Troubling development on another front.
Update: I realize ScaredMonkeys has this article up as a NH update. But I'd appreciate another translation of this article in Dutch if I could get it from a reader. I know some of it is inaccurate, though I'm also certain not all of it. But I'd like another translation if I could get one.
Thanks.
American youngsters come to the Island every month for sex, drugs and alcohol.

The Dutchman's article paints a wild picture of American teenage girls in Aruba. Yet, the article does not identify Natalee or any other of the Alabama teens. For all we know, everything the Alabamans told us was correct. Beth Twitty's demeanor in Aruba attests that the teenagers were reasonably proper.

Dan,
here is the bizzare part of that: an Iranian among them? think about that.
jordanians are close to 90 percent palestinian so this is no surprise. a lot of communiques coming out of iraq these days are from the "palestinians in the land of two rivers" who are claiming that they are "being treated worse than the jews ever treated them" in iraq right now by the shia majority.
hence once again i wonder about the iranian
Posted by: MrsJimiHendrix | Wednesday, July 06, 2005 at 03:55 PM
Dan
the iranian american and the jordanian together does not make sense.
i need to find out more about the background of the iraqi nationals as it sounds like someone may have been spying for someone else here, shia or sunni.
something doesn't sound right about this one.....

They are fighting to come to america/canada and yet hate western culture. Please explain this logic. Why not just stay home. This Iraq situation has gone on long enough. It is being dragged out by residents of other countries not even living in Iraq. Maybe sadamm should be put in charge of getting rid of them in his old fashioned way,

"An Iranian-born U.S. citizen and Navy veteran was detained in Iraq by..."
Am I the only one who read the WHOLE report? Seems this Iranian is a filmmaker ("He had also filmed in Iran, Tajikistan, Turkey and Afghanistan and consulted with scholars") who has no ties with the others arrested ("They were captured separately and don't appear to have ties to one another..."). It said that they found something in the taxi he was riding in. Also, it stated, "Los Angeles FBI Agent John D. Wilson told them weeks ago that Kar's story had checked out, that he had passed a government polygraph test...".
Perhaps this guy is innocent and should be spared your insults! Give him the respect of enjoying the liberties provided him under the Constitution... innocent until proven guilty!

clone,
that is my point.
the militant sunnis in iraq DESPISE the Shia. they call them "lower than the christians and the jews" and they mean it.
Iranians are Shia.
Also the Persians who came to the US decades ago are not all muslims and those who did come who are, the vast majority of them knew absolutely NOTHING about Islam till they came here.
This does not add up at this level. If we were talking about governmental I would beg to differ, as that is when the trickery begins (ie predominantly sunni pakistan selling nuclear secrets to iran, while in pakistan shia are killed daily for sport)

Here my translation. Hope this helps.. -
ORANJESTAD - on Aruba the vermiste teenager Natalee Holloway in the
media is put down as neat, innocently, conservative little girl of eighteen that on schoolreisje went. No little girl that on Aruba would live it up himself. But is that, however, realistic?
Arubanen know it: monthly coming thousands American young people to the island for sex, drugs and spirits. On Aruba you can, in contrast to at home in America, already drink your sixteenth and for jointje do not end up you in the
prison. ,,Here they do everything what them at home to be possible is not
possible and '', Gijs tell Hullenaar of t. He is manager of some stern and nightclubs, like of Moomba Beach, a popular range tent stop beside the hotel Holiday Inn, where Natalee
Holloway stayed.
Loose
Of t Hullenaar a clear picture of the Americans outlines such as he
them during its horecacarrière on the island to learn has known. ,,They know no borders. They go entirely loose. They drink abnormally much, they smoke dope and use frequently drugs also more. Also the meiden. That is perhaps still more awful than the boys. They flirt with the barkeepers and come ask for free spirits. If we must pay nothing, to put we your tent on stalks and makes we a nice party says them
then.''
In America young people can drink alcohol as from their 21st
anniversary and up to that time they come in bar also no. On Aruba apply the many smoother Dutch rules. ,,The young Americans do not come ordinary sociably the bar within what
to drink; no, they want stomdronken becomes. Sometimes they lay simply to pakketje dollars on the bar and say: me ' gives something for this money where I as soon as possible drank
of become '.''
In the matter of the vermiste American studente Natalee Holloway of t
Hullenaar was also interrogated. Compared with the police force and also in a retransmission of the
American television sender fox he has the reputation of American youth
under are not based on or banks put. ,,Does not know a lot American parents probably what is up to their
children here on Aruba all.''
Hypocritical
He finds now exactly hypocrite to do as if there to this all this way
the netjes go, how terrible it is also that the little girl becomes vermist. ,,But that them stomdronken from the nightclub came, that hears you, however, here on the island, but do not read you in the American press. Natural saying all parents: such do not do things my for the. But that in former days also said my parents concerning me.''

