Natalee Holloway Witness Stumbles: Leads Thin

ArubaToday, an Aruban publication in english, online here, claims that a witness discovered by Twitty family Private Investigator, T.J. Ward in the Natalee Holloway case may be of little real value.

Private Investigator T.J.Ward,who is working for the Twitty family,speaks to a journalist from People magazine about his investigation. Ward ’s recent finding of a witness sadly fizzled out after she couldn ’t identify the make or color of the car or even the date or time it passed by her home adjacent to the Racquet Club.

Reportedly, it appears her ability to place the car of Deepak Kalpoe at the location is in serious doubt.

The report from ArubaToday also disputes earlier claims found in Diario, another Aruban publication - that it seemed as though something had been found in the pond.

Crews expected to finish draining the pond on Friday,said Gabriel Kelly,a spokesman for the island ’s fire department,which was coordinating the effort.“So far we haven ’t found anything out of the ordinary,”Kelly said.

One thing I've heard about the law in Aruba. If a person is drunk and leaves with another person and dissapears than the person she left with can be charged with "kidnapping"!

The kid changed his story because he was drunk when he was with NH. You don't remember details of the things you did when you were high.

No Fan is right about one thing. Ward should not be spilling his information on TV. He is supposed to be a professional and this is not professional behavior. He is enjoying the limelight. That does not mean, however, that Beth and family should not be on TV. They have battled hard to get Natalee found and television provided them with a way to do so. I am impressed with their courage and patience to continue standing and answering questions under all their duress.

Your believing in innocent 'til proven guilty is fine. So are the opinions of I think the majority of us that he is guilty fine. They are opinions, we are not the court of law. Just because we think that does not put him away, only a jury or judge can do that. We can have those opinions w/o harming anything, we are not the ones that decide.

Everyone had an opinion early on whether OJ was guilty or not--in my opinion OJ was and still is guilty, whether the jury found him guilty or not.

Michael Jackson, ditto, guilty, jury found him not guilty.

Robert Blake, ditto.

And Scott Peterson, ditto my opinion the same and jury found him guilty as well. I felt he was guilty even before her family decided he was.

My point is your innocent until proven guilty position is as our courts are like here and our law--that still does not mean all of us do not always have our own personal opinions being formed as cases go along based on what we see, their demeanor, the facts, etc.

My opinion is that Joran is guilty, Deepak is guilty, papa is more than likely guilty and Steve Croes is involved too. Satish at least knows things and was likely there even if not heavily involved in the wrongdoing part.

My opinion may be wrong, I also keep it open to change. If FACTS come out that show me I am wrong, I will change it accordingly, so far the little we know, the demeanor, the lies, etc. have me pointing the arrow to guilty.

Just my opinion, you are entitled to yours.

There have been many things that bothered me about this blog and it's discussion board.

The rumour mongering, the innuendo, the assumption of American judicial/LE superiourity, the threats to boycott Aruba, etc all serve to get under my skin...and I've made my viewpoints known here from time to time.

But really,

why would anyone lambaste Beth Holloway? She didn't seek out this painful ascension to celebrity? My personal opinion is this. I think she is a typical person in an unsual circumstance, who is responding in heroic fashion.

Dave Holloway also impresses me.

I wouldn't want to spend a second inside their heads, because it would probably be too much to take.

I surely do hope that justice is served in this case and the mystery solved. However, even if it is....this family is scarred for life, and anyone who can't sympathize with that is simply cruel and void of any form of empathy.

I read the blog often but have never posted but now I wonder if the Holloway-Twitty's have distributed posters in Venezuela, Colombia and other nearby countries where Natalee could have been taken by abducters in the case that whe was kidnapped and is still alive. That sounds like a great idea to help out. In most of the very small towns and villages where she could be they don't have cable tv and who knows, maybe someone in the townsite would recognize her picture on the poster.

I live in Panama and would be willing to distribute some posters in Darien that borders with Colombia but that would be really far fetched I guess.

If she's in S. America, she is not likely in a small village, but in a cartel fortress. They might like the million dollars, but likely will find some other way of getting it. If they gave her back, she'd have a lot to tell. Also, if anyone tried to rescue her, they'd kill her.

The amount of 10.000 was not mentioned earlier.
In the beginning of all of this I did read somewhere on the internet that 2 withdrawals were made in the wee hours of monday june 30.
I always wondered about that. My first thoughts then were that that money was used to pay someone to do some kind of dirty job.(like getting rid of Natalee)???

But then I never read this anywhere else. Not even in Diario.
