Just reported on FOX there is physical forensic evidence that can be used but they won't say what it is.
That may have something to do with the post below.

Take my advice and don't leave US. Who wants to meet people, that had a civilization, laws, cities, art and letters since a time that only herds of buffalo could be seen roaming in Texas?

Texmom,
I would not go to France again because it doesn't interest me. But there are child molesters here in the good ol' US of A -- just read the papers! And more drunks than you can shake a stick at. The only places in Europe where I saw more drunkenenss than in the US when I got out of the military was in Germany and Finland. I didn't like the dog crap on the sidewalks in France and the fact that people don't brush their teeth, but honestly alcohol didn't look like a problem the way it does here. YOu should have seen all the drunk college kids from the local "Christian" school on the street the other night.
That drinking age isn't helping us at all!

Ari-you are showing your age. Grow up. I am not responding to your post anymore.

The drinking age in France isn't my reason either.
The teeth thing and the underarm thing is quite appalling, I do agree w/ya there.
have a good day

I enjoyed reading the different posts on the drinking laws and items surrounding it. . . .you have brought up many good points I will enjoying thinking about them and seeing if I agree. . . . Who knows I just might. Thank you for the educational expierence.

@ Big Papi, if they r being charged then there is evidence Natalee is dead.
That the family is searching with hope to find here for 3 weeks thats is horror.
They have to give actual information to the family....
This witholding from info by the office of justice is unacceptable !

I have drank alot before and by the time I was 16 I was addicted to X. I know all about it and I still don't agree with it.
I mean there are alot of 21 year olds who aren't as mature as some 14 year olds.

Have you ever thought of this Leonardo; the police suspected Natalee was murdered from the start but without any trace of evidence they didn't know for sure nor even had a case. Isn't it more humane that while there is hope you allow people to go on the little hope they have?
Next to that, the Dutch legal system differs from the American. Untill there is enough evidence nothing may be said publicly by the authorities. You may not understand or even like the other judicial system, it's not your call to make. So. stop acting as if you do. You don't.

I have been so lucky that I never have been to any drugs... Not even smoking (well.. a sigar from time to time, but not as an addiction more as for fun) so I have NEVER been in contact with any kind of drug (excapt alcohol ;) ) and I'm trying to keep it that way...

Me:
Is it true that under the Dutch system a prosecutor cannot raise charges once they have been filed?
Also, I heard that there has never been a murder conviction in Aruba without a body. There has been one in the Netherlands, but it came with two confessions.
Posted by: JustMe | Friday, July 01, 2005 at 06:13 PM
me:
as far as i know, also under dutch law when you get arrested they will tell you what for you get arrested to.... This could be on a suspicion so it doesn't really have to be any evidence to prouve it.. But again.. I have never been in contact with justice that much and really don't know the the dutch law system that good (have to figure it out)...

KDH
I got it and sent it back to you
Posted by: ag | Friday, July 01, 2005 at 06:18 PM
That's not entirely true Justme, if the Dutch version of the DA finds the verdict too low or unjust (raised) charges can be filed again. Just as in the US without a body and without confessions it is hard to convict a suspect. As it should be. If those who are charged in this particular case are found guilty they most certainly will be punished according to Dutch/Aruban law. Let them get a fair trial first.

me wrote: "Isn't it more humane that while there is hope you allow people to go on the little hope they have?"
Personally I think you have to be honest; or you say nothing at all, or you say what you think possibly happened.
I don't understand this at all and this attitude is not dutch at all if you ask me. The whole scene from the police appears not dutch to me.
It's bizar, the whole performance of the judicial system.
Posted by: fokje | Friday, July 01, 2005 at 06:27 PM
KDH, I'm not an expert on law but when you get arrested under Dutch law you can be held for a certain period, I believe it's eight days. In that period you have to be arraigned. If the police or the Openbaar Ministerie (sort of DA's office) can't present a case a judge can either prolong the period of custody or order to have you released. If the suspision can be substantiated you can be held for the time it will take to bring the case to trial. And in some cases that could take the better part of a year.

Forgive me if this is a repeat. I don't have time to read all of this message board right now. I don't believe psychics but I remember a post on discussion 20 (sometime between 3:30 and 6:30pm I believe) that stated Natalee was buried in the park next to the light house and that the search parties had come within 50 feet of her burial spot. She also said that all 3 had had their way with her. She also lists how far down the trail and out from that as well as how deep she is buried. Then she said it could be Natalee. Make what you will of it. It would be nice if Equusearch did a thorough search of that park.

Hang 'em. Hang 'em high that's all I have to say. They deserve no less.
Posted by: Websleuthing | Friday, July 01, 2005 at 06:37 PM
Fokje, for what I understand, uptill now the police didn't have enough to go on. There still was a remote possibility Natalee was alive. Doubts about that were told to the mother and family. What was known was told, suspicions were shared, what is new for us, the public, certainly is not new to the mother. It may be a surprise for us, it certainly isn't for her. Authorities have been straightforward to the directly envolved. Not to the press. And that is in my opinion quite the Dutch attitude. If it's not your bussiness you're not being informed before everything goes to trial.

Hey guys - sorry, it's crazy at work but I have so enjoyed it. Yes, I am sure I was addicted to ecstacy I don't know where you heard it wasn't addictive. Some say the same thing about pot but it can be mentally addictive. X is mental and physical. Ask the ones who realized I had a problem if I was addicted.

KDH: did you get my e-mail?
Posted by: ag | Friday, July 01, 2005 at 06:48 PM
AnnB:
I read tht too. I also read a post on a different board from another self-proclamed psychic stating that she is buried at another location and the poster was specific in terms of the location.
Say what you want about psychics but every major police department in America uses them and they have helped to solve crimes.
Don't worry about getting the information into the hands of authorities. I would bet everything I own that the FBI monitors these boards and has read every single post.

Today for the first time I watched Paula Zahn's interview of Steve Croes (posted on CNN's website).
Watch his body language. HE IS LYING!! My God, he even "wipes" his upper lip with his left hand, A CLASSIC SIGN of a liar!! At the very end of the interview he appears to be telling the truth.
Plus, COMMON SENSE says he is lying! WHY would he take it upon himself to go to police and "volunteer" that info (lie) about seeing Natalee?!
CROES IS INVOLVED SOMEHOW! I think he either supplied Van der Slut with the drug or helped with corpse disposal.
Posted by: Lurker | Saturday, July 02, 2005 at 12:47 AM
Lurker:
Why is it a sign if lying when someone wipes his lip/mouth with his left hand? Is it because he is right handed? If the guy is left handed would it be a sign of lying if he wiped his lip/mouth with his right hand? I am not challenging your sincerity. I just want to know on what psychoanalytical principle your comments are based.
I never, ever lie. But I do sometimes wipe my mouth with my left hand. That is because I am right handed and do not always get to wash my hands after I take a leak.
