FOX is saying the two brothers are to be released. Now we just have to wait for the news conference, scheduled for later today.
Wonder how Natalee's family is holding up.

I hope the brothers testified against Joran.
Posted by: angry fool | Monday, July 04, 2005 at 02:46 PM
Dan, do you know if the two Kalpoe brothers have to remain in Aruba as material witnesses, or are they free as in fly away
Posted by: Pea38 | Monday, July 04, 2005 at 02:46 PM
I sure hope this island knows what it is doing. Granted, The Kalpoe's may very well be "just a ride" as they have stated. But I would still keep all 3 in custody.

Fox reporting Kalpoe's mom buying tickets back to Suriname for all. Has anyone else heard anything on this and can they just leave?

It has been reported that the mother of the Kalpoes has already bought tickets for them to return to their country. Any idea what that's about?
Posted by: Shari | Monday, July 04, 2005 at 02:57 PM
Geez, this case is falling apart!
The Kalpoes are *DEFINITELY* involved. Exhibit A: They, along with Paul van der Slut and Van der Slut Junior, all came up with the "we dropped her off at HI" tale while sitting around the Van der Slut swimming pool. They were all saying the same BS before Natalee's disappearance had become public knowledge. That alone is reason enough to hold 'em!

Geez, this case is falling apart!!
The Cow Patty brothers are *DEFINITELY* involved. The fact that they came up with the "we dropped her at the HI" tale along with Van der Slut the Elder and his despicable son and were telling it in unison before Nat's disappearance became public knowledge is reason enough to hold 'em!

Hope this doesn't post twice. The mother of the Kalpoes has reportedly already bought tickets for them to return to their country. BHT will be holding a press conference in two hours. Anxious to hear the "big" news that will suppoedly blow this case open. Stay tuned.

I doubt they can leave as previously reported they are all suspects until the trial is over
But maybe they can now foucs on young van der Sloot and get the answers for this case to come to a close soon~ he must have really given some contradicting statements on the beach~ let's hope so!

Shari,
I thought they were gonna "blow the lid off" of whatever IF ALL THREE were released. Joran is still in custody!

My heart just breaks for them. I just hope they are wise when "releasing" the information that they say they have. Don't want to blow what is left of this case!
Posted by: Ladonna | Monday, July 04, 2005 at 03:13 PM
doesn't look good for joran & aruba
Posted by: bamaguy11 | Monday, July 04, 2005 at 03:16 PM
Well, this is a tremendous letdown. I wonder if the Holloway press conference to "blow the lid off" will take place.

What time is Beth and Jug Twitty doing a press release? Did I understand that it is to be around 5pm EST?
Thanks
Posted by: Ladonna | Monday, July 04, 2005 at 03:18 PM
Sad to say, but as in the case of the two black security guards, the brothers were also used, and my thought is this, Joran has always "just" used them. I hope they realize that now.
Posted by: Cindi in PA | Monday, July 04, 2005 at 03:18 PM
The authorities probably want someone to get angry and tell all they know so the case will have to be dismissed.
Posted by: angry fool | Monday, July 04, 2005 at 03:19 PM
Why would Kalpoes need to run? Why would Momma Kalpoe need to keep EqueeSearch off her property? Why? Why? Why?...seems to be reoccuring!!! What more do they have on young JvdS? Have the brothers turned into songbirds? Did young JvdS stepped in cow paddy on the beach yesterday? Has onyone heard anything from "suspicious" objects in the water? Why was EqueeSearch wanting Twitty family to stay close? Sounds like a doctor telling a family to stay close when a dear one is VERY near death. Momma Twitty is such a fine southern lady! I pray every for God to give her strenght to continue as she has. God bless Natalee's beautiful family.

I think we should "WELCOME JORAN" with open arms here in the US for his schooling. Then maybe he will learn what justice really is.
This is a sad day for the Holloway-Twitty Family!

Unbelieveable.
In four weeks:
Lost a kid, found him in the forest.
Lost three kids found them in truck of a car
Lost a brother and sister, found the sister at Dennys. Close to finding the brother
Lost a kid in a River, just don't know where in a river.
Lost a kid in HoJo's in Disney, found him in the bottom of the hotel pool
Had seven suspect, then five, then four, then three, now only one.
Is there any more incompetent police department than the Arubian police other than the keystone Cops?

