9PM Update From Aruba

Could only reach limited sources, cell phone connections to Aruba continue to be worst I've seen in a month. Others report similar problems. There are a few additinal contacts I'd like to reach to flesh out this brief report - but it's from very reliable sources.

Most if not all of the Twitty-Holloway family members were going to come home over the weekend, according to the report the EquuSearch team may have been suggesting Beth and Jug not leave just now. There is no confirmation that means anything, even if true.

Apparently some underwater areas in need of additional searching had high seas today and could not be completely searched.

I've previously reported that emotions seem to ebb and flow on the island. A recent report suggests they are running very high again and there is increasing animosity between the government and family of Natalee Holloway. On the one hand, one source suggests the government is tired of her "demands," and, on the other hand, it's being reported that the family still feels there is a cover up and a lack of full co-operation on the part of the Aruban government.

It has been suggested to me that the family of Natalee Holloway could "come out swinging" very soon in terms of its public statements on issues at hand. That had been reported to me by another source almost a week ago, but it didn't materialize to the level anticipated.

What I did hear differently this time was that, if it did happen, the government could swing back and the situation could begin to grow very ugly. I'm continueing to try and reach out to other reliable sources on the island for their viewpoints and known facts. To add on to what I said above as regards certain sources, the sources consulted for this update are highly credible and completely objective.

Thank you for the update Dan. It seems like we are starting to see the "wear" of this entire nightmare on the Holloway/Twitty family finally. I think now is a good time for everyone to pray big time that they continue to keep it together and really focus on Natalee. I believe Tim had the right idea - focus on finding Natalee and get her home (or her body home). Ignore what is happening in their government and investigation and continue their own efforts in finding Natalee.

I do hope the prosecution is able to detain the boys longer, but at this point, the primary focus for the Holloway/Twitty's should be finding the girl and then after they have accomplished success there, then worry about the details of what happened and decide what to do about that part later.

Time for everyone to support them, they definitely are feeling the strain and need to know they are still supported.

AnjeL - I hope not. That would be horrible. But I believe they have to approve Visa's don't they? So that would imply "yes", they could revoke their Visa if they wanted to get nasty about it. I doubt they would do that though given the "heat" they are already under and the scrutiny by the world over this. However, they may also revoke Visa's to media I suppose as well. Who knows. Pretty frightening thought.

What I meant to say was there is a set time, and I think the polis can control how rigidly the rule is kept....which means, I think that if Beth et al. start making a public stink (you go, girl!) then possibly it's being hinted that they might be asked to leave, all under the guise of "it's the rules".....which more and more look like they're being made up as they go along!

I myself wondered why natalee was not listed on the fbi list of missing /endangered people....there are so many starnge things about this case and I still don't understand why Brth Holloway keeps saying she "knows" who is involved and who else needs to be arrested but won't ever say who it is or what the answeres are - and if Aruba can truly send them home for "interfering" with a investigation yet let Paul Vandersloot walk free after the "no body no case" advice he gave his son then I am just at a loss...........................where int he world is natalee?

Could be they are still down there and since the murder charges (if the Dutch would do something) and the search has it on hold. In other words, maybe since the search is still ongoing, they would not formally list missing??

So much for the "happy island." I have no faith that the "Unholy Three" will be ordered held in custody for 60 days at the hearing Monday. Reuben Trapenberg's critical statements regarding the aruban prosecutor on John Kasich's "Heartland" program on Fox tonight were very revealing, as well as his repetition that the US could send 100 FBI agents and they wouldn't be allowed to perform an active role in the investigation. I am afraid the worst suspicions of some of a coverup by the aruban/dutch authorities is all to likely to be true.

but don't forget the Holloway family knows a lot more than we do and are sworn not to tell in case it jeopardizes the investigation ...(makes no sense to me, but those are their rules)

Now we realize the planes are in CURACAO! The map says that is the wrong island!

What the heck is going on down there? Who is this Ruben character on the news?? He is terrible and confrontational, sitting there with the defense lawyer from Aruba!

I don't know what to say about this situation anymore, it is so perplexing. I think maybe the people should all show up for Monday's hearing to let the judge (ha) know you all are watching the decision and if they murder suspects 'walk,' you will not like it.

It seems that the Aruban people are on the Holloway's sides. In fact, Tim Miller of Equusearch reported the other night that the Aruban people had donated a "sizeable" amount of money in contribution to Equusearch to allow them to stay longer. He was saying great things about the Aruban people, whom are so supportive. It is the "officials and the government" that he has a beef with, and the Holloway/Twitty's have.

I have stuck with the kidnap theory all along---it is just so frustrating that somebody, somewhere cannot fly those F-16's or mount a recon. mission to the mainland, based on what leads they must have. They MUST have some info on where NH is being held.....Curacao, Colombia, or Caracas.

How much more do you need to know?

UPDATE 2 on F-16's from Hasibokos: According to the official communiqué by the ministry of defense the F-16’s will not be stationed on Aruba but on the neighbouring island of Curaçao (about 30 miles away). F-16’s will be refueled in the air by a KDC-10 (see photos of the Dutch KDC-10 performing air refueling here) and are expected to land on Monday afternoon. Hasibokos.com has also received additional information with regard to the equipment onboard the F-16’s.

don't you think that the investigation would go faster and better if the Holloways and Twittys backed off a bit. Even in the US with Laci Peterson, the case wasn't solved in a month and the husband wasnt arrested for months. Its pretty amazing to me that the family thinks we can go in and take over an investigation in a foreign country. Thats a risk when we travel abroad. We have to deal with the laws there. Can you imagine if an Aruban girl went missing in Miami? And Aruba wanted to take over the investigation???

I've been watching this case unfold from day one, my own speculations aren't pretty... One must hope that the Aruban LE is doing all they can to return NH to her family. I am sure that they are aware, if they don't do this, that all hell will break loose. The only intelligent coments I have heard lately are from Ruben Trapenberg who is right to get het up when some silly Fox anchor suggests that the investigation be taken over by the FBI. Great,just reminds me of the Simpson trial, Barreta and even the hundreds of unsolved murders

Why did Johan's father not help in the search of Lacee when his son arrived home and said the girl
he was with was missing? Why? He was helping his son dispose of the body.

The police obviously made a huge mistake not going to the Van Sloot house right away, but as they say in France, trop tard. It is now too late to remedy that crash mistake. Let the Dutch settle their case and the media should find out why did 16 American soldiers die in Afganistan a couple of days in one helicopter crash? 16 young men died and only few minutes nedia timecover that story.
