The full throttle search is anticipated to begin tomorrow. They are starting with three grids, one over water and two over land. They will cover those grids before moving on to additional grids based upon evidence or indicators that suggest one spot being more likely to be productive, than another.
Boats are expected to run 24/7 with two boats on the water at all times. In the event of a sonar hit, divers will be dispatched into the area.
There is a great deal of conflicting talk coming from the island. Some is consistent with much of what is in the news, other speculation is very different. Honestly, I can't ascertain the motivations, and in some cases the root source for some of what is being said.
Unfortunately, what I also cannot do is conclude that anyone has extablished beyond a reasonable doubt what really happened that night, or has even established a solid theory. As always in this case, that doesn't mean authorities don't have one; but if they do, they seem to be keeping a pretty good lid on that, as Dutch law requires.
It's quite possible that their necessary silence is leaving room for any number of theories and speculations that will prove unfounded.
Some individuals on the ground are still feeling very positive as regards the current cooperation of the Aruban authorities.

From what I saw yesterday on Greta's show and Hannity and Combs it is starting to look like they suspect Natalee may have been kidnapped and "sold". Why else would they confiscate computers from both the Van der Sloots and the other 2 boys, plus Mrs. Van der Sloot's digital camera?
Prayers for Natalee's family and friends that this will all be over soon.

Go buy the PEOPLE magazine that came out today....it has a great article about the search for NH. Apparently her two twin cousins were on the trip and gambled with JORan. I think they probably told Beth that Natalee had befriended JOran and that is why she knew about him right of the bat and tracked him down when she first landed in Aruba.

Fox news just reported that the Aruban police suspect the 4 boys and the Dad are all involved in the murder of Natalee.. They believe she was murdered. The dad is being held under lesser charges but still sounds pretty serious to me.

there has always been few things which intrique me abt this disappearance, although i do fully support and pray from my heart that she be found and return home safely, there seems to be many puzzling issues abt this which i cant comprehend or understand, there is always some questions abt the things which never were made public abt NH, and a lot of information was not revealed, and we were led to beleive that all these kids from Alabama were angel like. Unfortunately now we are all agonizing for the news of her safe return or some news abt the closure in some form or the other. It leaves many questions which probably will never be answered and who knows if there will be all facts told. more and so perplexed. there has been abundant misinformation from both sides and actually those 5 can be punished for lying we will never find what other lies we were made to beleive..... regardless still hopefull for the safe return and optimistic

Rushing to judgement may lead us all to some hosh posh desicion, in all likeyhood any hope of safe return dwindled today with fox reporting that murder or manslaughter charges are pending on some or all fo the 5 suspects under arrest. this is definitely not a news any of us wanna hear, and in the absence of any one coming forward for the reward may mean there is no sight of NH any where. THere are more unanswered questuins and more rumors, and even Fox has changed its story ( by way of Aruban government making conflicting statements in early part of investigation) lets wait for some postive breakthrough and see if some one calls or NH sends a message thru someone ......

Supposedly the "suspicion" charges are whatever the worst possible charges that could eventually be brought. Later, they can reduce the charge, but not increase it. IMO, the pre-meditation could be if they believe she was drugged, but I have nothing factual to base that on. Hope this helps, though I know it's not much.

On MSNBC/Abrams Report, Mariainne Croes said VDS father was suspected in the disappearance. Abrams tried to pin her down on whether that meant covering up afterwards, and she was pretty clear that the suspicion is he was involved in the actual disappearance.

I was told by one of the mom's who son was on the trip that the flights were not chartered. The students and chaperones all flew together.. I think the "another person is Missing" is another rumor.. first I've heard about it...

My parents were actually vacationing at the Hyatt in Aruba when this happened belive it or not and people at her Hotel said they were on the plane with the kids and they were totally out of control. No chaperones though they were on a different flight.

