Just received a call from Fox and have a few things to nail down before their car arrives. Sorry, I'm going to have to beg off on that next post until tonight, or tomorrow AM.
First - this incident is a terrible tragedy, and neither I nor anyone else should get so caught up in the facts and the pursuit of them that we forget that most likely a precious human being has met with a tragic fate and been deprived of an entire future she will never know. Also, a family has been damaged by recent events in a manner from which they will never fully recover.
An entire community in Alabama, as well as some particular members have had both Natalee, as well as a certain sense of innocence taken from them through recent events.
And in Aruba, because I have spoken with some, I know they and a great many other people fret and hope, not first for tourism, but for Natalee Holloway and the best possible resolution of this case on behalf of Natalee and her family.
In fact, there are two if not more families in Aruba now suffering from this ordeal, as well. And even if justice does prove this or that family member somehow guilty, that should not condemn the whole, or diminish their right to respect and human kindness.
Aside from answers, which it is the natural human condition to desire, noone should seek anything more or less than the best possible resolution, as stated above.

Just heard on Fox. They think she might be alive and traveling with another girl and several guys to either Columbia or Venezuela.

Akeko - TxLady
Could someone translate what he said, I was having a hard time understanding him. Did he say they are following someone right now, right this minute? I heard something about a car, with two females and a male, Colombia and Venezuela....
Posted by: Florida Girl | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:12 PM
Yes Allison that's it.
Posted by: Florida Girl | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:12 PM

Posted by: Allison | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:13 PM
That's where I'm getting the news. Also, her mom will be on at 10:00 on Fox tonight. I'm holding out hope that she's still alive.

