... In yesterday’s interview Paul van der Sloot said that he did not instruct the young suspects not to talk, but explained the judicial procedure to them ... Paul van der Sloot told the boys a few days after the disappearance of Natalee (not to worry because) there is no crime without a body and consequently there will be no case.
... Janssen is certain that this has affected the investigation drastically and caused the suspects to keep their mouths sealed

I'm not really sure about this but didn't the Kalpoe's mother say she was not allowed to see her sons?? If so, I wonder why!! And now I hear that pvds is allowed to see jvds. what is going on here?

Joran is considered a minor.
Depak and Satish are considered adults.
That is why the father can visit.

Paul VDS should realize his statements could come back to haunt him soon

MOSCOW GIRL
Hopefully, "Insulted and Proud Americans" will take your advise and indeed keep their tourist dollars in their pocket. AH......but then, we would have to come to the aid of your financially failing economies!

RE:
"Transporting a body, whatever the means, would have left tons of forensic evidence. I believe Toronto has a better theory.

"...The poor in Aruba can't talk. TORONTO you got it, unless they trust you implicitly they will not speak for fear of apprehension... ...Posted by: posters | June 29, 2005 11:24 PM"
***Who is "Toronto" and what is the theory? I am very interested to know but can't find any mention of the "toronto theory" ... can someone help me please?
Thank you.

The parents of all three kids are being allowed to visit now. And Mama Slut claimed she could not talk to her son in private.. now all of a sudden this isn't this case.. Daddy Slut says he is talking to his son in private so he can keep giving him legal advice.

maybe we should get an ad campaign started, not to go to Aruba.
It could say, "No body, No crime" Only in Aruba!

If you're going to buy a house and your dad is in real estate...wouldn't you think he'd advise you a little? I think every little bit of advise he might have given them can (too) easily be explained as him saying "No body, no crime" by any party looking for a conviction. In effect, this isn't far besides the truth anyway. As frustrating as it might seem...

I keep reading about how eventually conscience pains will cause the VDS to 'fess up or fell remorse. Well, as they are avowed atheists, just what would compell them to tell the truth other than the threat of death or sure punishment? The Mother is key - She knows what her son did, and though she has no moral compass either, but she could be broken much more easily than the dad or his rotten son.
Folks, we are dealing w/amorality here. Do not expect anything from the accused or his family other than continued lies.

I'm an atheist too. So now I have no moral compass? How about common sense for a moral compass? The same common sense that turns a sane person into an atheist in the first place...but that's another discussion.
Posted by: Pas | Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 11:50 AM
Common sense as an "amoral" compass? To that I would agree. What compells you to do the right thing, as an atheist? Fear for yourself? Pragmatism?..it is all self-serving.
Posted by: thinkaboutit | Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 11:56 AM
I don't want to get into a whole thing with you here about all kinds of religious people feeling compelled to do terrible things, claiming to be guided by this 'moral compass' you speak of... I do not need to be guided to do the right thing, I just don't feel compelled to do the wrong thing. As are many others, believing or non-believing. Let's not get that into the mix.

I have been to Aruba several times and I think they were some of the most friendly people. Although It appears that they are all coersed somehow to say only good things about the island and be the friendliest they can be to tourists. I wonder if there are some severe consequences if they do anything to the contrary.

Where was it heard that the VDS family are athiests??????Although this may explain alot.
Posted by: Val | Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 12:16 PM
@Val : No it doesn't. Please get real.

No way is that a real letter from Deepak...that would be more like a "plant"..."Oh, how did that letter get out there" or, some jerk trying to create a stir in the story...

I have to agree with Moscow girl and other non-American people on this site (and a number of Americans who can see things alot lot more clearer than their neighbours).
The perpetual whining about how their country is better than everywhere else, talk of boycotts and all this other crap is doing nothing to help Natalee, but it is doing a lot to create an anti-American backlash, where people will start not caring about Natalee at all, or that she somehow "got what she deserved".
This is the same kind of crap that started slowly, but surely after 9/11. At first, the whole world was in mourning with America....until Americans started making remarks about "towel-heads" and other shit. The world din't have a problem with taking out the Taliban, but then everyone began wondering what Iraq had to do with terror.
Now, there is a backlash happening.
If anything, I'd support a boycott of Aruba by Americans. Because, like Cuba, there would be another place where people can have a good time without being embarrassed by and mistaken for Americans.
Maybe you guys can boycott Mexico and Canada too, while you're in the mood.
McJesus
Save Natalee!

"no body, no crime" I have one for Aruba...it goes like this ..."no body, no crime…no tourism!" America cant let them get away with this type of attitude. I will never let my wife or children go to there again.

Maybe JVDS should go missing and see if his family likes it....
Posted by: headscratcher | Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 02:59 PM
That is a bogus letter... and an idiot would believe it....

The real question is not THAT Paul van der Sloot had a "no body, no crime" conversation with his son. The question is WHEN Paul van der Sloot had his first "no body, no crime" conversation. If he only had that conversation after the fact, that only makes him SLIME, although not a criminal under Dutch law. But if he had that conversation BEFORE anyone, other than the perpetrators, even KNEW there was a body, and before any of the perpetrators had DISPOSED of the body, then that makes him a CRIMINAL, even under Dutch law. And, if he had that conversation while Natalee was ALIVE, that makes him a MONSTER. So you take your pick: slime, criminal, or monster. Under the most favorable scenario, he still comes out as SLIME.
So, why are the Aruban women lining up to hand flowers and potted plants over the van der Sloot front gate?
Isn't there a SINGLE Aruban out there who gets sick to his stomach, when he see that picture?
Even ONE?

its time to extract the van der sluts et al from aruba and take them to a safe place. They will talk only when they know they are safe. So, why wait 4 more months? Its got to be torture on them to live with lies for that much longer. lets set them free today by yanking them to an undisclosed location and showing them proper courtesy for such a fine family. Then perhaps they will properly understand their role in ms. holloway's dissappearance.
I am sure the DEA has enough info on drug activity and judicial corruption in aruba and the northern area of south america to work back channels. But in the meantime, lets arrange passage for the entire van der slut family to a more secure location. of course for their safety.
God knows what will happen to them, just look what they claim not to know about ms. holloway.
the drug lords will cut their tongues out one way or another, if they are lucky. In any event the van der sluts lives are over for all practical purposes. How would you like to introduce yourself in 10 years as the father or mother of joran? Nobody will be seen with them and they will vanish into the hash haze called holland.
I agree with the sentiment i have gleaned from this site overall. this isnt simply a delinquent kid named van der slut killing a tourist.
the cover up has raised questions that demand international answers. The US govt should remove all van der sluts from aruba at once. How i dont care, perhaps the sharks are still hungry on the redneck riviera.

A guy like that in America will get killed in jail , out side, or any where.... we know you did it and dispose the body too for a cover up, the case is simple ... he drug her, took her away, raped her, kill her and dispose the body, then he attack trowing wine at the reporter face, ( a violent act because he is been discover ) he is violent , and a very stupid too, his father and the justice department in Aruba are helping him to get out of this mess, all the americans hope to see you in America Aruba or anywhere one day, frankenstein head , justice day will come for you ! is written ... if you kill , you will be killed., and your father is not going to be there to cover up you .
