAND HIDES THEIR INFORMATION TO EVEN THE IMMEDIATE FAMILY AND DOES NOT ASK FOR HELP WHEN THEY NEVER HAD THIS KIND OF A MISSING TEEN. THANK GOD FOR THE MEDIA COVERAGE AND TEXAX GUYS. WHEY CAN'T THEY GET MORE HEAVY EQUIPMENT TO DIG THAT TRASH SITE?????? WHERE ARE THE GOOD PEOPLE OF ARUBA AND THEIR HEAVY EQUIPMENT..IS SHE THERE???GOOD QUESTION, AND IT MUST BE CLEARED TO MAKE SURE. WHEY SO MANY DAYS HAVE GONE BY AND THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE EASIEST SITE TO CLEAR...?? GO FOR IT MRS. HOLLOWAY/TWITTY...DON'T LEAVE.....GOD BE WITH YOU AND WITH THE HONEST PEOPLE OF ARUBA, I KNOW THEY ARE OUT THERE, AND GOD BE WITH THE GOVERNMENT THAT THEY CHANGE THEIR LAWS BECASUE WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW IS CRIMINAL AND SNEAKY AND I HOPE THEY CAN SLEEP AT NIGHT..DO THEY HAVE CHILDREN TOO....JOAN

I am still not sure how I feel on what happened to Natalie. Maybe the 17 year old kid is innocent. Maybe something entirly different happened to Natalie coming up missing. Until there is more evidence I am still not sure who is responsible for Natalies dissapearence. This is a very sad situation. But I wouldn't of wanted to let my son go over there in the first place. With a bunch of kids that just graduated, especially with drinking age being 18. I wish they could find her alive, but not sure if they can now it has been so long. I feel so bad for everyone involved in this case. Especially all family members. And the parents of the 17 year old boy also.

Hey, Quick question? Why do they keep calling it a pond? I realize that it filled up with water after the hurricane came through.. but before that, wasnt it just dry land?

From the get-go authorities claimed Joran lost his shoe in the pond as the water was very low at the time of the "bad happenings" thus the reason for searching it..remember they never got quite to the bottom? The pond appeared on the set today so maybe the "jogger" they are looking for knows something about the shoe. And....I have a white male toy poodle who's name is BOO!

I wish the family members the best of luck! I pray for you and Natalee everyday. I wish someone would just come out with the truth, this family does not deserve to suffer like they have been they need somthing so they can get on with there lives. I have a little boy and if somthing happend like this, i know the American goverment, and people would do what ever they could do to bring my little boy home. I think the Goverment and the people in Aruba should be doing everything to bring Natalee back to her family. I am so sorry for what that family is going through, but i want them to know that they have so many people on there side, and praying for you! "BEST OF LUCK."

Almost three years later and no shoe?
