The Birmingham Post-Herald has reported that the recently arrested Joran Van der Sloot was in a pushing match with some of Natalee Holloway's friends earlier on during the night of her disappearance.
One of the three young men arrested Thursday in the disappearance of Mountain Brook teen Natalee Holloway got into a pushing match with some of her friends in an Aruban bar, one of Holloway's friends said Thursday.
Bryan Reynolds, 18, one of 124 recent high school graduates whowent to Aruba in late May, said some of his friends almost got into a fight with Joran Andreas Petrus Van Der Sloot and his friends.
The scuffle started after Van Der Sloot, a Dutch suspect arrested at his upper-class home in Oranjestad, Aruba, Thursday morning, had been talking to 18-year-old Holloway at a bar where she and classmates hung out during the five-day trip, Reynolds said.
The two brothers arrested with Van der Sloot, Satish Kalpoe, 18, and Deepak Kalpoe, 21 claim that Natalee Holloway and Van der Sloot were kissing in the rear of the vehicle now impounded by authorities.
The three are currently scheduled to appear before a judge on Saturday. The judge will rule on the justification for their being held while the investigation continues. Pictured above from left to right are Satish Kalpoe, Joran Van Der Sloot, and Deepak Kalpoe.
As depicted in the second image, many of the pictures associated with the young men seem to depict an adolescent lifestyle modeled on a presumably faux "gangsta" style, also often played at by many middle and upper-middle class youth in America today.
In a webpage maintained by Van der Sloot's younger brother which was viewed earlier today at Tickle dot com he listed his occupation as "Pimp." The web page is not being linked as his age is unknown and he has not been implicated in this incident.
Additionally one group picture associated with the older Ven der Sloot's now gone web page was entitled "The Pimps." WHile this cultural phenomenon may not differ all that much from that of many American teenagers, it is not putting a pretty face on the tiny island of Aruba which depends almost entirely on tourism to support its economy.

If these punks were in the U.S., inverstigators would have cracked the case by now.
Investigators would have offerred a reduced sentence to anyone that would testify who the real killer was. Aruba police are a bunch of amateurs.
I hope Aruba police dont screw this up.
Down with Aruba!!!!!

There's no point in attacking the people of Aruba; they have about as much control over their government as we do ours.
If voting really changed anything, it'd be illegal.
Posted by: Cindy | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 05:22 AM
Its not about the crime that happened, of course that can happen anywhere!! The fact of the matter is the Aruba government is covering it up. Did you know that Joran boy had a website about gangs and gang raping? I bet you didn't. He's a spoiled brat and thinks he should be able to have whatever he wants. Take heed parents, don't spoil your kids or they'll grow up and break your heart. Since the government wants to jail innocent people and not get to the root of the crime, let them sit without any tourist for a while and maybe they'll have a change of heart. And yes America does have crime but we are good at finding out what happened and we don't live on tourism money, sorry. I am going to follow suit with the people of WWW.TOHELLWITHARUBA.COM they seem to get the picture too.

THE FBI ARE THERE BUT THE ARUBAN AUTHORITIES ARE ONLY ALLOWING THEM TO OBSERVE AND NOT TAKE PART OF THE INVESTIGATION

I feel Aruba police are not doing a good enough job to find this girl and If they would let the FBI do more we would have more answers than what we have now. I also feel that the people there has to understand the us people concerns. If this would have happend in the US we would have already have had answers.

Peace, I just read you tearing into some girl who made off hand comment about Hip hop / Gangster culture coming from a "Black Background"
I'm always amazed by people who let their politically correct views shape the world for them. In fact the "gangster affect" did start within black culture (primarily new york) then spread to the west coast via hip hop. As that primarily inner city music became wide spread the lifestyle it represented also spread.
Why does this offend you so? It's a fact, simply quoting facts and statistics shouldn't make you a racist, or as you so eloquently put it "Racist Bitch".
There are other facts, like the black community make up 23% of the population but in many states this population makes up 43% of the convicted criminals. Does knowing this statistic also make me a "racist bitch"?
Take off your blinders. just because people like you refuse to acknowledge truth doesn't make it any less true.
Oh by the way, putting up a fake Email address with your post is tipical of weak minded people who can't defend their views. Just what I would have expected from someone posting venom like yours.