Any time Texas eqqusearch gets in the picture, it is safe to assum we are now looking for body or remains and not the live NH, secondly most of the law enforcement is now addressing this case as premeditated... or talking about crime being commited most possibly by one of these 5 and rest are accessory of one kind or other, it also seems some rush to get a result like most high profile cases in US, about ME i still hold enough hope that she be found alive and will set all record straight for these 5 and possibly others.

This is what I was going by. I really don't know anything about it, though.
As far as the flights go, they could not all fit on one flight, so they took two. They were not private or chartered. All of the "chaperones" may have been on the same one. Regardless, let's don't bash the chaperones or students again. The behavior of some of the group has no bearing on NH's behavior and no implication in this case.

When official charges are finally filed by Aruba authorities, 6'5" 17-year-old Joran van der Sloot will very probably be charged with kidnapping and premeditated murder...and Paul van der Sloot, Deepak and Satish Kalpoe, and Steve Croes will in all likelyhood be charged with complicity to kidnapping and premeditated murder. How sad this must be for Rita van der Sloot and her family and friends (if she's as innocent and unknowkedgeable as she seems), and this apparently tragic conclusion is an absolute nightmare for Natalee Holloway's family and friends. May Natalee's body be recovered soon, and may God comfort and bless all of the parties involved in this human tragedy, as well as all of the loving citizens of Aruba.

The press is being very quiet which usually translates to offering a degree of respect. I wonder if the recovery is now happening in earnest.
The party boat DJ may have had a prior record and was known to the father in the Aruban justice system. Maybe for the right price he could be relied upon to make use of his boat. Aruba is too small of an Island. If you want to hide something forever it goes to the sea. I hope to God I'm wrong.

Ok, I understand. I think Jennifer Wilbanks is not a great comparison. She was much older, experienced, and it happened in the States. If this had occured in Alabama and there were signs of trouble with NH, I would say its a possibility.
I have tried to prepare myself for the inevitable news. The only happy scenerio for me would be she is captive on the island. However, I would think by now she would have been released.

Being from NY and working in NYC I carry mace on me at all times and have taken self defense classes. However that wouldn't help me after I have had a few drinks and took my eye off a drink long enough for someone to slip something in it. I believe that what happens is going to happen. Mario Rodriguez, a resident at the north end of the lake, said he was taking a walk when he found the carcass of a 4 or 5 foot long shark at water's edge earlier this week.
Officials told news partner NewsChannel 5 the shark was either a nurse shark dumped in the lake or a bull shark, which have been known to travel many miles inland in freshwater.
How it got there, however, remains a mystery.

FBI can only work within the bounds of their duties according to headquarters in washington dc and if another country's equivalent if you will gives them the thumbs down then according to their own protocol, they have no choice but to walk away. kinda like what they have been known to do at times to authorities at the local level in criminal cases of late. so it is a tit for tat, so to speak.
on the other hand, a private contractor can do whatever he dam well pleases.
it would be like comparing a public school to a private school. one is bound to state laws and regulations the other is to perhaps some extent but really is bound by it's own schools personal rules and code of ethics.

What is going to happen if Equusearch comes up with nothing? tomorrow will be 26 days since Natalee's disappearance, all this thing going back and forth and getting nowhere and I would like to comment on the following, what if Natalee made a bad decision about Joran? what if in fact she was drugged and unable to get her bearings back? is it correct to suppose that she was not "holier than thou?" if she was or was not a virgin, it is not our quest to find out...judge not that you may not be judged they say, just step into her shoes for a minute and think what you would have done...just look at all the support she is receiving from her family and the anxiety on their faces, their pain and agony at not knowing anything...she is a well-loved young woman who has the respect and love of those around her, and it is incorrect to think otherwise, what has happened to her is awful beyond words and I still believe from the bottom of my heart that she is alive and unable to speak freely, she has been kidnapped, not murdered and disposed of, that would have been too easy for those monsters, they had to gain something and that something was money in exchange for her, that is why they needed Joran's father, somebody with authority, power and connections (Me thinks the men do protest too much!!). It is really not that difficult to accept that explanation since the world is full of whackos who have not had the guts to go into therapy to fix themselves so that they can honor the term "Human Beings" and instead go through life damaging all they touch like those creeps in jail. Aside from praying for Natalee, it would be nice if we could all not pay attention to all those horrid rumors about how terrible she was, or that it is impossible that she could be so perfect, wherever she is, she is suffering and she is alone with nothing familiar around her.
Think about others as you would like them to think about you...think about Natalee and how awesome it would be if she could be found...

