hope to hear some better news today

the octopus boat also operates in St Marteen Island, can someone check in to that

Unfortunately, due to the Holloway disappearance a real division is beginning and becoming quite ugly and rude- blaming the Holloways and US media when this disappearance did indeed occur on Aruban soil and many feel you have the responsibility of protecting those present on your island be it natives or visitors

just read some of the message boards- Americans just want answers for the Holloway family and they want to give thier daughter final farewells and good-byes

Aruba, is there anything others can do or offer to assist in resolving this issue for your country (other than go away becasue that is not the solution)and if so, can your gov't decide what it needs, as I am sure there are many around the world who would offer any positive assistance you may need or want at this time!

some one must check out the octopus boat out,
it also operates out of the St Marteens Islands. According to some bloggers, that boat was near the Marriot.

CNN, Nancy Grace's show. Report that fisherman on the beach that night say that they saw NO couple matching Natalee and Joran's description that night. But they DID see a white Suzuki. Reporter noted that a white Suzuki was one of the vehicles seized from the vd Sloots.

What I noticed was that Joran seemed to be wearing the same kind of black sunglasses when he emerged from his 60-day-detention hearing that Jug Twitty wore during a TV interview with Fox News.

The Octopus is sailing as usual and has not left the island waters for any period of time during or before Natalee's dissapearance. The website is currently under construction and is changing servers. You can contact them directly at rosalie@witty.com.

Captain Jethro Gesterkamp and his First Mate Jeff have been initiating delighted visitors to snorkeling and the relaxation of multi-hull sailing for over 25 years, the last 18 with Jethro's 40 ft trimaran sailboat, The Octopus. ... sailing a charterboat in Aruba can surpass Jethro's record. Conveniently located on the beach between the Holiday Inn and the Playa Linda Beach Resort, The Octopus ...www.octopus-aruba.com/index.html

Please don't allow two Suriname citizens back into Suriname?

Does anyone know what species of bird that is in the photo of the Dutch F-16?

Can someone on the island check on the existence of an "abandoned" resort named the Bushiri. It appears, from all I can tell via google, to be closed. It was owned by the government of Aruba, and is listed as now being closed. I don't know if it is damaged, or if it is just not being rented at this time.I can find customer reviews back to '02, but nothing after that on the 'net.

Theory has it, and it is only speculation, that he could have taken her here and left her in one of the abandoned jacuzzi's.

This abandoned resort is 5 miles North of Oranjestadt, and South of the Marriott, so I should think would put it within a reasonable search grid from the Marriott given the time frame.

If it is owned by the Gov't, and locked up, would Joran have had access given his father's position? Is this an area that has already been searched? Why did the hotel close and/or are there areas within the hotel that would be in disrepair? Could there be areas within the hotel now that would potentially hide a corpse?

Those airplanes are for nothing more than "window dressing." They are all show and no go.

Dutch fighter pilots have to get flight time and what better way to do it than learn how to flee the country. Afterall, the Dutch Air Force never knows when a troop of German Girl Scouts might decide to march across the border and kick their asses into the North Sea.

The FBI would have cracked this case in one week at the longest. Barney Fife is overqaulified to be Police Commissioner of Aruba.

Okay, here's the deal. Body is in the water. Odds on finding her now are 1000000 to 1. There is more evidence against JVS than has been reported otherwise they would not have been able to hold him for sixy more days. They do not have evidence to disprove the brothers "final" version of what they did post CC that night, so they had to let them go, due to the higher burden of proof at this most recent hearing. They are not out of the woods yet, though. Edler VS is back in the cross hairs, because its not really concievable that younger VS could have done such a thorough job himself, but of course they have to have evidence; proof to back up their theory. I know the Holloway family is upset with the turn of events of the last two weeks; however they must understand that when they let their young daughter go to this foreign land that the foreign lands laws would control any incident or problem that arose during the stay there. Aruba just cant change the way they do things because an Alabama teen came up missing. In all honesty, the Holloways may be making things worse by being so vocal and critical of the local authorities. Other than the Holloways, the Arubian authorities want to crack this case worse than anyone else. They would not sell their soul and tourism industry to save a borderline judicial trainee. That makes no sense. This is a tough case and has been from the get-go. Why did Natalee's friends allow her to leave with those three boys? That made no sense either. Why didnt anyone see the brothers car after it left CC with Natalee? If papa VS got out late that night, why wasnt he seen? If the brothers were out past when they said they were, why werent they seen? Why didnt anyone see NH and/or JVS at the beach? At the lighthouse? Somewhere else? I have been on Aruba several times and the areas where the hotels/casinos are are fairly active even at 1-2 am. Its not that big of a place. With all the attention why hasnt someone come forward that saw something? This is my first post on here. Sorry its so rambling..........

Xman:

I agree with everything you posted, except one thing.

The Arubans are a bunch of bumbling incompetent cops. I can understand them wanting, even demanding, that they do it themselves. But why did they not ask the FBI for assistance?

My view is that locking out the FBI is the most assinine decision the Aruban authorities will have made.

Problem with the justice system in Aruba seems to be that at the front end of an ivestigation it is too damn easy to arrest someone and hold them for a few weeks. After a few weeks the cops then need some evidence to continue to hold a suspect.
Most people in the U.S. (with some exceptions) would not put up with that kind of a system for more than one election cycle.

Think about the E. Smart case. In Aruba the cops would have first arrested the father, then the homeless guy, then the handyman who had done work for the smarts. The handyman had bad luck because he had violated his parole and they had reason to keep him in jail. The guy died in jail and a lot of folks thought he had done the crime. Meanwhile the girl is roaming all over in public palces whith those two nut cases.

In Aruba they don't want crime to go to trial. Especially if it negatively affects their cash flow, their dope or their booze. Their inept police force front loaded the Hollaway case to fail from the beginning. Aruba and the rest of the dopey islands in the Caribbean need to be off limits to Americans. I'd only go there if I had an Uzi.