Hey melanie and charlie, how can u know they r not doing their good enough job to solve this? You there with them to see it? You there to see that the FBI cant do much? Aruban laws are different and they dont need to inform the public every 10 minutes.
I dont live in the us, but do you pretend to say the ALL missing people cases in the us get solved? Just asking......

To all the ignorant Americans who want to boycott Aruba.
You look down to anything or anyone who isn’t part of your little world. When the news got out that Natalee is missing in Aruba, The first thing they said was "They Brought the FBI With them, to find The missing girl, and they are doing everything they can, to find her" and now that nothing has come up They say, Its the Aruban officials who aren’t doing their job right. And I’m sure that if there will be any crack in the case, you'll all say that the FBI found it. If you’re not happy with the search, come to Aruba and search for her your selves. You all speak as if you know what’s going on, you're not part of the investigation and you don't have the inside scoop.
All you hear are the crap, people say about us, and unfortunately you believe them too.
Even CNN is wrong, Jorans dad isn’t a judge! You get all the information out wrong. Not everything you hear is the truth.
Boycotting Aruba won't change anything, nor make anything right. Tell me why would you boycott Aruba? The only reason you have is, you're angry and you want to make us pay somehow, for something "we" (all the other innocent Arubans who didn’t have anything to do with it) have no control of.
I know there are amazing people in US, and i have many friends and family who are Americans. But reading all you people wrote let me realize,
How inconsiderate and closed minded some Americans can be.
When i first heard that the girl was missing i didn’t think of the tourism at all, all i was thinking was how horrible it was for the girl and her family, but then heard of all the horrible things Americans were thinking of us Arubans, and i got worried, I actually cared what you were thinking of us because i really liked America and the people there. But slowly my concern and understanding dropped down, and i couldn’t believe how ignorant some of you can be, but of course not all Americans, i still love the people there and i still love America but some people can really be jerks.
If you want to boycott Aruba, go right ahead... good luck with it, and thanks

We dont care for Mr Matthew or what ever the hell his name is.... This has Nothing to do with that. No i will not Boycott Aruba, It wont change anything. It has no point, WHat happend to Natalee is a tragedy and i wan them to crack the case and punish the one who did it.But we still dont know who did, you think Joran did it, but u dont know, Calling him "joran van der puke, Van der slut... How mature.
Its real easy to just sit there complain and Accuse people that might be innocent.
You all think you're so smart, if you think you know the answers fly to aruba right now and solve the case! you dont know whats happend there, the other people there cant help it that they cant find her! so stop making stupid remarks and saying you'll boycott them, damn you guys are assholes.

My, my, my. It it interesting that so many people are so passionate about one person dying in Aruba. Maybe she should have died in the United States so everyone could feel better about it. I think Aruba will suffer enough without an organized boycot. And like somebody else said, do you people actually think the whole island ganged up and decided to kill this girl? NO Some individuals decided to kill her and now everyone is suffering. Hell last week everyone was hating on the black security guards till more news came out. I'd honestly like so see how the story would be different if the girl was black, asian or hispanic. I think Americans get very bent out of shape when they can not control a situation.

