1 AM Natalee Holloway Update

Some additional information has come in since my earlier update here.

When I suggested that EquuSearch may have indicated to the family that there could be a develpment soon, that was correct. Though speculative at best, they apparently have managed to identify what appear to be container(s) on the bottom which require a closer look as one could be used to dispose of a body. None of the information I've learned would lead me to get overly optimisitc. Nothing can be known until these containers can be inspected more closely. Rough waters may have hindered that operation today.

Also, and this is part opinion based upon reliable feedback - but there should be at least some concern that there is more PR being done by the Dutch and Aruban authorities to support the search for Natalee Holloway, than effective action on the ground.

Along with being unclear what role the F-16's can really play given where the search rests today, the promise of the Dutch Marines being involved have proven to be little more than talk at this point. My last information suggests that when they were contacted by individuals close to the search, it was relayed that they were busy on "maneuvers" and would get to it, eventually. To the best of my knowledge, no time frame was suggested for when that might be.

This report is consistent with a few interviews in which Tim Miller from Equusearch posed these same points of interest. Also, in his interview today he said that he had not even seen what a Marine uniform looked like. The Dutch Marines seem to be playing cat and mouse games with Equusearch, as more than one occasion Tim Miller has reported they both parties would be scheduled to meet some designated place and the marines would not show up, because supposedly they were "finding Natalee" elsewhere. Or so they have claimed.
Tim Miller was very tired looking, beat down and even depressed today on the interview and said Equusearch would NOT be talking to anyone anymore except Beth's family. They were going to search ever inch and do everything in their power with or without help from the Marines or the Arubans.

There are many cases where media coverage does not help and may hinder (eg Polly Klaas), but in this case, the blogs stimulated the MSM and without Fox and the rest, the Aruban Govt would have buried this.

Elsewhere on this blog there are citations to old articles about the role of Aruba in the drug trade. The economy may have evolved, but the people don't change.

Those 3 boys, Croes and poossibly their immediate family members know what happenned but they won't talk because they are one way or the other implicated.Otherwise there wouldn'tbe any need to lie in any way if they where innocent over such a serious matter. Just got through listening to an interview on TV. I had missed it earlier tonite. There is a lot to be read between the lines of this interview as well as a lot of the other interviews i have heard in the past weeks.
I think that this whole case comes down to big time orginized crime all the way from the top down in the ARUBAN goverment. The are all involved in drugs and other crimes.
I noticed tonite that George Twitty said "we know a lot that the WORLD and the USA does not know yet." I suspect that if the corrupt goverment of ARUBA does not come clean no matter who is in danger there of getting their throats slashed that the TWITTY'S are expose everything that they have found out and I am sure that have a big story of a Huge ring of orginaized crime to tell us all about. Below is some good info on ARUBAS landscape. I heard they were going to concentrate on the east end of the island as that is where the phone calls came from to search some more.

Pearl - You Arubans never cease to amaze me. First of all, why be so defensive. Yes, this happened on your island, but it has become progressively clear that you, like in many places, including The States, have lost control of your government. If my child gets lost at say Wal-Mart the store is locked down and we have a description of him given out pronto... noone gets in or out of the store. The next step would be an Amber alert, We would not wait 16 days to start questioning and detaining people. Amber Alert resulted from a missing person case, not something we have had a long time in the US. Maybe Aruba will do the same as a result of Natalee. They run behind us in crime and haven't had the same need for Amber Alert.

It is my understanding the boys were wire tapped early on. That is VERY invasive and doesn't suggest nothing was being done early on in the investigation. So, people can agree to disagree about circumstances that are made very public and still be civil.

I do have children. I would be sick to death like Mrs. Twitty and I have stated that. I understand Mrs. Twitty state of mind. My complaint, if you read it over again, was that the news media is suppose to be professional in reporting, not just in this particular case but always. I hope that I am free to say that?

On another note, if he is telling the truth, Mickey John said that one of the Kalpoes said that he expected to see Natalee stumble in the the next morning, maybe in the company of crack heads etc. Does anyone have that quote?

If those statements were true, on the part of the Kalpoe kids as quotes by Mickey John, then this the statement is consistent with being "sold" or handed over to other predators, which may give some hope.

But those statements are inconsistent with Paulus' statement (No body, no crime).

But on the other hand, the original fake story that Natalee stumbled and fell on the way into the hotel, and that she wanted to see the sharks, is more sinister.

this got me thinking about the refinery murder. There is only a single article about it, in Diario, in Papiamento. Someone translated 1/2 of the article and what was translated sounds very suspiciously planted to me. There is no followup. The name is Rene Michel Van Heyningen in Diario and not Sergio Gomez. They pinned it on his wife (or other). But they said that they didn't know who helped her move the body. They have done no followup, however.

I see that the Aruban police were able to solve this case pronto, weren't they? No problems here. and no left over questions - like why would a wife, in a crime of passion, stuff a tongue down the throat? (that was reported, wasn't it, or am I misremembering?)