Has anyone else noticed that in the past two days since BHT spoke (along with Greta) to the VDS parents in thier home, that Beth has not been heard from? she's being very very quiet right now.
My heart goes out to her. She looked very much like she was really about to loose it right after speaking with them, and as she left there and Mrs VDS touched her arm and leaded forward to kiss Beth's cheek.... Beth almost looked like she was about to step back.
It seems that now she has.
Beth, if you are watching, or if anyone who knows her is, I just want you to really KNOW it, and FEEL it in your heart that you are so deeply respected and supported in all your efforts right now. most of us, all we can do is pray and try to help figure it all out. I personally pray for the Lord to strengthen Natalee and surround her with Guardians if she is not already home with Him. I pray for your strength and your comfort.

Well, I have a gripe about Fox News and the live interviews they are doing on the beach. I think it is in very poor taste to be doing a serious interview with Natalee's family members (or anybody else for that matter) on such a serious matter (the disappearance of Natalee) with VERY loud music playing in the background. It was so loud that I was having trouble concentrating on what was been said in the interview. I think it is VERY disrespectful, and it creates almost a circus atmosphere. And what was the VERY loud music I heard playing in the background? The Bee Gees singing "Staying Alive." I'm NOT kidding.

Jen some of the farms in Texas are larger then all of Aruba..really..
Horses get where even Humvees cant' go. The horses and dogs are well trained..its very interesting to watch them ..We still have mounted police officers in Dallas, Texas. Every once in awhile a cattle truck will flip and there is a round up right on the major freeways..the mounted officers are the cowboys when this happens.
The dogs will do thier job. If there's a cadaver they most likely will locate it.
The lore about the Texas Rangers is mostly true..too good to believe but true.
I don't hold oout any hope that NH will be found alive..anywhere..
Why do I focus on this story? I can deal with this one..but the Three children in the car trunk in New Jersey..I can't deal with that..i am very very sad and distrubed about their fate.
The news about the million flood victims in China is another that is hard to read about or think about. You wont' see me on any blogs about those tragedies.
Just waiting til Dan sends out his next information on the Aruba story.

Yes, computers are revealing. Like the city council woman in Canada who claimed she was stalked and abducted, but the computer she thought she had erased actually revealed to experts that she'd written all the stalking notes on her work computer herself. Ended up serving time for public mischief after putting her family and community through hell for about 5 days.

This story by far is the saddest story I have every heard about. I think Natalle died a HORRIFIC DEATH. One can not even began to imagine what happened was done to her before she met her fate. I do not know if any of you believe in God or not as these days, you mention the word "GOD"

I hear they call them "BIBLE THUMPERS" whatever that is suppose to mean...but my point is I know that Natalle is with GOD now looking down on us all wishing the best to her mom and dad and family and for the ones that say nice things about her she is smiling. I am not perfect and I know I make a lot of mistakes, so I will say this. Natalee's mom is a strong women, or at least she was. Her life ended on May 30th. She will never be the same not ever. I feel for her. God watch over her as she may not be able to handle this much longer. I can see it in her eyes. I know.
If it was my daughter I would be the same way. I am sure that before I left this world those little sick a-holes would be going with me. I do not care what it would take I would get to them. Maybe I would even try to find me a hit man. lol

Nancy Grace is THE BEST!!! People who are opposed to her or who do not like her, don't b/c they are intimidated by a passionate, intelligent, opinionated, and assertive woman. She is someone who I greatly admire. She was sexually assaulted years ago and her future fiance was murdered. She has tried several cases over the years representing sexual assault victims, victims of child molestation and the like. I can't stand when someone says they do not like her. It's hard for people to accept and appreciate a tough, business woman. Nancy has risen above all of her past misfortunes and deserves all the success she has achieved over the years. I just think she is the greatest (obviously)! So in my opinion John Gibson is boring and Neil Cavuto is flaky!