I just learned that as the results of Paul van der Sloot training in Holland for a year he did not get the required recommendations to become a Judge and was not sufficiently educated to become a Judge, and that he was notified by the President of the Common Court of the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba that he cannot function as a judge and has to look for another function it would be a great time to fire him from the Dutch civil service. Maybe during his honesty testing in the Netherlands he sweated like he did when questioned by Natalee’s mother. Why were his son and he hiding and not searching for Natalee being hia son was the last to see him?

CONTESTA DI TUR RUBIANO PA E AMERICANONAN:
yeah stupid americans, stay away from our island. you can only litter our precious island and your stupidness is once again proven by one stupid girl who just had to get drunk on our island because she can't even get drunk in your stupid bushdriven country. let's send aruba to hell, we will send you even further, for example to IRAQ, where you can keep killing yourself for that stupid oil that you so much want.
to hell with aruba, but it's you stupid americans who can't seem to stop coming to our island. the people all involved in the DRAMA of NATALEE aren't even ARUBIANS to begin with. Stay away you fools.
You want to blame Aruba?? Let me ask you this....what was a 18 year old girl doing anyway getting drunk, searching for drugs (oh yeah, didn't think that was true eh?) and getting in a car with strangers. Isn't AMERICA the no 1 country where parents learn their kids to NEVER enter a car with strangers?
Keep on blaming Aruba, but remember this....Aruba is the only island in the whole caribean to have launched a national search for this girl....we can't say that about the US when one of ours is missing in AMERICA...
PEOPLE OF THE US....do not get carried away; this "innocent" girl already pulled a trick like this when she was fourteen years old vacationing on ST. Maarten....if something bad did happen to Natalee it was certainly partially her OWN STUPID FAULT!!!
SOOOO... TO HELL WITH ARUBA, the island stupid Americans like YOU love to go to to get laid and use drugs, to get away from the stupid, boring, harsh reality you live in over there, ruled by monkeys who like to think they can rule the world.
Start resolving all the millions missing persons cases over there first.
thank you and goodbye, hope you all burn in hell, just like us. To hell with Americans TOO!

Binbei - That's just the attitude that is turning Americans against your island. It's really in your hands what Americans do. Find the girl, treat American tourists nicely. Don't let your jealousy, hostility and hatred toward us show We only go to visit and enjoy your island, but nobody wants to go where they are not liked and where they can "disappear" and the legal authorities do nothing about it. All that hatred that you feel towards the Americans who are doing you no harm would be better spent directed at your Dutch-appointed judicial system and your corrupt officials and the criminals that you refuse to prosecute. Clean up your act and Americans will come back. Maybe.

