FBI Searching For Natalee Holloway - Reward Offered

Update: Arrests Made

The family of eighteen year old Natalee Holloway is now offering a reward for her return, though the amount of the reward remains unspecified. The FBI is in Aruba leading the search for the blonde honor student and high school senior who failed to show up for the return flight for her high school class on Monday.

Three Aruban men were questioned and released in the disappearance. They have not been labeled suspects and claim to have dropped the teenager off at her hotel early Monday morning.

Witnesses say that she was last seen getting into a car with an Aruban male upon leaving a popular night club late Sunday night. The family has been unable to identify her in hotel security tapes which were provided for review.

It's unclear if foul play was involved, or if something transpired in the early hours of Monday morning causing the teen to opt out of her return flight and drop out of sight.

The three guys in the car where one Dutchmen and the two others where from Surinam. The two security guards detained are Jamaicans. This is not to be racist but just to clarify that there are no Arubans evolved until this moment. We all pray and hope this comes to an end.

For the record, most people in Alabama are conservative, so the wise crack about another liberal being gone was sooooo far off base, it's not funny. I feel really bad that many people are blaming Natalee for not being "smart" or "careful". A few years ago a friend and I were on a cruise and stopped at Carlos and Charlies in Cozumel. She went to the bathroom without me and never came back. After a frantic search for nearly two hours I found her asleep in our cabin on the ship with a note from the guard at the ships entrance. It said, "Your friend was walked out of Carlos and Charlies by a native, but an American tourist noticed what was going on and took her from the man. That tourist found her ship card and brought her back here." I was terrified at what could have happened. In the morning my friend had no recollection of anything. We know her drink was tampered with b/c she definitely didn't drink enough to black out. So if you think Natalie was being stupid, maybe she didn't have the presence of mind to make the right choice!

Nobody knows what has happend yet. They did however find some belongings from her. The search until now continues....

I am from Aruba and been living here 13 years now. This has never happened before. Last year 2 Americans were missing (parents let son swim on North side and drowns, fathers rescues and drowns also). We have had armed robberies, there has been shootings. But NO, never anybody was kidnapped. Neither do we sell ladies all the time, in fact NEVER. And whatever happened: It is a coincedence that it was an American. So the American ladies can come here and have fun.

Being in the same "stereotype" that she has been placed, I can say thruthfully that she probably was indeed naive to the danger surrounding her. According to CNN, the attorney representing the two detainees stated that they have been charged, not officially, with a homicide related crime or conspiracy to commit homicide. Moreover, the attorney also said that one suspect was at home that night and the other one was indeed out partying, but with his wife. In other words, they're categorically denying any involvement. This doesn't make any sense to me. Aruba is so small; 99.9% of all crimes are solved. You can't go anywhere. Then again, most criminals have the IQ of a mothball.

Here's the latest dirt right from some media sources. She apparently has had problems and disputes with family members in the past, mainly her stepfather and stepmother..... She has pulled a running away/disappearing act in the past back home..... She also wrote some cryptic message in her yearbook pertaining to traveling or going away. The two guys that have been detained have admitted to law enforcement officials of selling her drugs. Furthermore, other tourists who were staying at the hotel commented about the out of control behavior of the teenagers and their drinking habits resembling sailors arriving at a port.

People !! Don't judge our island Aruba with what is happening right now, it's the first time that this happens in Aruba compared to many countries when it happens almost everyday, including the US. And all those people that don't have a clue about Aruba please don't write B.S. about "girls are being sold"..etc..etc....NOT TRUE !!
On thing that is true is that many tourists come here and "indulge" themselves with cocaine, alcohol, sex, parties etc, and that's their choice. Let's hope that she's fine and that we can return her safe to her family.

Yes, the legal drinking age is eighteen down there but you're still technically bending the law because of U.S. citizen status back home. I was at Carlos and Charlies in Aruba a month ago. This was my second time visiting the gorgeous island. I came home this time with a completely different outlook on Aruba. This is my feelings: Older Arubian native love tourism. The younger generation (which I am) HATE us. I have never felt so out of place at a bar in my life. The looks we were getting, the way we were treated, for no reason. I am sorry to hear of Natatlee's disappearance. Truly sorry, but the truth is, I am not surprised. Especially at Carlos & Charlies. Not to mention where the bar is located is creapy. ALSO, yes there has been a few other disappearances of American in Aruba and NO they were not divers. A family in NJ lost their 23 yr old daughter 7 years ago. She has not been found since. Pray for Natalee Holloway and Amy Bradley, may they return home safely.