The link http://www.planethuff.com/darkside/ has some very interesting pix of Joran 1/2 undressed, and Mr. Huff is a websleuther, like us here at riehlworld.
I didn't read the whole thing, but the pix are pretty intense. Joran VDS was a first class loser. Mr. Huff has some very interesting analysis and I am advising people to look at his site.

Thanks, TS. I agree completely with you on the issue of "Stayin' Alive" and other music being heard in the background of Fox's broadcasts.
I wonder if a Fox producer is subtly playing with the audience's minds? I.e., allowing the interviews to go on with that background music gives the message of "look what a party-hardy atmosphere this Aruba is . . . a girl may be dead but they still keep on partyin' . . ."

Several people have asked my opinion of "the Holloway case." I don't have one, at least not where guilt, innocence, or even what happened is concerned. How could I? "American" - there are thirty-four other countries in the hemisphere, you know - news media have turned the incident into the latest scumsucker feast - all heat and no light. I don't watch or listen (as soon as it comes on, I switch to Galavision, the Mexican channel).
A fast briefing from a coffee shop friend willing to admit that he watches stupefying trash like this (this is NATIONAL news?) gets me as far as the fact that Natalee Holloway is missing. No body. No evidence. No evidence of "foul play." There are no suspects (the last people to be seen with a missing person are NOT suspects).
It does appear that Aruban authorities are beginning to bow to massive pressure from the U.S. and its corrupt media. In this country, of course, it is all-important that someone be arrested, tried. and convicted. "Closure," it's called. It is not important that the convicted be the perpetrator of the crime. If someone pays, those clamoring fof "closure." have their revenge. More than a hundred, twenty five (that we know of - statistical analysis suggests that the number is more like a thousand) innocent men found guilty of rape have been proved innocent by science, but provided necessary "closure" for females and the effeminate society. Everybody was happy.
So, our pandering media demand an arrest in Aruba, all the while searching for the next scumsucker smorgasbord and serving of grist for pander.
Meanwhile, real news - news of national impact and importance, that is - is conveniently drowned out. Social Security and the nation's economy continue their death spiral. Illegal aliens, a huge percentage of them murderous and/or sexual predator criminals, pour across the border not only unimpeded by government, but aided and abetted by capitalists in seach of exploitable labor. The death toll in Iraq and Afghanistan mounts. Young men and women Natalee Holloway's age lose arms, legs, and their lives daily. The admitted toll (you'll be able to get it on NPR for a while longer, then it'll be the foreign media) of our own young men and women has gone past 1700, and the actual toll (that's including the "private" military - CIA proprietary company) may exceed even that number (the CIA lies, you know).
People here in the coffee shop say the last people to see a missing person are, indeed, logical suspects. I beg to differ: the last people to seen a missing person are not suspect. That's a logical absurdity. A few years ago, a man disappeared under circumstances not unlike those here. He was missing for years. No suspects (no one knew who had seen him last - thank god). When a psychic was called in by police, the man and his pickup - also missing - were located at the bottom of a water-filled quarry. Lost on a country road, he had driven over a cliff, fallen into the water, and drowned.
If someone had been seen with this guy with anyone, and authorities had followed the nitwit procedure demanded by investigative geniuses like Greta Van Susteren, Bill O'Reilly, and the paragon of cool reason and rhetoric Sean Hannity, someone would have gone to jail. Meanwhile, O. J. Simpson and Michael Jackson are innocent. Great system you've got here, folks.
