Released suspect claims arrested young man confessed to him in jail
that he had lied to police
ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) - A former hotel security guard released
after being detained in connection with the disappearance of an
Alabama teen alleged Tuesday that one of three younger men arrested
in the case lied to police about what happened to the young woman.
Antonius "Mickey" John, 30, said he was detained in a cell
adjacent to one of the young men, 21-year-old Deepak Kalpoe, and
that the two spent time talking.
John said Kalpoe told him that he and his brother Satish Kalpoe,
18, and their 17-year-old Dutch friend never went back to the
Holiday Inn the morning of May 30, the day 18-year-old Natalee
Holloway disappeared.
Kalpoe said they instead dropped the Dutch boy and Natalee off
near the Marriott Hotel, located just north of the Holiday Inn on
the same beach.
Nearly three dozen police launched a search on Tuesday near the
Marriott, where they could be seen cordoning off a three-block area
near the hotel. Government spokesman Ruben Trapenberg confirmed it
was yet another search for the girl.
"Investigators may be following up leads from what was said
this morning," he said, referring to John's comments. "They
probably need to check all those things out."
Attorney General Caren Janssen said Tuesday she had no response
to John's comments "or anything else."

The REAL story is that you have to wait for further investigation and official statement from the authorities.

Hi Dan: Thanks so much for your reports. I have been listening to 95 now for the last couple hours. The only words I am understanding are Natalee Holloway, FBI, Marriott, and Aruba. Does anyone have anymore updates???

Why would her body end up at the Marriott? If it is at the Marriott why has it been spotted in the last two weeks. The Marriott is the last hotel on the strip at Palm Beach.

To Jimmy,
In the earlier statements of the three friends they said that they went to the lighthouse and Arashi Beach. That's why the authorities were searching at Arashi and Hudishibana Lighthouse(called California). These guys thougt they were smart, but as I see not smart enough!

Up until now the fire department left, because they finished getting the water out of the area and the police are still searching, and it's been said on the radio that the police are insisting that they are going to continue searching in the area.

I think all the three boys were involved in her disappearance. If the Kalpoes were innocent, they would have confessed already what had happened to NH and tried to get out of the jail as soon as possible. On the other hand, it is not rare to suggest that the local authorities are trying to protect the Aruban image, so if there is no body found, then there will be no case at all, and NH case shall remain a mystery. Aruba will be the same "nice safe place again", visited by many Yankees etc, with the bucks coming inside. The panty and condoms they found could also be placed there by somebody to mislead the investigation. Or it could be stuff that has been left back by a couple who went over there and had sex (because the place is known as "lovers lane") Another possibility is that JVDS and the Kalpoes sold her to Columbian/Venezuelan pimps and received money for their deed. They loved to gamble, maybe they were in debt (they borrowed money from the gangsters/pimps to play poker) and they decided to kidnap and sell her to those folks for the sake of money, because daddy won't give those spoiled brats more money. It also could be possible that the guard just lied that the boy confessed to him, so that he could be released quickly (because that was the case also). Only one thing is very clear, and that is that this trio knows exactly what has happened to Nathalee. If they were living in Suriname, the case would have been solved already in 24 hours, because we have a Special Force in the Police Department known as the Arrestatie Team (Arresting Team or just A-Team) They stand above the law and have far-reaching competency given by the Attorney General. In this case they would arrest the boys at a very, very rude manner, and on the way to the Police Department, they would beat those boys very bad up in their dark Van, so bad, that they would confess everything before they would arrive in front of a Assistant Officer of Justice!~. Anyway, it is a very interesting case...
