Yeah, Fox is breaking news ... there's a copter cruising over Aruba - and guess what, it has infra-red capabilities.

Damn them and their breaking news that I had at noon because of my readers and you all got as soon as I could break off from work at 6PM. I gave it to a competing net before I left the office because the guy there has been such an incredibly positive and helpful force in this behind the scenes on a daily basis that I can never repay his kind support.

You folks are amazing me. Yes, I am working behind the scenes, making calls, talking to people on the ground in certain places outside the MSM and within. But you guys, many of you, and you all know who you are even if I can't and will never name you - this may be my blog but it is really becoming our news on this. And that suits me just fine.

The MSM should start reading your comments if they want to learn something - or maybe they are. ; ) Seriously, you are all great. And I wish there was a way to credit the many people involved in this behind the scenes. One guy from somewhere else actually called me the other day to tell me Fox was breaking something "I" did in the morning. Only I simply wrote it up - one of you reported it. Nice scoop!

About the infra red sensors of the helicopter, Um if she is dead, is she is not giving off much heat?, except decay. (i don't know how much heat that intestinal gases give off to be picked up by a infra red sensor) If she is in the water, will the infra red sensors pick it up? I mean she wouldn't be giving off much heat. I think the tracking dogs or cadaver dogs would be the best bet still, IMHO.

I believe the Infra red is only useful to see if someone who is "alive and generating heat" is in the area. Maybe looking to see if someone is in a deserted house or something?

I certainly have no way of knowing whether the security guard has been truthful or not, but one possible explanation for his downward gaze on television could be if he was looking at a monitor to watch his interviewer instead of addresing the camera. It happens.
Of greater importance I believe is an overlooked comment he made during the interview I saw of him. He said the boy (Deepak?) also told him they expected her to show up in a few days at a crack house or bar. If true this seems to indicate they did something to her that they knew would incapacitate her, and that they left her in the vicinity of the crack houses or perhaps with people who frequent them. That appears on the surface to be something to pursue further. But as I watched this interview I wondered whether the security guard was being truthful or just trying to regain his reputation by appearing to be helpful.

I also just saw van der Sloot's mother interviewed. She expressed much concern for her son's well being, his toothache and missed dentist appt, his inability to go to his graduation and party, blah, blah, blah, whine, moan, groan, but made no mention of any concern for the missing girl. Perhaps it was an editing job. But she also said her son is normal, that he is not perfect, that he might kick and fight with his siblings, like other children. Kicking is a habit of normal seventeen year olds? Maybe on the soccer fields but not when the object is another person. Odd...

I beleive the infra red cameras can pick up differences in temperature. So perhaps it can pick up the difference in tempeture between organic matter such as a body and the ground around it.

OWO - I didn't take it down because the opinion differed. There are a hundred differing opinions right here in the comments of most posts. And I didn't take it down because it attacked me - honestly, I don't feel guilty for doing the best I can do. I took it down because I felt it insulted the readers and commenters as they are right now as much a part of this thing as me.

Understand, I'm also going through changes as my blog and blogging was very different before this. Like all bloggers, I ran it with an iron fist because it was, in fact, mine. Maybe it will be again when this is over - I'm unsure where it's going. But for right now it's a community of sorts - and trying to manage that as an editor, certaqinly not some Lord or God - is a whole new challenge and requires a different perspective to some degree I'm still pondering and developing as I go.

IT is correct - I called a buddy of mine, an engineer that develops infrared imaging equipment for the Army, he says infrared would pick up the difference in the wavelength of a buried body and the surrounding soil. He said a decaying body would show up as hotter than the surrounding soil, but it might be confused with a sun heated rock on tor near the surface.

Basically it shows a decaying body will increase from 75 degrees up to 105 degrees depending on how many weeks its been buried, seems like there may be a good chance of locating the body if they have specific search areas.

Google has the option to view the cached page (picture of the webpage taken a week/or month ago?). The cached page does not contain the Natalee prediction - the current one does. This means that he added his 'prediction' after the fact ;)

it sure seems like the Guard gave the investigation some life and direction. At least now they know, the other story was a lie. He got one of the brothers to tell him stuff they weren't telling the police. His info could help crack this case.

The Guard can testify against the brother. That may force him to give up more info.

Well, we now have GRETA w/FOX on the case. She will pull out whatever she can out of them. wach for her shows at 10:00 for the next few days. She has sort of a guide that took her all over the island tonite earlier on the show, including a up and close look at the lighthouse and surrounding areas. Then she did an interview with Natalee's mom. Her mom is really a good stong women.
BILL O'REILY spent a lot of time of the case on hos show and so did HANNITY & COMBS~. They are applying pressure now. Maybe we will get closer to the "what really happened" of this case. I sure hope so for th esake of Natalies family.

