Here are just a few of a great many women web loggers out there.
Beth is an Alabama girl and sometimes a one woman gang, if you tic her off, don't come runnin to me for help. ; )
Don't miss The Cotillion. It's a web log with different women web loggers / contributors who also have their own web logs - and they link to a great many others, as well.
You won't have a chance to run for help with SondraK & Co. She'll probably take you out with the first shot. Great web log to scroll through as there's always something different and often fun. Although she appears to be profanely worked up right now. Probably ramping up to explode for the fourth.
Esther Wilberforce Packard at Topic Drift must be read to be believed - or not! ; )
And I can't forget Sadie - just hope she's behaving while she's away.

Do you have recommendations of places where one can learn about setting up a blog page.
My son is trying to break into journalism, wants to write about music. He is still in college, but trying to get a decent internship. In the meantime I was thinking of using my html editing skills, and helping him to set up a blog where he could take a stab at writing about music and musicians. But, while I can set up a website, I don't know diddly about setting up a blogger site. Is there a good book or books or website you could recommend?
Thanks again for all you do!!!

Thanks, Dan! How sweet of you to send us a shout-out in the middle of the Natalee story! Which, by the way, you're doing a stellar job of covering.
Dublin:
Don't buy any information on blogging, just go to http://www.blogger.com/ , set up an account, and use the instructions there. It's REALLY easy--start with Blogger.
When you are comfortable in the medium and have developed a reader base, then upgrade from there. By that time, you'll know what I mean by "upgrade" (move off Blogger to MT, Typepad, Wordpress). ;-)

Good gawd!!! Sorry about the zillion trackbacks, Dan. It kept saying it didn't go through....blasted Typepad update! Blasted Movable Type!
Hmm. I feel better now.
