Natalee Holloway Update: 4:06 PM EST

Government officials in Aruba are on the radio condemming Fox News for their reporting and requesting all journalists to cooperate with authorities and not report rumors. The Justice Minister is denying having told any American reporter that Natalee Holloway is dead.

They also insist that they do not know of a body being recovered at this time.

Conflicting information, denials etc, by the Aruban Government or other officials does not and will not help. I believe that FOX reporters do not make up stories, the information is coming from officials and that is the problem. It appears like the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing...

I also lived on the island for 2 1/2 years, great place for a holiday but to work and do business with the government departments is near impossible. The corruption is not as bad as it was but still very much present. I had a car stolen, on this island, 19 miles by 6 miles, the police couldn't find it. It was found by an employee outside a house in San Nic. THe police will not or cannot help you very much.. Having said that, most of the people, Dutch and Aruban are good people, I have many friends there and I will return often..

I have never been to Aruba but based on the information read here and in other sources it seens like this people need to organize themselves better and cooperate with each other. It also seens like they are afraid of making matter worse and are trying to cover the truth thinking that by posponing it, it will help them look better somehow when in fact it only is making them look worse.

My brother in law will get marry next Saturday and will be honeymooning there. With all that scandal going on there and the lack of help from the authoroties and goverment (no matter what they say this is obvious) I wish they would not go there and change their honeymoon to another place.

My heart goes out to the parents of Natalee which I saw last night speaking with Geraldo Rivera before and after he spoke with the Prime Minister of Aruba. The Holloway's seen to have the same opinions I got about him and this whole situation. Mrs. Holloway thinks that they only are delaying the truth because she won't be able to handle it and even tought nobody ever can prepare for something like this she has to have the truth no matter how awful it may be. Her husband said on the air that she is a strong woman.

I lived on the island of Aruba for some 12 years, graduated from high school there, left to attend college, and employment in the U.S. The island is beautiful and safe, in comparison to any large, small, or mid-size town in America. These stories of crime and inefficiency of a foreign government are appalling, to say the least. I feel that the media, in particular, Fox news has totally overblown this case. I see no justification in criticizing what the government has done so far. They have gone above and beyond, in my opinion, what a typical law enforcement or government agency might do in the U.S. You can be certain we would not go to such lengths for a missing Aruban. There is obviously not enough evidence to charge anyone with a crime, as the Aruba officials have stated. Until and unless such evidence and/or confessions appear, the law is the law, wherever you may reside. Let's back off in the accusations and criticisms and let the investigation proceed. It is far better to be thorough and persistent than to rush to judgement.

Having visited Aruba, I found the Island to be crime and drug ridden, as a matter of fact I commuted to Torreon Mexico and their drug problem is only half of Aruba This is a formal complaint to your office that this island survives overwhelming on US tourist business. We are in support of the family of Natalee and they have not done a good job to find Natalee Holloway, who vanished May 30 on a graduation trip with her high school class.

Your governments actions in releasing the 2 suspects and letting the father of the other one "go free" reminds me of a "banana republic" we as Americans must stick together and let the Aruba's know that we will not support that kind of behavior and therefore are canceling our vacation this year and will let everybody know that you have a corrupt government when a judge as a father tell his son to cover up a crime, WHY IS HE STILL AN EMPLOYEE OF YOUR GOVERNMENT?

I am asking ALL us Senators to contact the appropriate people to let our concerns be known including our local press.

I hope those boys and family members have something tragic happen to them. I was told Aruba is a nice place to vacation. After hearing what the locals can do and get away with it I will never vacation there. A young ladies life is gone and nobody is responsible? Can you say coverup. What comes around goes around. KARMA will find you. I hope the Arubian government crashes hard with people researching this tragedy and never going to vacation at such an awful place.