Another senerio. Supose he and the boys had someone approach them and tell them that if they would deliver the girl to them they would pay them a lot of money. So they met someone on the island somewhere and were payed off for the girl and she is on another island sold into SLAVERY at a BROTHEL. If they tell they may have been threatend with harm done to their familes.
These are just some thoughts. The way its going most anything is possible.

BTW--Is anyone else as frustrated that the Aruba LE didn't conduct a massive search of the VanDerSloot's home until today? I mean, they waited 14 days to throughly search the house and to pound 2 cars? I still think this wreeks of Keystone cops.

Quite honestly......
I don't believe Nat's body will ever be found.
I think these clowns that are in custody are purposely giving half ass directions knowing that every moment they delay the investigation, there is less evidence to implicate them.
Perhaps farfetched....if Nat hasn't been sold into white slavery, .....her body was dumped somewhere obscure.....perhaps property owned by the Dutch guy or his friends....
If you think about it, these little pansy ass kids that never worked a day in their life are not going to dig a grave. IF, and I say If, Nat is ever found.......it will be an extremely shallow grave........if any. These turds couldn't be bothered with burying a body to a legal depth....especially in such a short period of time.

jankee, from what I have gathered in the last few days of reporting, is that the car belonged to one of the brothers, not Joran. They did impound that silver Honda Civic from Joran's house, but it was not J's. In the search they did today of the VDS's house, they impounded 2 other cars.

Hi again, I have kept up reading these posts about the car and now there are 2 other cars. A red jeep eagle with a black top I saw and a mini van of some kind it looked like.These car were taken in from the Dutch boys home. Who owns the Gray car and do the other boys have cars. no one has ever said who these cars belong to, especially the gray one. Also they said the dutch boy has his own apartment attached to his families home. Thats where they were all at today collecting stuff. Wonder did he take her there? This get crazier and crazier as time goes on. They also said that they will probably go to the other two boys home next and do searching there next. BOY isn't that convieniant. To announce it in advance. The helicopter will be searching the island all night while it is cool I heard. BOY,what a botched investigation. I smell cover up. The dutch boys daddy wants to hire another lawyer other than the one the boy has now..The judge said no. The dad of the dutch boy also wants to visit his son. The jusdge said no to that too. Now he is sueing to see his son. NOW...I wonder about the parents of the other two brothers. Have not heard a word about them. Well, tomorrow is another day. Guess we will see what transpires next as the mystery goes on.

Just had a thought..
Going over the first alibi from the three boys, the two brothers covered for Joran by saying that Joran and Natalee were in the back seat getting intimate and at no time did they leave the car. If they had said that they left Joran and her alone, that would have given Joran a private opportunity and place for the crime.. in the back seat of that car. Then, Deepak, without completely ratting out Joran and admitting that he and his brother were anywhere near the crime scene and divulging the crime spot, the car, reveals that Joran was alone with her, but not in the car at the lighthouse, rather near the Marriott. Deepak, it seems, was revealing that Joran did in fact have private time and "opportunity" with Natalee cause they dropped the two off, while covering for his brother. My best hunch is that the two brothers, in an effort to give Joran some alone time with Natalee at the lighthouse, did in fact leave the two in the car at the lighthouse for some time. When they returned to the car, they discovered that Joran and raped and probably strangled her, now making them involved, and they probably dumped/buried the body in some out of the way spot.

Continuing on the last post.. Just read that the silver Honda, the firat auto impounded, did in fact belong to Deepak. Following my above theory, Deepak is doubled pissed at Joran for killing her in HIS car and automaically makng him and his brother accomplice.

I understand stress, blah, blah, blah....but to turn your head down and purposely avoid eye contact with the interviewer seems like a red flag to me.............

I'd make a terrible criminal. I'd crack under the least bit of interrogative pressure and be spilling my guts. These are KIDS, for pete's sake. Why aren't the police leaning hard on them during interrogations? Are these boys so hardened at 17, 19, and 21 that they won't crack and tell the truth? I know this is heart-wrenching and frustrating to Natalee's friends and family, because it is for ME and I have no personal stake in this. It feels like the police think if the boys are locked up and not able to see their parents, they'll just see the light in due time and tell the truth "when they're ready". It's been 2 long, agonizing weeks. I wish we could just send in some crusty New York homicide detectives and turn them loose on these boys for about 48 hrs. I'd bet we'd get to the truth then. This is beginning to look and feel more and more like an episode of Cold Case Files on Court TV.
