I've been informed that at a press conference today investigators have asked anyone that may have information as regards a sneaker - K-SWISS (White and Blue) size 14 possibly seen or found near the Marriott or the Fisherman's Hut area to please contact the Police.
Earlier reports have suggested that a search at the home of Joran Va der Sloot turned up a shoe which may have been covered with mud, or muck. The shoe had no match. The last bit of information hasn't been independently confirmed.

Nat's mom said nat was a virgin. if joren is so tall and wears such a big shoe size, i think that is what could have killed her. basketball players who are tall and wear huge shoes are said to have trouble finding a girl that can comfortably "do it" with them. if they all raped her, hopefully the little kalpoes started it. this is all gross to say, but many are thinking about this. no wonder he had to use date rape drugs on her and other girls. he probably scared girls to death in many ways.

We dogs don't know a lot about shoes. Now Walter might. He said he danced so much he had to go get a pair of dog shoes. He can afford them though. Of course Walter is like most dancing dogs. He has an ego. He has to have many pairs of every thing, but realize he has to have two pair every time he buys the things, even though he dances on his back legs. His shoemaker says they only come in 4s.....

Also, could someone explain to me why a search warrant hasn't been issued for Van de Sloots's house/well? I believe that Paulus and the Kalpoe brothers are still considered suspects, and since Joran was the last person to see her alive, there would be enough reason to issue a warrant. Also, wouldn't the lead prosecutor take care of this?

whenever you see a movie on t.v. and the suspect gets rid of the shoes, it is because there is mud on them. of course if just one shoe is missing, must be another reason. that CSI comment about analyzing the mud on the shoe might work, except aruba probably has about the same stuff everywear. when i drank too much in college, i usually thru up on my dates shoes as he was carrying me to the car, usually just one shoe.

I remember seeing this at the scared monkeys site. The pictures were provided by a tourist in the club that night, along with the one where Natalie was dancing on the bar. A poster attempting to make fun of Joran was taking jabs at him about wearing boots to a club.
Cannot figure out the significance of a shoe anyway. My 22 yr old son has many time over the yrs lost one or both shoes - take them off for sports or swimming, and jackets and t shirts . So even if they found a muddy shoe, and it was mud from over at the Racket club, what would that mean? Joran is a member of that club, plays tennis there regularly, and has legitimate reasons for being over there.
Not sure why this shoe would be significant and it is unlikely that it was lost night Natalee disappeared since he was wearing boots.

They thoroughly searched the VDS house early in the investigation and confiscated a lot of things including a computer. Greta interviewed Anita VD about this, and Anita told what they did and what they took from the home, including some things she needed and she didn't understand why they took them.

I heard reports that when the VDS home was initially searched, there were only certain places/rooms/buildings searched at PVDS discretion. I do not think the Well was ever searched.
I wonder if the pool was ever searched...some believe that Natalee may have returned to the VDS home at one point (phone calls made etc..)
Also I wonder if the K Swiss shoe that was at the VDS home was sent in for any tested or even taken in for potential evidence???

It seems incredulous that if someone actually did see a body being dumped at a garbage dump, wouldn't you make an effort to return to the exact spot and actually take a better look, when the dumpsters party had left,then call authorities? Why would anyone just call the police first, without looking? A sane person would look more closely. Hmmmm.... that million dollar reward is bringing out the shysters. However, if he did call police immediately, why wasn't the body found. It is apparent that justice will not be meted out to those 3 young men or the father. I will NEVER visit Aruba after this incident, knowing that the police have done a major cover-up and bungled the case and their arrogance not to allow the FBI to truly participate and give direction, has scared me off this island paradise FOREVER. Shame on Van Der Straaten and the police force.
And why the hell, do the police not obtain a search warrant to check out the well on VDS residence? What is with that? Oh, PVDS is one of their buddies, I get it. This cover-up will never be solved. My heart goes out to the Holloway family. Shame on Deepak and Satish and Joran and Paul. May God's judgement be the one they are most afraid of.

Canada Goose many share your frustration. After watching this unfold..or not unfold for the last 8 weeks I'm seriously considering taking a break from all media etc until there is a serious break in the case....of course what the heck would I watch since everything is in reruns anyway.

I just saw J. Mansur read a letter from a woman who was very annoyed that this info was largely ignored when it was reported - in her letter she also stated that the witness (I'm assuming the same one) had been threatened.
The issue of the well. If it is an abandoned well, it should be searched. However if it is an active well I doubt someone would be so stupid as to contaminate their own drinking/washing water...but hey you never know. Even a capped well can so easily become contaminated by bacteria, water run off, animal feces etc on ground level just imagine what would happen to your water supply if you threw something like a decomposing body down there with all the bacteria and gases etc....I would imagine you would soon smell it coming out of the taps/sinks and I know you'd get pretty sick.
For the record I am NOT a JVS or PVS or Kalpoe supporter, and I'm not Dutch. Personally I couldn't let my frustration caused by a few prejudice my judgement of an entire nation either.

Not very much if the polis tell Tim Miller he would have to get permission from Paul to search VDS home as they could not give permission and nothing was done after that. Heck, as soon as Tim was denied access who ever is responsible should have been getting a search warrant.
When they do get in, I hope they take some Luminal with them.
Check the Kalpoe brother's house for the missing tennis shoe. It could have been left in Deepak's car and was cleaned out when the middle of the night car wash took place. Deepak has saved the shoe for Joran.
