FBI confirms hair on (correction) duct tape not Natalees. It was previously reported here several days ago that, according to Aruban authorities, this find was suspect and would likely not yield a result.
Update: Ian has the video announcement.
Update2: The AP has the story above out.
.

MSNBC also reporting that landfill is being searched with the second witness. The witness has pointed out locations where he saw the boys and they are looking at specific areas in quite detail.

Fox News just said that hair on duct tape was not Nat's. Any more news on pond? Are they still working on that as well as the landfill?

pfff seems the 'witnesses' are trying for a $100.000 lucky shot.

Well, this second witness was reported the same day as Jossy's witness, but the news didn't make as much a deal about it. Why? I have no idea. But the landfill is definitely going to be challenging to search. YUK!

F, that's what I've been telling for days... Quote from VS Naipaul: "Don't trust any witnesses".

Annie, most landfills on Aruba just contain solid waste, no household waste. Anyway, I don't trust any witness coming soo late in the case.
Posted by: gemebwai | Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 06:21 PM
Thanks Susan for the link. I am beginning to wonder if we are ever going to find Natalie! Gosh, this is so frustrating! I sincerely hope Nat's parents have more info than we do cause as a mom, this would put me in a padded room by now!

This is not amusing, it is becoming sick. Jossy Mansur is a GD lier and probably a very evil man at the core. He is making a fool of anybody who will listen to him. And this bull shit about Joran's show is beyond stupid. Jossy Mansur likely has a botomless pit of scum sources that will say anything that they think he wants them to say. And he will use his paper to "protect" these liers that he is digging up to get these "new leads" for the media.

I know I am a new "poster" to this site, but am I being ignored? Maybe I have had to long of a day at work..... I have posted on here only a few times, but never seem to get a response to questions or comments? Just wanting to join in on the conversations. I live in Birmingham, AL and work in MB where Nat is from, just praying for her and her family. I was "suckered" earlier today with the report of a body being found (to the point of tears thinking this had finally come to an end), can't believe all the false info! Thankfully, I have found this site with all of you guys with your intelligent thoughts and enjoy reading everyone's thoughts. Thanks for allowing me the pleasure of all yall's company.

sounded too good to be true
Posted by: MrsJimiHendrix | Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 06:44 PM
I am sort of glad that the duct tape proves negative. But I'm wondering if someone could answer this: Let's just say by a miracle Natalee is still alive and being held against her will off the island, how easy would it be to get her back?
I know that last night Jug said that they hope for that, but if there was a positive sighting of N in, say, Venezuela, how on earth could they get her back? They'd need the Seals or a team of merceneraries wouldn't they? I sometimes think that a sighting, like Amy Bradley, for example could be just as frustrating.
Second question: does anyone know if Dave Holloway is back in Aruba or is he at home? I would have thought that if they were close to cracking this case he would be back in Aruba. Thanks.

Hi Debbie, and welcome! I don't know the answer to the pond and landfill questions but I assume so. There is a simultaneous conversastion going on under Discussion 83.

No, I think most action is under the discussion blog but I have to admit that this quieter one is much more pleasant. LOL!

Posted by: gemebwai | July 28, 2005 06:21 PM
Really? Wow, because the photos they show make it look much more like a household landfill. Papers everywhere, old cans, junk, stuff like you see at most landfills. I am not saying I don't believe you, but then the photos they are showing don't reflect it as well.

I personally think J. Mansur found some political angle to fit his purpose. Not sure yet what it is. I think it has to do with the min of justice, but how? It will be revealed someday!
Posted by: gemebwai | Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 06:48 PM
Jossy's witness might have held back because he is a married man and and it appears he was going to his girlfriend's place when he ran into the boys. I know nothing about the second witness.
Posted by: DennisAOK | Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 06:50 PM
There never was likely anything to that duct tape/hair bit. Way too remote. Probably a hoax from the start. And now this Joran's shoe bit.
I trust that Jossy Mansur will find out rather quickly that Americans do not mind making fools of themselves, but do not take kindly to others making fools of them.

