A second new witness told a private investigator hired by Holloway's family that she saw van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers drive into the Racquet Club three times that same night. The woman, who lives near the nightclub, has not yet spoken with investigators, he said.

Question about timing-- if the three boys perhaps disposed of the body prior to 3 and were back home to email around three or thereafter, this confuses the issue of the phone call that came to Beth's cell phone around 4 that she received while she was in Memphis where someone said in the background, "are you calling home?" Remmeber- she has said she thought immediately the next day when she received word that N had not shown up for the flight that she was kidnapped becuase this and remember the sounds she heard at the VDS home the night she arrived sounded the same as the ones she heard on that phone message in the background. Anyone have any ideas on how this nes witness info and the timing of it all works with the phone message she received? I have thought all along that any murder or disposal of a body must have occurred after that phone message. ???

Anyway, I don't agree with you. You say that it is a fact that Joran lied to the police, but does that fact makes Joran guilty of something? No. Joran has been isolated from the rest of the world and the only thing he hears from the cops is, that he is guilty. For longer than a month now. If he was really guilty anyone would have confessed.
Besides also a confessoin means nothing whether someone is guilty or not. Researches has make clear(I hate the English grammar) that 75% of the people were willing to confess, even if it's sure they didn't do it.

I have always felt that this was some of the info that Beth knows behind the scenes that she is not reveialing. Remember when she first went with Greta to the house handing out flyers or somethign and caugth Paulus off-guard and he invited her in.. she can be heard saying to Greta under her breath "this is where Natalee was that night"... seems like she knows that... ?

That supposed phone call has not been verified, nor has the words being heard "Are you calling home?" or the monkey in the background. Again, this has not been verified and has no effect on the current witness or the time when the KILLERS were spotted just across from where Joran said he left her unharmed.

Supposedly this 'pond' was a dry field prior to Hurricane Emily. I would think someone would have spotted a body or evidence of a burial prior to now. More likely, the police are looking for some evidence to corroborate the gardener's story as well as the other new witnesses.

A firefighter with experience in "draining" said on ONE of the news channels last night that they were likely NOT looking for a body, but for other possible items ... clothes, purse, shoes, etc. He said that is why they used filters. He said the water travels through at 3000 gallons a minute and this would "damage" a body if one were there.

When you are last persons seen with Natalee and you lie to police about it then yes it does prove you are guilty of something. I know the weed over there is pretty good (went to Amsterdam for my honeymoon) but you still don't make much sense. I don't pay attention to statistics as you can make them say anything you want to say. That 75% number is B.S. Any guilt free person would not confess to something they didn't do and any guilt free person wouldn't lie about where and what they did with a missing girl. chin - FBI has already interviewed all those MB students and yet they are sending reinforcements to Aruba - yep. FBI know MB students are hiding something....GET REAL! The FBI knows who did it and that's why all this information is being turned over to them. And how do you know these kids haven't told the FBI everything they know from that night? You don't. But the fact is the FBI has interviewed them all and cleared them all.

forrestgump - it's not necessarily true that there would be evidence of a burial in a dry field. it wasn't necessarily entirely dry all the time. it's quite possible they missed something on the intial search.

It is the last person seen with Natalie as far as we know. That's a little difference, don't you think?
And yes, when you are innocent the police can make you confess that you are guilty. Not only in the statistics, but also in real life. I am sure they are trying to make Joran confess and that's the explanation for all the different statements.

I worked in the legal system over 30 years. No one who is INNOCENT changes their stories over and over. There is NO evidence that anyone else is involved other than Joran, Deepak and Satish and probably Sateesh or whatever his name is - was along for the ride originally and got involved that way. The reason the boys shut up was that DADDY PAULUS who got into see them or sent MAMA to say shut up and you can get out. There is no evidence she was ever seen after the ride from Carlos and Charlie's. They were the last ones to see her and they are involved and I think it is probably Joran and Deepak and she resisted and one of them hit her. No remorse from those boys or Joran's family. Note that when someone is innocent, THEY TRY TO HELP. All that group has done is run and lie. Joran's father had pull and pulled strings and people were scared. They need to pay for their crimes! Yes people are innocent until proven guilty but when it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck - it's a duck! Daddy Paulus lost his job. They know he's lying.

It has also been commented about those associated with this case have lost their jobs.

it is true people lie for reasons just because a human mind is mysterious. also people confess just for numorous reasons. Still it is not a fact yet there was a confession. It came out and then retracted and sometimes people lie because they have something to hide. It sure makes him suspicious, but still it will not be enough to charge him of anything. I don't recall hearing Beth say that, but I did notice in the interview, there were alot of noises.. like birds or something.. or maybe it was the monkey but I just thought maybe they had parakeets or something. But I can see where if she did hear that sound in the voice mail, it would be quite detectable.

I am some how just intrigued with this whole story and only hope for a final conclusion/outcome soon and that the truth comes out and if anyone was involved, they receive their due punishment. Like you said it: the facts support the idea of Joran as the killer. And I agree with you. It certainly looks like Joran did it. But it is so wrong to convict someone because it looks like someone is guilty. Besides, what is wrong with looking at other suspects? Its all coming to an end, I hope and pary every day for the last 2 months that Natalee is found. Because my womens intituition and all the evidence points so directly to joran van der sloot and I want him punished for it....has anyone been watching nancy grance 8pm est on CNN? she is so involved in keeping a watch on the case. it was announced last night, joran van der sloot has changed his story...22TIMES!!! and he even said that she was killed and he helped bury her, he also said that deepak raped her and killed her in the begining , then changed his story many more times...they guy is caught out!! the reason for the gardener only coming forward now is because anyone too involved in the case hgas lost their jobs...the 2 security guards blamed by joran at the start were fired, the kalpoes mother has been fired because of her sons wrong doing and the dj who was questioned was fired aswell. The gardener was afraid of losing his livliehood but the private investigator found him during his inquiries and urged him to help natalees family. JORAN IS GOING DOWN...AND RIGTHLY SO!! anyone who thinks he is innocent needs their heads examined!!

Especially since it was reported this morning, "Holloway's stepfather, George Twitty, who was at a nearby hotel waiting for results of the search, said police asked the family not to watch as they worked behind a fence to clear the water. " Why would they specifically tell them not to watch unless they thought a body was in there.

Supposedly according to Jossy of the Diarao, alot of the "witnesses/suspects" have been fired from their jobs for coming forward. Even those most of these fired were suspects and not witnesses, I can see where some might think this would happen to them since its just a high profile case. I am not sure its the money because there has always been a reward out . just not quite so much.

Just for kicks and grins here, there is a little bit of conversation here in the great state of South Carolina. It seems that there is some activity on the island. Some communication from some contacts that are on the island have been confirmed. About a week ago There were 12 individuals that landed on the island who are monitoring the movements of 11 marks who are involved in the Natallee Holloway situation.

Lou - not everyone who came forward has been fired! The two security jobs were acrtually laid off BEFORE they were accused of being involved in this - it had nothing to do with this case. The hotel they were working at was undergoing rennovations and the article I read said that several guards had been laid off.

We don't know if the Kalpoe's mom losing her job has anything to do with this - the restaurant's owner said in the media that it didn't - but I doubt we'll ever know.

Croes the DJ - well - he probably did lose his job due to his involvement. My theory is that the party boat owners probably didn't like having attention drawn to their boat.

PVDS was told the WEEK BEFORE Natalee disappeared that he had failed the test or whatever to become a judge, and that he would need to find a different job. Jossy said on the news last night that he PVDS is under a contract until January 2006, so he's probably still on the payroll, but is unable to work due to the scrutiny.
