A reader sends along the attached photo entitled search today. My info was that whatever was going on was at the same quarry recently featured in a Fox news piece. This picture appears to jibe with that but is not confirmed. I'm assuming the reader has rights to this picture, if that is not the case, notify me and I will take it down.

That looks to be a pretty substantial body of water. Although, I don't know why I thought it was a smaller "pond". Are those divers in the water...or is this a pic of the area pre-search?

so, Joran let us know that Natalee might possibly still turn up (dead or alive?) when he admitted having sexual relations with her.

That tells me that the last place HE SAW HER she was still ON THE ISLAND, and potentially 'findable'(...so to relieve SOME chance of possibly being found guilty of her rape, he did admit to sexual contact with her. So we know that part has to be true...he did indeed have sex with her.)

And, now we have dogs that say they either smell Natalee or a dead body around or in that Quarry...

Seems I recall the quarry shown on FOX News that was near the van der Sloot home had a very sttep wall on the left side of the screen, and appeared to be much deeper, filled with presumably fresh water.

This is purely a "WHAT IF:" If someone unaware of the quarry were to be running at night and approached it from the side of that high wall, they could plunge straight down into the depths of the quarry, and the steep banks and/or walls would make it difficult to get out, especially if somebody else was there to prevent it.

Of course, it is more likely that any body found in that deep hole would have been thrown there.

Let's pray that...IF there is a dead body in there...it will be recovered...and whoever is responsible for it being there will be prosecuted, regardless of who might be involved.

His mother’s name ANITA VAN DER SLOOT adds another dimension to the riddle. LOVED VAIN SON, and LOVED IN VAIN. Her name is one letter short of the word NAIEV(E) but DENIAL is there. Also STRAIN.
LEAV(ES) ISLAND, ( borrowing letters from her husbands name) and HOLLAND if you use the H in Natalee’s name. None of the combinations of the three VDS’s alone have produced the word HELP or SEARCH.
Borrowing a letter from Natalee’s and the P from her husbands name you do get the word PRA(Y), as well as H(Y)STERIA, and NON ENTIT(Y) for the mother. Taking two letters from her husbands or sons name you see NOT INVOLVED. Mrs Van der Sloot said she put up her HAPPY ANGEL for Natalee, using a combination of letters from names ( NH, JVDS/PVDS, SGC) Adding the I to her sons name and T and I to her husbands name forms the word REPUTATION, and she is concerned about the bad press being given her family.