HI
I translated parts of the dutch article:
I was surprised to read such things because it doens't give a good picture of americans and american teens...
Teenagers US especially do partying on Aruba
ORANJESTAD
Missing teenager Natalee Holloway is portrayed in the media like a decent, innocent, conservative eighteen year old girld who whent on a school trip. Not a girl who would go wild on Aruba. But is this realistic?
The Arubans know this: every month, thousands of American youth comes to the island for sex, drugs and booze. In Aruba, you may, not unlike at home in America, start drinking at sixteen and if you smoke a joint, you don’t go to jail. “Here they do all kind of things they wouldn’t or couldn’t do at home”, says Gijs van ‘t Hullenaar. He is the manager of some bars and nightclubs, like Moomba Beach, a very populair beachtent just beside the hotel Holiday Inn, the place where Natalee Holloway was staying.
Loose
Van ‘t Hullenaar is portraying a clear picture of Americans just like he got to know them on the island, during his horeca career. “They don’t know any limits. They go all loose. They drink so much it isn’t normal anymore, they blow and often use a lot of drugs. The girls too. They are perhaps worse then the boys. They flirt with the bartenders and ask for free drinks. ‘If we won’t have to pay, we will rock this joint and have a real great party” the girls say.
In America teenagers may drink alcohol at 21 but untill then they won’t come in any bar. On Aruba, the dutch rules are present, wich are more flexible. “Young Americans don’t come to the bar to have a nice time, they only want to get waisted. Sometimes they put a stash of dollars on the bar and say: ‘give me something for this money so I can get waisted very quick.’
In the case of missing American student Natalee Holloway, van ‘t Hullenaar was interrogated too. To the police and on the episode of an American news station Fox, he wasn’t too positive about the reputation of American youth. ‘A lot of parents don’t even know what their kids are up to here on Aruba.’
Hypocrite
He thinks it is hypocritic to act like everything is going very fine here, despite an American girl missing. “The fact she came waisted out of the nightclub, is going around here on the island but you don’t read anything about that in the American press. Of course all parents say: my daughter doesn’t do such things. But my parents said the same thing about me once.’
This is the translation as good as I could do it. I hope I could help you.

Okay...even if everything in that Dutch article were true about American youth (which it is not), what is this Dutch reporter's point? That there is some way to mitigate the abduction and probable murder of a young girl by a young boy? And how? By slandering her, her family, her country? I don't think so.
The Dutch need to deal with the following:
An American girl has been abducted and most likely murdered.
A Dutch boy is most likely responsible for this crime, but does not have the moral center to even be truthful or take responsibility for his actions.
The Arubian police are controlled by the Dutch and not by Arubians. They are thwarting this investigation out of sense of inbred loyalty that has no bounds of decency or morality.
Why is this so? Because The Netherlands is rotting with social decay from the inside out. Joran is a product of Dutch society not Arubian society and is a plague on all who encounter him. Arubians suffer because he exists, Americans suffer because he exists. And while the suffering goes on, the Dutch try to pretend that a tipsy American teenager is more of a threat in this world than a murdering Dutch teenager.
Pretend away.

Some Dutch tourists on Aruba were in a tv-program half hour ago. They heard, per a friend of Natalee, that Natalee was on alcohol and drugs the night before her last night and went swimming in the sea, with some other people. Something occured, there would almost have been an accident [because of the alcohol and the drugs]
But hey, shoot the messenger.

Anybody heard that the 2 CAMEL JOCKEYS are threatening to sue BHT if she makes anymore derogatory statements about them? From what I can tell she is stating facts when she refers to them as "criminals".
Best case scenario is to let them stay free and let a few real "Americans" meet up with them in about 6 months. Then justice could prevail.
No joke. These 2 CAMEL JOCKEYS better be looking over their shoulders from this time forward. I can guarantee you that there are many people that would love to harm them in some way. Maybe they'll have to sleep with one eye open the rest of their lives. That would only be fitting.

@mrs. MojoRisin'
You must either be blind or you have never visited Aruba. The Dutch article gives a very accurate description of the behaviour of American youths on the island. The reality is that American teenagers on holidays do dumb shit.
The point that this article is trying to make is that the media in the US portrays Natalee as some virgin holy saint while she probably is just like any other American teenager (the kind that does dumb shit). The article doesn't even touch on the subject of her kidnapping/possible murder.
I get the feeling that the American public doesn't really want to know what happens on these kind of trips, why else haven't any of Natalee's classmates been interviewed on TV?