Yes, Yes, it is really incredible, how some Americans can react! I feel sorry for those Americans who still have a little bit commense and have to live with people like these (Mississipi thoughts, Jake Surfer, Robert, Jimmy, Chris Malone, etc)in the same country. Because the country where the most fucked up people or retards live is the United States of Fucking America! So short minded, egoistic and worse of all, they think that they are the best in everything! HAHAHA!
Please do me a favor and first solve all your own fucking problems back home, because it aint that great in the States at the moment. But if you want a pissing contest, fine with me, I hope you have some time because I can write multiple books about American failures regarding Justice, police investigations or horrible crimes.
Ok this was for those people with no common sense
Now for people with common sense:
I deeply regret it if something wrong has happened to Natalee, but I still have hopes she might be alive. I always believed in Justice and also do now. If these boys did something wrong the will definetely pay for it. I am 100% sure about it, only we can't judge them before we know the facts or before there is proof of it. True that the investigation is taking so long but maybe there is a reason for it. I mean how many crimes have been unsolved (especially in the States!!!)It better takes a lot of time with at the end the truth, than a fast judgement that after a while seemed incorrect!
But stop blame people that have nothing to do with it, that is so easy, weak and childish. but if that is the best you people can do I feel very sorry for you guys. And please continue boycotting Aruba, you will only dig a bigger grave for yourselves instead of for us. You guys really think we only depend on the US! You see short minded!
To the Holloway family: All the best and luck in the world and I still have hopes for a good ending!

I have a problem with the people who are throwing insults back to the US. The United States doesn’t advertise to the world how safe a place it is to live in. Evidently it doesn’t have to because people are fighting to get in every day. Aruba does promote their island as a safe place to vacation, therefore giving everyone a false sence of security. As far as not blaming the entire island, the police and island officials control the activities on that island. There is no excuse, just because they only have one or two homocides a year, for them not being up to date on all investigative procedures.
Posted by: Jake Surfer | Monday, June 20, 2005 at 10:09 PM
Jake, ever been in Aruba?
I am not even Aruban my self, but live here for like six years, to my opinion it is the safest I have ever been. I don't have to can walk alone every were I want at any time. That sounds not safe to you. There isn't a country that is 100% safe, but Aruba is in the top of the most safest countries. So now 1 incident changes all that?
Everywere there are people who try to fuck up things even in Aruba, I will never deny that.
But you guys have get for 1 time fucking reasonable!
Who says something happened on purpose to Natalee? might be an accident, never occured to you? Try to think a little bit deeper and use some common sense!

Yeah, most of you shouldn't even talk if you haven't been to Aruba. I've been there six times and it's a very safe place. The people are extremely friendly. As for the Aruban government, let them do their job. Would we ever allow another country's government to take over a criminal investigation here? NO WAY!!!

you american people are SICK!!!. one girl's missing in aruba, and such a nightmare you have to create for aruba. you people are jelous, because you cannot take it when the economy of another country/ island is increasing. begin to look at HOW MANY people are missing in alabama, etc. so, start minding your own business and stop messing up with others people live. because you guys are creating only problems for the world. not you only exist in this world. and power is not the answer. what about the twin tower. did iraqi people did it or was it a setup from BUSH???.

All you people are going off in all directions. People of Aruba have every right to defend their honor and their land. It is a beautiful place and the people are wonderful. They go out of their way to treat us like kings and queens when we "tourists" visit. One bad incedent does not give anybody merit to trash Aruba! If that were the case the USA would have been trashed long ago. I'm a proud American (born and raised) but I'm embarrassed by the way we carry on about being "the greatest country in the world". That's a load of shit - that's like somebody visiting your home and telling you that you live in a scum hole and your home is a peice of shit! We have balls bigger than the moon for all the smack that this country talks. I'm ashamed - as far as the so called "gangsta" lifestyle is concerned, it's also embarrassing! It's a blight on humanity to consider ones self a "pimp" or "gangsta". There are way too many wannabe "pimps" and "gansta" punk ass kids trolling around the suburban USA that need a huge foot in the ass! Their parents should not have been allowed to procreate. These punks and the media that hypes all of their indecent behavior should be banished. There's more illegal crap that gets covered up in this country than anyone realizes. So leave Aruba alone and worry about your own punk asses and learn how to "respect" your fellow humans. That in itself is where the problems of todays youth lies - "LACK OF RESPECT" and integrity. So shut your mouthes and hope that the truth comes to fruition with this case. The answers will come.

