I managed to make contact with two sources today and tonight - should be getting an update out within the half hour. Some minor but interesting developments on the ground, as well as where things may be going from here.

ABOUT TODAYS'S EVENTS.....

My heart just sank to the floor today when I heard that the Kalpoe Brother's were released. (Not that I think they are guilty but, I think the pressure on Joran would of been greater with them still detained.)
I do believe that they were "just the ride".

However, this won't make the Holloway/Twitty Family sleep any easier.

I know this may be one of those things where what I thought I heard was something heard out of context. But. Shortly after Greta van Sustren arrived in Aruba, the first night, late, I thought I'd heard her say that she'd learned that Natalee was in the van Sloot house about 3 AM the night she disappeared and that there'd be more on that later. Then - nothing more on that ever followed, in fact nothing about 3 AM in the Van Sloot house at all, about anything. Perhaps that turned out to have been in error so was not repeated, or as I'd said, was my mistake.

Greta just interviewed two of Natalee's best friends who were not aware of Joran's presence until the last evening at Carlos and Charlie's. The thing that strikes me is the disconnect here between what Natalee did and what the best friend's did. Normally girl groups of best friends always hang together UNLESS something else enters the picture. Her best friends left at approximately 12:00 and Natalee stayed. Those friends know a whole lot more than they are telling. Not to say they know anything bad but they know exactly why Natalee did not leave with her own group. If they are the best friends and Natalee wanted to stay there at Carlos and Charlie, the best friends know why. Frankly, they look like Stepford kids in the interview. Who told them OK we need an interview but don't tell why (for whatever reason even dumb) Natalee stayed until Carlos and Charlie's closed.

What about the cell phone guy when Natalees mom first arrived on the island? He knows what number a call was made from if a call was made to Alabama that night Natalee went missing...The Holloway's have not spoken as to not jeopardize this case, I think they should speak now to ensure that Joran won't be home anytime soon...(if this is a working investigation in Aruba)

Natalee supposeably did stay until closing, but also 50 plus teens from Mountain Brook left Carlos N Charlies and then went back to beach at hotel and pool area until around 5 a.m. - I would think that both Joran and Nat would of been seen if he and Natalee were dropped off in that area...the Marriott beach area would be visible from the Holiday Inn beach...

The Holloway-Twitty's need to do two things.

1. They need to lawyer up QUICKLY, like yesterday and start civil proceedings against ALL the suspects and tie them and their funds up in court.

2. And this really should of been first, like 4 weeks ago, but they need to call these guys.

I think the friends also know more.
When I was in high school and in college, me and all my girlfriends always stayed together when going places and we always new each others business....especially if it had anything to do with guys...
just seems strange to me.

Something occurred to me RE: date rape drugs--

The boy or man who wants to have sex with someone who has been given a date rape drug is just one step short of being a necrophilic.

Jeffrey Dahmer laced his victims drinks with drugs in order to 'turn them into zombies'. He performed a variety of 'experiments' on them to try to turn them into zombies-- like drilling a hole in one's head and pouring something in it, etc...

Staynor, a murderer of four women in Yosemite California kept his third victim alive for hours and hours prolonging a 'sexual encounter' under duress. The fourth victim he had to dispatch prematurely because she was 'unruly', but he returned later to her body, decapitated her and then did something sexual related to her head.

The point of this post is the following:

IF INDEED JVDS had a habit of drugging and then raping victims (there has been a rumor that he had done this and bragged about it), this is DEEPLY abnormal psychologically and was inevitably leading somewhere...to a female's death.

If the rumors about JVDS were true, I am sure that an 'accidental death' in the commission of one of these rapes and his CAPTURE for it stopped short an eventual INTENTIONAL type of murder he'd have committed later on in life.

I've thought from that interview with the first set of kids that they are hiding something from the public. HOpefully they have told the FBI the truth but they definitely know more than they are saying to the media. They don't want their parents and family and church friends to know what all they were up to on that trip. These were kids celebrating their graduation just out to have a good time never expecting one of them to come up missing.

I remember hearing Natalee was in Van Sloot home also. And if a call was made from Natalee's cell phone then how or why did the chaperon have it the next morning and use it to call Beth. Also I thought I heard one of her friends say they brought her luggage down stairs because they thought she may have been in some other friends room and come down later. But Beth said her things where in her room just as she left them. With hundreds of people on that island vacationing I feel sure there were people still all over the beach at 2 or 3 in the morning and someone saw something. Out of 134 or so students from one school some of them had to be still out. But if she were at the Van Der Sloots home no one would know except Joran and daddy Sloot. Where did daddy Sloot go in the days after Natalee came up missing. Joran could have gone on to school and daddy took care of things later. And momma Sloot is out of town and bless her heart she doesn't have a clue about who her son really is.

I look forward to hearing what the Twtty's have discovered that they will reveal in the morning. Meanwhile, I think the Mountain Brook group probably has information that may reveal other potential suspects. They probably don't realize this and are just hiding just how much drug use and drinking went on. They are just normal kids wanting to have a big party blow out on the island. They do the same thing when they come to Florida's beaches - no matter where they are from. Quite frankly our children just aren't as innocent in this regard as they want us to believe they are. I went thorough some real eye openers following spring breaks on local beaches because I have a son, now 22 and we live close to several of the popular beaches.

I think some of these kids were doing drugs and somebody sold it to them. I think Natalie ODed and Joran may or may not have been with her when it happened. A follow up with the people who sold them drugs may lead to why someone wanted to hide her. It could bust open a local unwanted Mafia drug cartel investigation.

I am not convinced that what happened between Natalie and Koran was anything other than a normal teenage attraction/fling. He didn't get to C&Cs until about 30 minutes before closing time and came over there because she asked him to. Some reports, but not all, suggest that she was already quite buzzed. Most of the information indicates that she initiated the friendship between them, not the other way around. A friend of his,a girl, who was interviewed said he is well liked and she would not see him as someone who would harm Natalie.I also am not convinced that he actually knew the night they were together that she had disappeared. If the drug dealers/mafia are behind the disappearance, he is probably afraid for his, and family's life, if he says anything.

Just an idea. Maybe in morning more info will come out.

I think, we must wait for the press conference to take place today. I think, it is a huge cover up. The Kalpoe brothers are innocents. Let's focus on the Van Der Slot and their tight connections with the Aruban goverment.

It behoves me that some people cant accept somethign as JUSTICE untill it meets her needs. She is even callin on th eother countries to "not give them refuge" wht nonsense is this?

She shoudl be happy that the efforts are being more concentrated now.

It stills makes me wonder what all the boys did in those 10 days with the evidence. To me that was enough time to clean up. I too believe it has been a cover up from the get go. The Netherlands government is too late for the search it should of been done in the 10 days when the boys were out. What are they going to find? Absolutely nothing I am sure. Perhaps, they are using NH case for other covert operations on island crime problems.