Thank you Annie for responding. I like the nicer post's. I have been reading on here for long time but am just now posting, I have been very irritated with all the negative people on here which is what made me come out of my shell, so to speak. Want to smack some people for comments made. Makes me admire BHT all the more. I would probably be in aruban jail myself right now if this was my daughter (who by the way graduates this coming school year), I am one of those people that have a hard time controlling my emotions and would have told the aruban authorities to kiss my white ***! I guess it is the southern rebel in me. I admire BHT, as by now I would have punched several peoples lights out by now. Uggggg!!!

Debbie,
I don't know about your other posts here, but it's easier on the eyes if you make shorter paragraphs and skip a space in between them.
I know when I see too many words together in a long paragraph, I can't help wanting to skip by and not strain my eyes (not to mention my mind!).
Welcome, by the way.

Some information related to solid waste disposal on the island of Aruba:
Municipal Services for Management of Solid Waste, Including Hospital Waste. For disposal of solid waste, there is a 12.5-hectare refuse dump located in Parkietenbos. Different types of waste are taken to this site (refuse from homes, offices, industry, hotels, restaurants and cafes, construction and demolition sites), but no documentation is available regarding the exact amounts. Hospital waste also is transported and disposed of in the municipal dump. Infectious waste is burned in an incinerator, which may pose operation and maintenance problems.

Debbie--sorry if you feel ignored, no one here means to be mean. We just get on a roll sometimes...so far, I find some really great thoughts and info shared by some fine people here. With that, keep posting and asking for info or clarification. In the meantime, welcome!! Don't feel badly, however, if you ask something and someone says that's old stuff, just move on. Many of us have been with Natalees story since day one and there is a lot of re-hash. Hang with us and you will praise Dans work as we do.

I have two daughters who soon will be asserting themselves. They are following this sad saga. The term "friends" has become more significant.

As a friend to the Dave Holloway family....
Dave Holloway is in route back to Aruba as we speak..His father in law from Mississippi is flying with him...His wife Robin is staying with her brother in south Florida with their other children this weekend and you will be able to see her tonight on both Joe Scar as well as Nancy Grace...

The "Parkietenbos" site is the government landfill. Several people in the past have escavated their terrain for sand and stones, which leaves big holes that are then filled up like a landfill. Since about a year the law that these landfills can only contain solid waste (for hygenic reasons) is more enforced, whereas in the past any waste was dumped in these placed. So, if it's an old landfill, it could be very messy indeed. Didn't see any photo's nor location so don't which landfill it is.

Hello and peace to everyone here. I too have been reading in hopes of getting the latest, and have been trying best I can to keep up and read most of what is posted. It's hard to deal with some of what is posted here, but this type of thing brings out such emotions with all of us interested enough to check in. I go back and forth with my feelings toward what is known, as well as what I speculate myself. I was raised in the Mt. Brook school system and am not among those who still live in that city, but still live close by and feel attached anyway. More so than ever as a result of this event. I may be sort of removed, but I have friends with children who at least know of Natalie, if not closely, but what a strange situation for our community to become imfamous because of such a sad event. Beyond the sensationalism, I hope we all are touched by what this means to a family, because the rest of us are fortunately bystanders (at least most of us, God bless those who are more personally touched). You never know what lies in store for any of us. Love and peace to the Twittys, Hollyways, and all that love them. My thoughts are with you more than I can tell you.

Hey Debbie, from another Deb. Lots of posts don't get responses, so don't feel bad. I just don't say anything when I read a post unless I have something valueable to say. I don't like trashy forums! It seems like a waste of time to read lots of gibberish. But nice to have you here; I am pretty new myself.