Anna .. lets be serious do think Americans even know about Arubas economy. They dont know or care if its on the rise. There is no jelousy there at all. Americans, unfortunaly, tend to be very centered on their own country when it comes to world affairs and know little or nothing about the economy or goverments of other countries.

I copied the following off the Department of State's Web site. This place is a threat to the whole world. I believe Natalee Holloway has become a victim of illegal drugs.
Aruba. Aruba is a transshipment point for increasing quantities of heroin, and to a lesser extent cocaine, moving north, mainly from Colombia, to the U.S. and secondarily to Europe. Drugs move north via cruise ships and the multiple daily flights to the U.S. and Europe. While the transshipment of heroin is of growing concern, evidence in 2004 did not support a finding that drugs entering the U.S. from Aruba were in an amount sufficient to have a significant effect on the U.S., but the eastern and southern Caribbean is an area of concern to the U.S. The island attracts drug traffickers with its good infrastructure, excellent flight connections, and relatively light sentences for drug-related crimes served in prisons with relatively good living conditions. This problem is further promulgated by the Netherlands Antilles’ law enforcement successes in Curacao during 2004, which necessitated a change in route on the part of the traffickers in the region.

For all the problems going on in the US and for all the missing people in the US, i think too big of a fuss is being made about one american being lost in Aruba. First of all, Natalee made the choices she made, she chose to drink, maybe get high, and to leave the club with three people she didn't even know. Where were the chaperones and her friends? I went on a senior trip, and we never left a single place without counting heads, and i know that i would have never let my friend leave with a stranger, and that my friend would never have let me go anywhere with someone we didn't know. Secondly, we don't even know what happened yet, instead of pointing fingers, let's be patient and wait, see where the truth really lies, for all we know, she could have run away and planned all of this on her own. Because there is no proof and no evidence, the horizons are open to anything, only she knows what happened to her right now as far as we're concerned. And because there is no proof or evidence no accusations can be made, only hypothesis--like someone already mentioned, instead of finding the wrong truth in a hurry, wait for the correct truth when it shows up. The Aruban people are making as large an effort as they can to find her, and yes, there is a difference between a small time country like Aruba and homicide, where it almost never occurs, and the US, where people are killed on a daily basis by Americans in the US and outside of the US. And even then, with all the "technologies" and "investigative procedures" that the US has, and with the FBI, there are hundreds of cases left unsolved, and only those cases which are media material get presented and get so much attention. Would this case have gained so much attention if Natalee was of a lower class, and let's say maybe, hispanic, latin, or african-american; or if her father didn't have close ties to the President? How fair is justice in the US, how fair is life in the US? You mean to tell me that the US is racism and prejudice free-all this talk about Arubans is enough to show otherwise; even the choices of what gets on the news and what people talk about proves otherwise. Too much focus is being put on Aruba as an island instead of what is actually happening here. What would Americans gain if they boycotted Aruba? A decline in Aruban economy, great, what next? Boycotting Aruba won't solve the problem, if all these people care so much about her and what is happening to her why not fly to Aruba and help look for her instead of sitting around and complaining about a government who's not doing enough when they're really doing everything thats in their hands to solve the case. The reason people keep flying to the US regardless of the crime rate is because they trust Americans, and they don't judge Americans based on the minority--exactly the opposite of what is happening here. Let's all boycott the US because they're killing innocent people all over the world, yes, not all Americans agree with what is going on in Iraq, and yes, American soldiers are dying in Iraq too, but its the same case in Aruba, not all Arubans killed/lost Natalee, so you can't blame them all--heck, do we even know if Natalee is dead yet, no body has been found. The point is we're not going to gain anything by going on like this about each others respective countries, every country has its pro's and cons; if we were to weigh the balance i think it would be very clear which country would win on the cons side; everyone should focus on the problems going on in their own backyard before they focus on whats happening around the world. Let's all pray that Natalee will be found, that this case will be solved, and that nothing like this happens again to any innocent girl. But for all girls going on vacation, please, have some common sense, don't go anywhere without at least one person you know who can punch some sense in to you when you decide to go somewhere with someone you don't know. It's a hectic world, and this could have happened to Natalee, or to any other girl anywhere, not only in Aruba. Even then, Aruba is very safe compared to other islands and countries in the world, we just don't hear about all those other cases...i wonder why :S. PS...i'd like to see a website made to honor every death, homocide, kidnap etc that goes on in the US on a daily basis, oh and a let's boycott the US or make a tohellwiththeUS.com website again for the same reason...come on, you can't blame a people or a country for the mistakes of 1 or 2 people, if we did that there would be too much hate in the world. And YES, innocent until proven guilty, isn't it better than blaming someone innocent for something they didn't do...for example all the blacks who are jailed because when a woman got raped or assaulted that's the description she gave (clear prejudice)...how many of those men have been released recently proving that there's flaws in the american justice system. Or what about guilty people who were released because they didn't fit the expectations of a criminal in the jury's eyes...all things that go on all the time in the US...again, back to the balance...put yourself in their position, what if you were innocent, and because you were the last person seen with "insert name here", you got the blame...how would you feel? The best thing to do right now is just wait and see, after the whole truth is out (not all the misunderstandings and lies that are presented on American news) let's judge and make decisions and choices. I've been following this case since day one, and the same news anchor changed its story every few days...wow...get the story straight and then present it to the world, please--small mistakes can make a huge difference, they can be the difference between a fairy tale and the truth. In the end everyone is the same, but if we're not going to do anything to help in the case, let's not do anything to make it worst.