Appears to me that the 'investigation' hasn't been competent. Hard for me to accept that two guys, who owned the car, and who are older, are innocent. Anyone believe they have been released so the 'polis' can monitor their movements and calls? Still at the 'suspicion' stage. No indication that joran vds has been 'charged.' The main point, when a US citizen is in a foreign country, he/she is subject to the laws of that country. IMO, in the case of aruba, a heck of a good reason to stay away. If that is a boycott, so be it.

I am simply disgusted. My family and I have canceled our trip to Aruba planned for this summer. Not because of the Aruban people, but because it is a travesty what has happened. Has there ever been such an incompetent police force? And such a corrupt justice system? The straw that breaks the camel's back for me is that these brothers will be allowed to leave Aruba. They should be forced to stay in case they are needed to testify. Where is the justice when Paul and Joran-these horrific slimebuckets- are allowed to walk? I'm horrified and disgusted and will never set a foot on Aruba. I know many people who travel there regularly and they too said never again.

If the Holloways release information the case would be over, right?
Posted by: angry fool | Monday, July 04, 2005 at 03:32 PM
The Twittys need to play for ALL TO HEAR the tape of the 3-AM phone call that Natalee made home --- if indeed it does exist. THAT would get EVERYONE'S attention!
Posted by: Lurker | Monday, July 04, 2005 at 03:35 PM
I am scanning all the arubian radios at www.arubadag.com for breaking news..on one of the radios they said there will be an update...but up to now...if there are more who can understand papiamento, please go to www.arubadag.com and try the radios so you can update us all here.

A very good point, rutgers. Those officials are pathetic. It is sheer pride, on the part of the Arubian police, not to let the FBI get into this. They would get to the bottom of this crap and find Natalee.

The Holloways were not in the court room..
Posted by: Tsunder | Monday, July 04, 2005 at 03:38 PM
If I were the Holloways, I would tell everything I knew--it is obvious that JVDS will be released eventually and no one will be prosecuted. If I were the family, I would want to information out now while the story is international.

How is the word "papiamento" pronounced?
Everytime I see it I think of pimento cheese!
Posted by: Lurker | Monday, July 04, 2005 at 03:42 PM
The press thinks Beth Twitty is only going to voice their critisim of the investigation but I think she knows some circumstantial evidence that she got on her own, ie. if in fact Natalee did call her ..I will be very interested to see what they say at the press conference.
Posted by: Sarah | Monday, July 04, 2005 at 03:43 PM
The FBI's were into to this!.. hahaha when are you people going to get your info right?...
Posted by: Tsunder | Monday, July 04, 2005 at 03:43 PM
I hope the Twitty's have someone more rational that many of you to advise them.
Joran is being held so the judge must have determined there is sufficient reason to do so.
Making info/evidence public will allow the judge to throw the case out.

"What do you think about him coming to the states for college?"
Let him come... roll the freakn red carpet out! Let's show this Clog wearn' freak what happens when you fuck with a Southern Girl! Hell, send him to Bamma State... I'm sure they would love to teach him the meaning of Hazing....
"We all just went campin officer. Don't have a clue where he went!"

Camel Jockeys released. If that isn't the biggest bunch of bullsh*t I've ever heard. I hope the Twitty's see thru the fog and realize that this is a total coverup. If they or equisearch don't find Natalee on their own then it will never happen.
The Aruban govt is whitewashing this whole affair. JVDS will be released soon. Bank on it.
I hope no American ever spends a dime on that hellhole for an island ever again.

@angry fool
It could be really bad for the case indeed.
Moreover, Joran has 3 days to appeal as he seems to be a suspect and is not yet convicted for murder. Again: no body, no crime).
Quote foxnews:
"Deepak and Satish Kalpoe, two of the three men detained in the Natalee Holloway (search) case, were ordered freed Monday by an Aruban judge who ruled authorities had no grounds to hold them another 60 days without charges."
I truly feel bad for the Holloways. Nevertheless, if the Kalpoe brothers were in jail innocent, it is a good case that they are released. I fear that if no more evidence will show up as well as no body, Joran will walk as well.
Makes me wonder how the hell did Joran, without the help of the brothers could dump Natalee's body (that is, IF she is murdered by him) all by himself....????