I have been saying for days/weeks that Joosy Mansour should NOT be trusted and I got shot downa and even called names. Some of you people are ridiculous, sit back and take a long hard look in the mirror, you are OBSESSED and are NOT listening to reason.

Debbie, you and I...same situation. I have been reading this blog since the beginning. Know alot of the posters by name who have been blogging. By the way, I have enjoyed most of the information I have read on here, especially the past few days. May the family of Natalie not have to endure the torment of not knowing the whereabouts of their precious daughter much longer.
I was wondering........how many FBI agents are now on the ground in Aruba?

====================================
I agree.
And Greta asked Jossie why Joran wouldn't have just thrown away the other shoe. Then Jossy stated some dumb reason - a logic so bad I don't even remember it exactly - like Joran didn't think of doing that. (Will be on the transcripts from that interview tonight on FOX website.)
Joran is a member and regular at the racket club next to this pond. If something of his was found in the area by the racket club, it could have been lost or fallen out of his car anytime. People lose things all the time out on the tennis court and beside it and if someone plays there regularly, the odds of this would increase. So if they did find a shoe, then so what? I do not for a minute believe that Joran was going around trying to by one matching shoe.

Hi Debbie..welcome to the blog. Nobody here will really comment on what you say unless they adamantly disagree with you.. I very rarely get any response to my posts even when I ask questions.. You will notice also there is a clique on here.. just as there is in real life.. lol.
Dave is back in Aruba, saw him interviewed tonight. Bless his heart.. he said the minute he landed, he felt the stress coming back in his life from being on the island. Hopefully they will have some closure soon so they can get the hell off that island forever.

i dont think that she is being held against her will in venezuela. things are really bad right now in venezuela, when they kidnap someone they dont wait so long to ask for a ransom and keeping someone help against her will just for the fun of it is not their style.

Shopping for one shoe? that sounds totally ridiculous. Must be a really slow news day. Or has the increased reward brought out the lunatics?
Posted by: Luvmycairn | Friday, July 29, 2005 at 12:26 AM
Perhaps they have been asking for ransom all along. And it took the H/T a while to come up with the million. anything is possible in this case full of bizarre things. Remember Beth says we will be shocked if we knew the truth.

Dan,
You'd have more class if you would stop showing off. E.g., you always make sure you know that you reported something before other people did. Why not just do your early reporting, and let the people notice it? It doesn't look good.
On this post, it was just uncalled for. You are showing off that your earlier speculation turned out to be right. But when you turn out to be wrong, you don't put little posts like "in contrast to what I reported here last week, ...."

yes, you are definitely right. There was no class whatsoever in my post. But I realized that, and I'm fine with that. Why do you want my real name? So you can look me up? I don't get what that proves.

This is copied from the last thread as I want to make sure it gets seen. Someone said (sorry, can't find it again quickly enough to give credit to the writer, and the second part was my thought.)
"I appreciate all points of view. Good work Dan and it's great that you're still part of the blogs for Natalee. I'm afraid the media will soon move on to other things, and if the latest developments are fruitless, the H/T's plight will cycle out of view. I'm afraid that's bound to happen sooner or later with other news stories starting to creep up the line."
This is possible. If the anchors get tired of reporting this story, I say we have Dan keep it alive! We've had a report from a friend of Dave H. tonight, and there must be others who have first hand information that would like to share it with us. We can support the HT's without Fox or any of them. Hopefully they will hang in there, but if they don't, that doesn't mean we have to give up! Here's hugs for the Holloways/Twittys!

Hello Debbie and welcome aboard!
Gosh, I have been with this blog since it started, I think. I would post and never see a thing back. I felt so close to most of the other posters and participants including to assist financially. Still never heard back.
One day whilst reading a particular post some one was really bitc@ing about how often they had to use the "refresh" icon on their computer. It was like, "Ah-Ha"!! Then I did it and life's never been the same.
I guess some are just more adapt to computers and blogs than I am; moreover, I am still grateful to the person who made such a stink!