America
A country still fresh out of WWII and the Cold War, Full of pride from its two victory's. America isnt the leading country in the world, Its just full of hot air. Where did this hot air come from?
A belated victory in WWII. To see why america is so fucking messed up we have to go back in history and look at the point in which America made its rise to the so called top. WWII was raging across Europe when Japan bomb's America near the end of the war. This cause's the not so much thought of Americans to rally together with some so called pride and fight Japan. For the longest time America was LOSING this war. If it wasn't for damn luck they would have lost. Now we must all face up to the fact that WWII in a nutshell was a war between Germany and Russia. It was no American war and never will be. America came into WWII within its last few months and suffered great losses where other countrys who had been in it longer hadn't even suffered that many that quickly. The Americans didn't even make it to Hitler first.
So now we have this American swell of pride because the war is over thanks to the Russians who are now the Americans only true enemy, As the Americans saw it. Europe being weakened didn't have much choice but to claim America as bettert because at the time it was in a snese better prepared. But then after the Americans charmed the Europeans into depth they started the cold war. This led to basically a long stand-off on both side's and had USSR been better prepared and had the technology we have today they probaly wouldn't have died. The USSR failed because it came before it hadf a chance to succeed. With new thought it's central core could have been improved. That's to late now though, America now having not really crushed the USSR but watched it crumble from a distance could claim victory. This once more shot up their pride and once more made the still weak Europe look at them like the almighty. What does this remind us of from past countrys or those that still exsist yet in the past?
Maybe you all recall Britian. For a time it enjoyed the title as top dog because it had a strong military and what event other that allowed them to gain power? The industrial revolution while the rest of Europe fought. It wasn't the money that made them great though, It was a weakened Europe. History repeats itself. What happened to the British? They got full of themselves, Look at Americans. Can the same not be said?
In All The U.S. is enjoying a time period where all others are either to weak or not willing to challenge them. It is a passing fad and what do you think the president is doing now? America wants war now because they want to look good and strong still. They want to break the backbone of other nations so that they can enjoy an extanded stay at the top. But eventually it will fall. Europe has Hundreds of years on America and I think it shows.
---------
Now on to the missing girl.Rich girl gets lost on Aruba, Her family pays the government and they make a big deal out of it. Bring the FBI who have no buisness down here to Aruba and then demand we find the girl. We search our asses off and then after a week when hope is falling we have the island combed. The fact that we are facing now is that this island is to damn small for her body to still be hidden. Do people seriously think this was planned? Let's look at this with an intelligent eye.
A girl is recently 18, Party happy and it shows, Goes to Carlos and charlies, A great place, and gets drunk or high. If she did drugs then it was her choice. Then she goes with three guys from the club. If she was popular then she would have plenty of friends and im shure on of them has enough sense to stop her, but none did. Then she disapears. Anyone who thinks she was drugged up against her free will should re-think their stance. When under the effects of a drug you have enough cohernece to resist even if it is abit fuddled, Chances are hert captors where high on something as well. So you have a bunch of people who are fucked up on drugs. Now while driving somewhere aperently they had enough sense in their druged up haze to get to something and have more drugs. Here is where if something happened it did, Maybe they had sex and then had more drugs and such. But at some point she most likely OD'd and died. The boys would logically go into "O Shit" mode and throw the body where ever they could find a place. They arnt going to go to indepth because they don't have the brains at the moment. Next morning the group flys back home and report when in Alabama that their friend is missing. What happened to being popular? She must have had friends who would have waited for her at the hotel.
The whole above dialog is proven wrong because we have combed this island up and down. Unless she is buried on private property in someones yard then she is on land or off the island.
The idea that they threw her into the water is unprobable. The chance that they had any form of solid casing to dispose of her in then she would have been found a chew up chunk, or at least a body part would have. She wouldn't be noticable though. A chewed up corpse and none of those have been found.
The chance that she ran off on her own. This one is currently the most accepted one. We don't think she is dead or if she is dead then she is in some other country.
I am going to have to wrap this up for now but I am willing to talk to anyone on the subject, Also I do not want to hear from those who don't have anything intelligent to say. If you want to be a simple minded fool then go right ahead and be blocked.