Jen- The reason some of the younger locals might look at younger tourists with disdain is because you are competition. I remember Aruba back in the 1980's, and so many local girls were complaining about American girls throwing themselves at the locals, and, their proclivity for wanting to have sex. Which was a bunch of hypocrisy because the Aruban girls were just as wild or hormone driven, believe me ! Yes, there have been some tourists who acted like depraved moral reprobates but that's an abberation. People always like to blow things out of proportion and slime or besmirch a group of people, i.e. tourists, even if only a small number acts out of line. I left Aruba in 1983 and have to say that disrespecting young American girls was completely out of the norm; on the contrary, if we hooked up with a hottie we were rather protective of her in case someone else tried to hit on her. At the same, kids nowandays have changed a little bit with the whole "bithces and Ho's" vernacular and their penchant for idolizing underachievers, misfits, and criminals. I'm going to Aruba next month after a long hiatus....I'll get the real dirt somehow.

I've sat by and read and listened to all these opinions. I've been going to Aruba for about 20 years now. Every year for 1 month. My family and friends for more than 30 years. Yes, Aruba is a wonder place and I won't stop going. Arubians are wonderful caring people, though many may say it's because they need to keep up appearances for tourism. In some instances this may be true.

Yes there is an influx of people from other countries and not to stereotype but there is a problem with alot of outsiders. There is a bad element in Aruba just like any where else if not more in our own country of the US. Many Arubians are aware of this and frown upon it because they want to keep their home and I repeat THEIR HOME safe not only for tourists but for their own families which by the way they take great pride in stressing family values. But those who are unaware or choose not to believe things are going on in Aruba let's be realistic. I've frequented Carlo's and Charlie's many times and yes although it is a fun place for some, many are naive or oblivious to what goes on there. Drugs flow pretty easily there as well as right in plane sight just outside the club. Police are aware of the problem and I only hope they are doing everything they can to police it. Many times i felt uncomfortable being there. It can be intimidating to those who r naive.

Having been to this Island for many years and I am still thinking of possibly purchasing property there. Because it is in it's own right a pretty safe place to be. But one still needs to be aware of what goes on.
For those of u who don't know there are newspapers which are written especially for the tourists and then there are newspapers for the locals which report most of the happenings on the island. This is fact and it can't be disputed.
It's no different than visitors coming to visit the states, they don't want to hear anything negative because then they would'nt feel safe.
This is in no way meant to change the focus of where's Natalie. I have my own opinions as to what possibly happened. I agree that some others need to take some responsibility, chaperone's were nowhere to be found when this happened and why in God's name didn't any of her close friends and there were many who saw her leaving did nothing to stop her or question where she was going. I agree that like many teenagers she was partying and having a good time. Most of us did the same thing. She was on vacation. But i also think someone may have slipped something into her drink. Again this is known to happen and has happened in Aruba as well as in other places. I believe there was foul play. I am sure everyone has heard of Date rape drugs. The truth will come out eventually.

The fact is someone that is loved is missing and all the negative opinions don't help. It could be someone you care about. I myself will probably do my part when I get to the island if she hasbn't been found by then. I have many friends Arubians,dutch, Colombian etc. that live on the island and they confirm the locals are very concerned for Natalee. Sure they care about tourism but they care about people first. I hope many of u will appreciate all they are doing. Let's not let the media twist & blow some things out of proportion. Right now this is big news they have nothing else to talk about. Man, I hope the jury in the Michael Jackson case comes back quickly so the media will not find more negativity to report about Aruba. Just kidding.

All I'm saying is that I'm a 25 year old female, and I would NEVER get into a car with strange guys, for any reason. And the same holds true when I was 18, or even 14 for that matter! It's something you learn in PRE-SCHOOL, for Gods' sake! Let's all get a grip here. I am a young lawyer in connecticut and the first thing I learned in school is not to speculate ABOUT ANYTHING until you know all the facts surrounding the matter. There is obvious information that is not being disclosed to the public that has led to the arrest of these two individuals. I would assume, just like in the United States, that sufficient facts must exist to hold two people in custody. Why don't we all just stop beating each other up and pointing fingers on a matter that we know nothing about. We should have compassion for Natalee and pray for her safe return, for her parents who must be going to hell right now, and for the two individuals who have been arrested, as well as their families, as we don't know for sure of their involvement. These websites were originally created to share compassionate thoughts on unfortunate events, but you have turned it into an anger fest. All I can say is stop wasting your time verbally abusing each other, learn to have compassion for your fellow human being, depiste race or place of abode, and go on with your life in a more productive manner. Praying and feeling bad about this tragic situation is normal, but doing what you are are doing here is the most immature and abusive thing I have witnessed. Focus your energy on Natalee and her safe return and learn to be better people.

I was shocked when I heard this news from my family about Nathalee's disappearance . I grew up in Aruba and am currently living and doing an internship in New York City.

I hope all of this turns out ok. And that they will find Nathalee back.

I've been reading what has been posted on this website and I can understand that everybody is worried and have mixed feelings.

However I have to say that Aruba is a wonderful place to live. Very safe, for such a MULTICULTURAL community it is amazing how well everybody gets along with each other.

Aruban People are not only black, not only white, not only of Indian descent , but are a mix of everything as a result of its history.

Please keep on supporting the family and pray for her save return.
