Update2: Without request, many commenters seem to have taken up the practice of posting an initial or nickname and general location - state, country, etc ... and wishing the family their best. If you wish to do so, I'll maintain this post near the top for awhile and eventually clean up all off-topic or inappropriate content, including references to me or this blog, and save the post as a web card of sorts for the preservation of readers positive thoughts for Natalee Holloway, her family and friends. The actual content within the post will also be edited to reflect an appropriate tone by removing statistics and reference to this site.
The eyes on Natalee title has to do with you, the readers. Since the beginning of the coverage here of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, approximately June 1st, the postings on this web log have attracted over 1 Million distinct "visits" by an unknown number of individual viewers, which has also resulted in over 1.75 Million unique page views.
Apart from being glad that I have been able to offer information to so many seeking it, I hope the family of Natalee Hollaway might take at least a small bit of solace in knowing how many individuals from America, to Aruba, Holland and elsewhere share a genuine concern for Natalee.

Dan is right. We are all behind you Beth and family! It would be nice if everyone here would post their location so we can see just how many people across the world care about this family.

Hi everyone, my name is Alex and I am from Montreal in Canada. I have been following the case of Natalee's mysterious disappearance from the beginning. Like everyone I've been touched by this event and like everyone I hope that she returns safe in good health to her Family. I feel she is the Friend of all the Good People in the World. May God continue to help her Family and gave them strenght to continue to hold and never give up in the research for their daughter.
God Bless Mr. and Mrs Holloway and most of all help Natalee wherever she is .

We want to reach out and hug every situation where one is missing. Set a trail a breadcrumbs or snicker bars to guide them back if they so are wandering. So many come to mind, even beloved friend in my life that has missing going on four years now. We come together in awareness to keep our eyes open for the ones trying to find their way back to where they belong. Peace.

A Texas Mom in

WW -- I read an interview with a friend of hers who was with her that day; she was on the way back from a vacation to Hot Springs, AR with several women friends when she got the call that Natalee hadn't appeared for the flight home. The friend said she immediately went into "I'm handling this" mode and did indeed drive very fast, even calling 911 and asking for a police escort at one point. When they didn't comply, she drove at 100+ anyway, then told the policeman who pulled her over what was going on. She was escorted after that according to the friend.
Now, as a mom, I'm not surprised at all at her behavior. Your first instinct would be to get to your child -- can you imagine how she felt? Not only was her daughter missing in a foreign country, she herself was away from home and unable to do a darn thing. If she and Natalee were as close as it appears, she knew the minute she got the first phone call that something was very wrong. I don't see anything suspicious in her behavior, I just see a mother who knows her daughter...
Praying for Natalee, her family and all who love her in Tennessee...

I am so glad I found this blog. You have all given me much to consider. For the most part, it has been an interesting, but frustrating time.
As the mother of two girls just a few years older than Natalee, and going to college, I can only imagine the pain BHT is experiencing. My prayers are with that family.

I can also relate to Beth's reaction. If you know your child, you know if they're likely to over-sleep and miss the flight or if they're a kid who is always on time. NH seems like she was always on time, and it seems that BH knew her daughter well enough to know that it was highly unusual that she wasn't on the plane.
We really appreciate the job you are doing here, as well as the folks hosting the Scared Monkeys. I do hope the Holloway family know how many of us are keeping them in our prayers.

Dan,
thanks so much for your informative and compassionate updates and coverage. you are right, Natalee has captured millions of hearts and in the ears of God tonight there are literally thousands of voices asking him to deliver Natalee to her family who love her.
I may be one of the rare people who still hold out hope that she may be alive, but, that is my ultimate request from God, to get her home to Alabama to return to her life and become a doctor because she is someone who will add so much to our world and help others.
If she is not living, I pray her family can have peace in at least finding her body to take home, and I hope whoever harmed her is held accountable.
God bless Tim Miller and Texas Equusearch for his amazing compassion and contribution to this family, and others waiting in misery for some news of their beloved child.
Thank you Dan for caring enough to feature Natalee and her family's story in the most thorough, objective, and compelling format.

Words cannot express how attached I've become to this case. We pray and hope that Natalee's families find the solace in bringing her back home, if justice is not the be attained in Aruba.
Dan, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for not letting Natalee drop off the radar, as discouraging and perplexing as it can sometimes get.

I watched the interview Greta did with the Twittys tonight, and it broke my heart. They were begging for some help to find their daughter. I'm sending emails out tomorrow, starting at the top with President Bush and asking for some help for this family. I think we should all do the same thing. Please join me in turning up the heat. We CAN make a difference.

You have gone far above and beyond the call of duty in trying to keep people informed and get facts straight.
I'd also like to salute you for caring about Natalee, I know this wasn't just another story to you.
God bless you.