James,
You're the kind of punk I described yesterday - your parents should have been neutered so they would not have been able to produce a spinless sperm like yourself. If you had not been born too early, you (as an embryo), would have had the proper amount of time to grow a brain. Stop embarrassing humanity and crawl back into your "yo bitch" hole and sleep for an extremely long time! In other words, stop wasting our air!
"Every one Is the Same",
Thank you for your insight and wisdom - we are no better than any one else on this planet. It's just that some of us (james) have watched too much "yo MTV raps".
If something bad happened to Natalee she did not deserve that fate. But, she did make some extremly dopey choices - which goes to show that good grades on a report card do not make you a smart person - people need common sense just as much as a diploma. Please people - use your heads.

Thank you for your understanding
You're not part of the ignorant, arrogant, closed minded groups of people i've seen on this webpage

America is a good country and so is Aruba. One tragic situtation happens and we see people trashing one another's countries. It's really immature. Let's focus on the fact, of which there are few.
There's a missing girl and four suspects. That's all the information we have other than some video clips that have been aired about the parents. We can't count on eye witnesses aired on American TV because people won't tell the whole truth. We just have to wait and hope that we find the truth and hopefully Natalee will be found.
Blessings to both countries and everyone on this list. Be well.
We are but ONE world... let's unite.

lets face it....Until now, my hats off to Aruba...I feel they really have a consistent job of keeping this to be a low crime island nation. after all, people dont go there to read books or stare at the inside of their hotel room. I personally can name a hundred cities ive been to in the US(yes i do live here) that fights or drunken fools have just been asking for trouble....fact of life here kids is that there are many walks of life and many many shades of people...some more deceitful than the rest...trouble is EVERYWHERE!!!! we cannot blame the entire island for this....it does have a relatively low crime rate considering people typically go there to blow off steam and have the time of their life...it shouldnt end there however...their life that is...
However i do strongly feel that the Aruban investigators are way in over their heads...come on now....how many times has this tough guy's story changed? How in the hell do you "tell the wrong story" and that "oh yeah, the older brother picked me up, not the younger brother" WHAT THE??????? come on dude--that aint flying....
Sadly, America is a much more crime oriented place than this, weve all seen it...heard about it...but---but---we also have many highly qualified investigaotrs that have more experience, expertise and methods for solvings sickening investigations like this....why are they being "left " on the sidelines...its like the Aruban officials are trying to handle it on their own and deep down i think the residents of the island truly beleive thy cannot solve this within their means....we have 400,000 professionals on the force in the US that deal and investigate and navigate their way thru mysteries like this...please give Natalie a chance to be found....Hey Aruba! Ask for more help....give her family some details and let them sleep at night....
I try to maintain that innocent until proven guilty notion...but in all honesty---it is increibly hard to do when guilt is has won the stare down with these knuckleheads who cannot get ir story straight.....
