DNA Analysis Done

The Political Teen has video from O'reilly. Apparently it is thought that the DNA analysis may be done; however, results will not be given to the press - only the Aruban authorities. If so, we'll have to see how long that secret lasts.

I think Jug is an awesome stepdad. He obviously loves his stepdaughter as much as his own children. He should not be criticized for his frustration and real emotion. However, I really like Dave Holloway's personality. He is so cool, laid back, and seems like the nicest man in the world. Tonight, it was disclosed that the duct tape was wadded up and had MANY different hairs in it, not just one type. Don't know what to make of this, now. Sure they can lift fingerprints, fibers, and other forensics from duct tape under the right circumstances, even in water. Wadded up may interfere with the integrity of prints, but, they can lift partial prints if there are some.

It sounds like the variety of hair types in the conglomerate was why they may have facillitated the DNA collection, but, who knows? I was surprised they didn't do that before!!!!!!!

Anyway, my feelings aren't real positive that this will pan out, guys. First of all, surfers use duct tape on their boards. The fact that there are multiple types of hair seems more consistent with duct tape on a board which has picked up odd hairs from the surf, or even the users. The tape was dry when they found it, which is weird considering the location, and that it would have to be washed into the cave area, (i would think.)

However, for Beth and Natalee's family's sake, I am rooting for anything that can bring this great family some peace. My heart is broken for them, every time I see them I have a lump in my throat, or plain out CRY!

My take on the tape/hair is that the probability that it is related to this case is very remote.
The tape/hair was found on dry land according to the interview with the park trash pickeruper that found it. Said it was tape was dry and did not appear to have been in the water. Found some 40 days after the fact. That area is part of the national park there and tourists regularlly ride through on 4 wheel drive tours as well as on horseback. Could be case related, but if money were involved, I would bet against it being case related.

This case has been one full of mystery/anger/confusion/impatience and speculation , on the part of everyone...Arubans...Americans...Europeans...Asians , But with all of my optimism , I truly hope , and have faith that the Aruban/Dutch/Involved American agencies ... will gratify us and the family/freinds , no matter how long it takes .... with the relief of closure!!!!

While it may be viewed as improbable by many, probability (not known fact) leads me to conclude that there is a female in the MBHS group (and not NH) that was down in Aruba on the trip and knows things that would cast some light ,at least in part, on what happened to Natalee Holloway. She would probably not know anything about where Natalee is now though. To conclude otherwise would reqire one the assume that Natalee Holloway was a loner and was accustomed to putting herself into situations where not even her closest girl friend has a better understanding of the events surrounding this event than those know nothing classmates that appear on television and talk about what they do not know or did not see.

Thanks for kind of sticking up for me. I am aware that most people who post on this site are conservative and I am not. The phrase 'bleeding heart liberal' which Sleuth used, is, to me, a useless cartoon cliche.

I don't accept Jug Twitty as some kind of pundit.
I think he is ill-advised to state his political opinions if he is interested in peoples' support. Personally I am appalled at all of the white collar criminals in the States, and am not at all surprised at the behavior of people like Karl Rove- but I am not a 'we' and 'them' kind of person. I hold my tongue alot on this site when posters start talking about how great WE are in the US ad infinitum (as opposed to how it is in ARUBA), when we have plenty of corruption everywhere here. I think it's more alike than most people think, but that it's just a 'smaller pond' over there.

Ive been embarassed by all of the chest-beating there's been here about how great Americans are, and so many of the inhumane remarks made about the Aruban people. I think these kinds of attitudes show a childish, anti-intellectual hubris. We ARE them, and they are us, in a manner of speaking. As one poster pointed out, there are about 90,000 people in Aruba, and we are talking about a core of about 12-20 corrupt people, so let's not blame the rest. It's disengenuous to suggest they should rise up and revolt, else they are not 'good' people.

There are also alot of silly and inhumane comments about BHT on the other side. Not a good parent, why is she wearing jewelry- picky, uncharitable remarks about someone who has lost a child and is clearly suffering. What she is up against seems Sisiphysian, an impossible uphill battle. It's a phantasmagoric nightmare.

I hope someone will try to make sure that she gets more meals. When a person is in that state, they need some mothering themselves, because they simply lose their apetite. She is not going to think about eating, so if someone is available they should take that on as a project- making sure there is food around. Unfortunately that's what a daughter is usually good for. When my stepfather died, I made my mother breakfast and brought her meals- otherwise she would have just wasted away.

If it turns out to be natalee's hair then the kidnapping scenario gains ground and the likelihood of Natalie being alive also gains ground but regretably out of Aruba by now and most likely in some Arab country.The question would be: was she sold by the boys or not.I would say most likely. They had this in mind including the buyer and an opportunity presented itself when Natalee fell for Joran. People who party and gamble into the wee hours of the night like those boys would meet dirty people and end up getting bad influences. Duct tape could have been used to shut her mouth during the waiting period which initially could have been at some private house and finally at the cave.Boca Tortuga is reported as a drug transit point. To avoid the public/ possible detection the eastern coastline is obviously a prefered choice for any criminal.

Jug was giving his opinion on the US Supreme Court Nominee in which he is entitled to do, but he should've keep his opinion to himself because he was on their program to talk about his stepdaughter, and not politics. Politics has become divisive and partisan, and since Jug in a predicament in Aruba, it would be better for him to keep his political thoughts off the air. That would be my advice to him. Nonpartisans like myself don't really care what Jug thinks.

They have not had enough time to do a DNA analysis, but most likely an microscopic analysis, to see if the hair matches the color and texture of Natalee's hair, and if it does not match Natalee's hair, there would be no reason to do DNA analysis.

If it was, why would they keep quiet? They would be singing like canaries, especially Joran. Look, I rarely post on this site.... I've actually been really disappointed by some on this site that "gang up" on anyone with a different point of view; ESPECIALLY people that are Aruban, or express ANY kind of sympathy for the people of Aruba.

Well guess what people; the people being held or suspected in this case ARE NOT ARUBAN. No matter WHAT people keep saying about "Aruba wanting to protect these people" its NOT TRUE... I'm not sure yet about the fiber... to tell you the truth I didn't know too much about it before I read about it here....

I haven't been following closely since they said they sent away the "duct tape" for testing; I just figured we'd have to all wait till those results came back... now I'm hearing they may not release those results to the media; but use the results in the prosecution of the suspects of course...

did you hear about the fiber on the news? do we know what colour Natalee was wearing that night?