Did anyone get more information on what Hubart with Diario was saying... I turned the show on at the end fo his interview... I thought the anchor would continue talking to him about it, what is the deal with that? Please post what he said in general if you can... where did he get that info, etc.
Posted by: Angie | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:13 PM
Yes He did he say they are following someone right now, right this minute? a car, with two females and 3 males, one a known drug dealer from Colombia or Venezuela....
They had planned to take NH to Col but that didn't work so now plan is to go to Ven first.
I just replayed it to get it right.
Posted by: AkekoaHoAlethia | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:15 PM
Hubert Teal of Diario said the the intent was to take her to Colombia -- but they meay be in Venezuelaon their way. He said something about 2 women and 3 men, if I recall correctly.
Posted by: momof4inal | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:15 PM
From what I got he said she is still alive and being taken to Venz, the people who have her have had to change plans because of the media attention, but were still being followed. He even said that her parents haven't been imformed yet. Did anyone get the decapitated man's name? Isn't that type of killing called a Columbian necklace...trademark of the Columbian drug cartels?
Posted by: littletxlady | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:16 PM
ITS ON THE BIG STORY ON FOX NEWS CHANNEL (CABLE) RIGHT NOW. DAN WILL BE ON IN A FEW.
WATCH IT. ALSO, HEARD THE INTERVIEW ABOUT HER BEING TAKEN FROM THE ISLAND.
I HAVE FELT THIS ALL ALONG.
Hey..I am sorry about the caps. Got started and did not realize it was on. Forgive me?? :O)
Posted by: Mary | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:16 PM
Who had planned to take NH to Col? The three boys know something and were seen with her last.....
Did one of them start talking?
Posted by: Allison | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:17 PM
Teal Hubart said, "very definitely" when asked if he thought NH was alive. It sounded like he thought she was one of the females in the car!
Posted by: AkekoaHoAlethia | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:18 PM
Wow, this is so encouraging. But I wouldn't doubt that the decapitated man plays a piece in this puzzle.
Posted by: Shari | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:18 PM
Boy, if NH plays a "missing bride" of us, there are so many people that should eat their tongues ...
Posted by: Ari | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:18 PM
Did he say that Natalee is one of the girls in the car right now? I heard that part about not informing the parents.
OMG!!! Can it be???? If this is true, then why did the female anchor on Fox let him go, he was still trying to talk.....??
Posted by: Florida Girl | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:19 PM
I don't know why they cut him off. Maybe he was giving out too much information that would put her at harm.
Posted by: Shari | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:20 PM
Ahhhhrrrgh! I don't have cable! Help me?!! Is this for real? Natalee ALIVE?
Posted by: New Creature | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:20 PM
What is going on? Why are'nt they staying with Hubart??? I don't get it????
Posted by: bamagirl | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:20 PM
anyone remember that other white missing girl from the cruise ship that disappeared a few years back? She was white, right?? and let me see....i don't think I heard about her missing until a few weeks ago....but she was white, right?
Posted by: fly | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:20 PM
??? All I see is them talking about searching the home of the suspect....I have not heard anything aboutt he car yet?
Posted by: Allison | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:20 PM
I got the impression that the anchor wasn't so sure this was accurate information, therefore cut off the interview. My take on it.
Posted by: S. Bastion | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:20 PM
What does the decapitated man have to do with the disappearance of NH?
Posted by: Lou | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:20 PM
Fox certainly didn't give it very much attention...
I heard her ask him what condition Natalee might be in, if in fact she was in the car. Did anyone hear what he replied to that?
Posted by: Florida Girl | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:21 PM
I felt she was alive all along. I origianlly said she may have been thrown into a prostitution ring or traded for drugs. You couldn't beleive the crazy responses I was getting for saying that. Yes, I believe she is still alive.
Posted by: Shari | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:21 PM
Teal Hubart started by saying "my information is that they have moved" (from where they had her originally). He said the newspaper has been conducting its own investigation to have a good ending to the story.
Posted by: AkekoaHoAlethia | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:22 PM
Personally, I thnk they're keeping her drugged up.
Posted by: Shari | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:22 PM
Maybe they cut him off because 1) he was giving out to much info, like Shari said; and 2) the family had not been informed yet... could be another case like when CNN reported that a confession had been made and they were going to the crime scene... the family saw it on the news and went. Maybe wanting to confirm the story.
Posted by: Angie | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:23 PM
TURN FOX ON RIGHT NOW. 9:00 PM FOX "NEWS" CHANNEL
DAN IS GOING TO BE ON TV.
Posted by: Mary | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:24 PM
Yes, she was. That happened back in 98 and she has supposedly been seen twice since then.
Posted by: Allison | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:24 PM
What a mystery!! Can you imagine what is going on right now, someone being followed, and why would he do that without the police...this could be very dangerous, if she is being taken against her will.
Evidentially the show must go on... Ok..she is talking about it again with Natalee's aunt. But I certainly wish they would have stayed with him.
Posted by: Florida Girl | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:26 PM
The other white girl missing is Amy Bradley. There is a website that gives a lot of info
Posted by: NM | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:28 PM
Hubart didnot answer the question about NH condition. He only said "VERY DEFINITELY ALIVE"
Posted by: AkekoaHoAlethia | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:28 PM
Well, to be fair she's cutting evyeryone off. She just cut off the Aunt, how rude is that.
Posted by: Jay | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:29 PM
I heard where he said he was certain to have a good ending to the story.
Question - how would he know they were planning to take her to Colombia, then changed plans and now possibly Venezuela?
That is if this is indeed accurate information.
Posted by: Florida Girl | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:29 PM
Is it over???
Posted by: Allison | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:30 PM
So she is a white girl missing in the same area, but she wasn't really mentioned until now, and nobody is really paying attention to her story. Could it be then, this isn't about the "race card"?
Posted by: fly | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:31 PM
Fly -
The Amy Bradley case is from 1998, and it has been mentioned numerous times on MSM thoughout the last couple of weeks. I even saw an interview with her family.
Posted by: Florida Girl | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:32 PM
I know I'm speculating....BUT, if the beheading is related, and this is all about the "drug cartel", etc, maybe Joran was a victim as well. Couldn't speak because his family's life was threatened? MERE SPECULATION? I just doubt that little guy is a big wheeler? Know what i mean?
Posted by: New Creature | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:33 PM
I agree with the post earlier that said this wasn't about her being white, it was about her being a pretty girl missing in paradise.
Posted by: harmony | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:34 PM
The Amy Bradley story was very big...just not as big now since it was 7 years ago. Like NM said, there is a website with tons of info. The Bradley family still has faith and has many stories and publicity.
Posted by: Allison | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:35 PM
exactly, florida girl. I don't remember anything about amy bradly until a few weeks ago. I just get tired of people saying we are only interested in natalee holloway because she white. if that's the case why wasn't amy bradly all over the news back in '98?
Posted by: fly | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:36 PM
Joran was involved to some point....I have no doubt about that. He knows something.
Posted by: Allison | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:37 PM
SATURDAY....NOW....TURN FOX ON RIGHT NOW. 9:00 PM FOX "NEWS" CHANNEL
DAN IS GOING TO BE ON TV.
Posted by: Mary | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:38 PM
I hope she is found to be in that car alive, and this isn't like the "confession" of last week.
Posted by: harmony | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:38 PM
The Bradley story was huge. It has even been on America's Most Wanted, Dateline and all the others.
Posted by: Allison | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:38 PM
What joke is this? a car from aruba to colombia. Only the cubans' carboats.
The media is getting crazy.
Posted by: loco | Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 09:39 PM
Fly - I agree. Certainly, none of us will never forget the name Natalee Holloway, or the circumstances of the case, ever... which is in great contrast the the Amy story, which I can't recall ever hearing about either until the last couple of weeks.