by the way....i would be curious to see it--anyone know where his website everyone keeps talking about?

i heard that the girl took a two million life insurance not so long ago.
what is going on here ??????????????????????????.
if that's true, than the girl is still alive and this whole thing is a set-up. maybe she have another id, and left aruba already. no wonder nobody cannot find her or her body. strange, because aruba is so little.

Why do we have to be so negative? Natalie will be found there is still hope. I don't think it is Arubas fault this kind of thing happens all over the world. Although she was drinking and may have done some drugs willingly she is a teenager and trusted the guys she was with. This doesn't mean these men killed her-innocent until proven guilty. I think we need to be more positive and not blame everything on Aruba or on Natalie. She was on vacation and thought everything would be safe and fun. We need to pray and hope that God will bring her back. My prayers are with her whole family. I'M sure she is scared wherever she is and hopes everybody won't give up on the search. I hope investigaters are looking in South America and all the other Islands by there. My hopes and prayers are with you Natalie!!!!

What I want everyone to remember is that the girls 'so-called' friends left her and she made the 'possible' mistake of getting into a car with three boys she did not know. And yes I have heard the rumour's that she was in touch with the Dutch guy for over a yr via e-mail but still common sense proves that you never truly know someone from talking on-line. THIS is a FACT of the Internet system. You can pretend to be someone you are not, she and her friends should have known better. Why does everyone forget also about the chaperone's?? WAS IT NOT their job to look after these young girls and boys????
SO thinking about these points also it is in reflect that you should quit trying to blame others for the mistakes of yourselves.
I am NOT a resident of Aruba and have recently returned from a 3 wk holiday there. During this time I have personally seen how the local people are concerned and distressed over this young girl who is missing and they are continuing trying to find her.
I would also like to reflect on the way young American teenagers act when in Aruba. Now I am from the UK and thought that I had seen it all but boy I was wrong. The young Americans that I met who were aged from 16 to 35 were mostly very disrespectful of their peers, drank very irresponsibly and had no respect for their hosts. I also had the pleasure of going to a lot of local clubs where their are a lot of local people and found everyone a fantastic host. However when we ventured to the more touristy clubs where the locals and tourists mix there was a very different atmosphere. Most of the tourists are American, in fact 95% that I met were American and I can assure you it was shocking to see the way these young girls behaved. I truly hope that the Natalie Holloway is found alive and well.
I can assure everyone that I felt nothing but safe on that pleasant little Island and if I could have I would have stayed for ever!

I think that all other countries should boycott America as it is one of the most dangerous places to visit and if anything happened to a vistor I could not see the American government giving their employees a day of work to look for them. I applaud the Aruban government for doing this and the Aruban people for giving their time looking. I hope the young girl is found alive and well. I WILL be back to Aruba soon you are all lovely people. I agree with above comments on
conduct of these college kids it does nothing to show how they were learned basic manners at home
