Media sources on the island are said to have been aware the Kalpoe brothers, Satish and Deepak were to undergo DNA testing today.
Reportedly, they were surprised when 17 year old Joran Van der Sloot showed up as well.

OK I keep hearing about this Shango. Is he saying that Natalee had sex with some drug dealer earlier in the trip or what? I assume his premise is that she liked this guy and may have ended up at one of these rave parties or something. Is that the jist of it? Help please!

Of course they were surprised Joran showed up, DNA testing is VOLUNTARY! According to Dutch law.

I have been following this case and somehow I have missed who Shango is can someone explain?

I guess that's why they had to get court orders for the 3 to get DNA tests then.

Some other-blog local cult figure. He/she talks in riddles and tries to give impression he/she knows something special.

Wow, finally a picture where Joran doesn't look so sure of himself!
Posted by: usmcmom | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 09:17 PM
It will be rather darkly comical in the end if Joran turns out to be innocent. (Though I doubt it.)
Has anyone ever determined whether of not Natalee and her friends went to the well publicized beach party that night? There were a lot of people at that event who were not Arubans but could have had possible ties to drugs/prostitution/slavery, etc.
Not much has ever been mentioned about that, though Aruba is certainly publicizing the next event.
Just wondered.

I can not imagine being a parent to any of these kids. He looks like most 17 yr olds I have met, and of course Natalee. looks like most 18 yr old girls. Sad for all involved.

Good evening bloggers and bloggees.
Sounds like more evidence???
Red fabric? Anyone care to give me the update in a nutshell? Bye the way I appreciate those who are always so kind to fill me in:)

Globe,
If I am not mistaken, the last picture of Natalee and her two friends were taken on the beach. I remember, or I think I do, reading the wrist bracelets they had on were from the concert. If, I am wrong, someone please correct me. (but i doubt that could be wrong).....haaaaa
Drugs, prostitution, slavery, hell that's a danger we have to address even at the New Jersey Shore these days, or the local church carnival for that matter.

How come they can wear their own clothing while incarcerated? Odd. Makes the whole thing sort of unofficial.

Looking a bit trimmer, the young chap must be watching his weight. Prison food can be a bit opulent.

Is he peeing in this picture?

I just viewed the report the meeting between Dave Holloway and Paulus van der Sloot. It appears Mickey John was lying. I certainly hope they didn't let Mickey leave the island and return to Grenada. Mickey's attorney might be in hot water for professional misconduct, as well.
Posted by: harry | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 10:52 PM
About what did Mickey lie?
Posted by: kaupuole | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 10:55 PM
Evening all. I love this blog. So informative reading all of you, too. So Mickey John was one of the security guards originally arrested, no? I didn't hear he lied too. So many lies... I was wary of that Steven Croes who said he lied to help out someone who he didn't even know. Yea, right.

Speaking of lies, the Monkeys have just released a bombshell on the Alabama teens!

....this Shango character?......can anyone expound on what the heck he is saying?
Posted by: lee | Thursday, July 21, 2005 at 01:21 AM
harry,
You got one bad "hard-on" for the MBHS students.
I read the article. What bombshell? The fact that they are trying to cover their asses for not stopping Natalee is understandable. They are probably racked with guilt over allowing her to leave with Joran. And they also don't want to admit to "partying" too hard. None of this is material to this case. Those responsible for Natalee's disappearance are in Aruba. Allowing her to leave does not make them culpable.

good morning all
another apparant contradiction by two posters here, both of them posting as though their infromation was absolute fact. drives me f*in crazy people!
gemebwai: what's your point :"Of course they were surprised Joran showed up, DNA testing is VOLUNTARY! According to Dutch law.

From everything I have seen and read there were three court orders for the DNA testing. They did asks the three at first (maybe last Thursday) but they all refused.

bamabguy: isn't there a more appropriate blog that caters to the type of graphic language that you post?
Posted by: harry | Thursday, July 21, 2005 at 04:40 PM
I am sorry to disappoint people but it is not voluntary to provide DNA when you are a suspect.
Dutch law dictates:
If someone is suspected of murder and or rape, he or she can be forced to provide a DNA sample.

harry,
That's the best you can come up with???
Chide me for my language.
Didn't mean to offend your sensitivity.

Has anyone recomended using luminal in this case... Since only bleach can remove blood, what about spraying down the car that she was in, the trunck? If there was foul play there would be evidence still?