@Yolande
I read the same story on one of the Dutch blogs as well that Natalee was drinking and using drugs at the same time posted by Dutch people who live in Aruba. Guess someone has to tell BT that she has to wake up and smell de goddamned coffee! Her angel is not an angel, she is just a teenager who wants to have fun when her mother is not there to bully her around.
And for all those bigmouth hotshots blablablabla my arse southern yankees, I advise to stay in your country, close your door and never come out again. Remember you will never be save... anywhere! And if you do decide to go to Aruba please use a trackingdevice on your body so your people can at least find your arse back in Venezuela!
Should you ever come to The Netherlands: be aware that the coffeeshops don't sell you ordinary grass instead of weed b/c really that will suit your COW boys better.
BTW bamaman, just a PERSONAL question to you. You seem to me like a stupid, ignorant, fat and ugly person with no social life. Well? Are you?

Dutchy,
I'm actually well educated (2 M.S. degrees), in great shape and definitely not ugly. But I am not afraid to call a kettle black if it needs to be done. Such is the case with Aruba and it's govt.
I feel for a country that has absolutely NO MORALS at all. Whitewashing the sand n*****s and J(urine's) crime will definitely contribute to the spiraling economic problems for your island. Wait and see.
As for you and Bamidad, I welcome you to visit Alabama. We would show you a great time (wink, wink)...lol.
Posted by: bamaman | Wednesday, July 06, 2005 at 06:59 PM
Dutchy, I personally dont care wether Natalee took drugs or whatever. But it makes you wonder about other possible things that might have happened that night. Maybe Natalee lost consciousness and drowned?
I still cant believe Joran can lie this long. And I also cant believe his father had anything to do with it. I saw him in an interview as a gentle and genuine man.
Posted by: Yolande | Wednesday, July 06, 2005 at 07:00 PM
If I were vacationing on an island with friends, I would most definitely be cocktailing, but this all started about Natalee Holloway missing, she was of legal drinking age in Aruba, who cares if she was partying, questions should be asked to the VanDerSloots as to how they allow their minor son to drink and gamble when he is only 17. Night of her disappearance and night after. Everyone seems to keep shifting blame everywhere, she was last seen with those 3 suspects their conduct from the beginning changing stories means somethings up -

- as a small island nation we only need 500 thousand tourists per year. so if you stop coming..the gap will soon be filled by other visitors (some good marketing campaign in holland, europe!!)
- as you guys are bringing all hatred and intolerance upon yourselves..(because of your own ignorance, arrogance and trailer trash)don't travel abroad anymore...ur asses are in danger of being ransacked
- arubans are very nice, flexible, warm, helpful people. we will not harm. but we are full of temperament. so don't mess with us.

Posted by: Yolande | Wednesday, July 06, 2005 at 07:07 PM
MurfTN: The Netherlands and most other European countries aren't so spastic about drinking alcohol, over here is it ok to do that when you're 16. We teach our teenager to drink responsibly, that is why you won't see European teenagers gone completely wild on Aruba...
Posted by: BamiDad | Wednesday, July 06, 2005 at 07:07 PM
Yolande, me neither. There are so much rumors going around. Also 2 fishermen has seen a car on the beach near the Mariott Hotel at the time she dissapeared for 40 minutes. Now, we know that Joran didn't had a car but was dropped of by de Kalpoe brothers. Who's car was it then?
And I basically think the same like you. I cannot believe that a 17 year old under heavely interrogation can hold his mouth that long.
Posted by: Dutchy | Wednesday, July 06, 2005 at 07:08 PM
Dearest Mrs. Jimi:
Please explain to me why I was able to predict, so successfully, that a link to a Dutchman's letter would be added sometime in the future to this post. Maybe I possess superior psychic ability! I guess I can expect a call from the Texas electronic posse.
Posted by: harry | Wednesday, July 06, 2005 at 07:14 PM
Bamidad,
I think thats admirable if you have taught your children to drink responsibly. It was to my understanding with Carlos & Charlies that you had to be 18 to drink. But Joran VanDerSloot has been going completely wild on Aruba - I saw his pictures on several websites, in a shower with a girl and a guy, drinking, including C & C's. He is certainly not the whole island of Aruba, but this is looking like a cover-up and he represents what everyone seems to be putting off to an american tourist that remains still missing.
