From CNN.com
Problems arranging a charter flight, as well as restrictions on bringing their three search dogs onto the island have delayed the arrival of the Texas search group EquuSearch until Friday.
However, Miller said he had a conversation with Aruba's prime minister, who has green-lighted the trip for Friday The 17-member team of former and current law enforcement officers will also employ side-scanning equipment that provides sonar pictures of what is underwater.
Not sure I get this bit at all regarding the Twitty/v d Sloot meeting Fox showed as far from a "chance meeting" -
"It was just a situation that presented itself when I was in his neighborhood and at his home, and I just acted upon it and, yes, we did have a conversation, and that's all I want to disclose about it at this time," Twitty said.
Twitty's lawyer is no characterizing information sharing as "good," one of the three boys has apparently pointed the finger at Steven G Croes and:
The attorney told CNN that police investigators have brought in behavioral and demeanor experts from the United States to sit in on interviews with the three suspects arrested initially, to help with the case.

Media Freak ...
It was on a Fox interview. I don't remember the man's name. He was introduced as a 21 year veteran of the Aruban Police (or something like that). His comments were in anger and highly criticized. But my point was not to give him credibility ... but to reference the growing anger in Aruba towards pressure from America.
Later government officials also denied American news agencies access to other current crime information. The government was obviously angry and feeling pushed around by Americans in general.

Elio Nicolaas went on FOX news declaring that he as an retired police officer who studied and trained in Holland and in USA, with DEA and FBI, believs that the family should also be interviewed and the kids. However it was his opinion, not the Aruban government nor athorities.
The feeling I have felt till now is that Aruban/Dutch laws are not respected and considered inferior and the fact that by law no information can be given of an ongoing investigation to the public, which international media do not to accept that fact and continue to ponder the athorities who in cooperation with FBI and dutch investigators are working on this case. They want information and if there is not, they will fabricate them.

Jon,
Well maybe your interperting what her mother is saying incorrectly. I took it that she didn't need to go into detail with the press about what has gone on or need the press to be on the kids. is that protecting the kids. I would say yes it is. But I don't see that as a problem. This lady would have NO trouble going back to these kids if she thought for 1 sec they could help. Hell she went to JVD's and called his dad and mom out. She is pretty tough and I don't think will leave any stone unturned. It again seems to me it is YOU and a few others who seem to think the kids should be talking to the press. I don't

Natalee's friends may not be saying much because they've been told not to say much by the FBI as it might jeopardize evidence that could be used in a trial in Aruba.... so it may down to the very legal system in Aruba that they are reluctant to tell everything. For example, if someone saw Joran dropping something in her drink and they discussed this on Fox, that bit of evidence may be thrown out of court.

Not exactly, but something like that.
Some one saw something and they told the press or everybody else, the defense could ask the judge to throw it out of court because, the witness has no prove and might be guided by moments of fame, and or is biased by the media. The witness prefered to go public instead of helping the investigators. The judge will rule in favor of the defense.

I heard a report on Hannity's radio show per Julie Banderas. She says the Kalpoe brothers and Joran VDS were put in a room together, questions were put to them and they were allowed to hear each other and talk to each other. Joran's story then changed again.
This must have been INTERESTING.
Also from the Hannity radio show, with Banderas reporting: she said that during the meeting between Beth Twitty and the VD Sloots, Beth expressed concern about sexual contact with Natalee.
According to Banderas, Joran's mother said he admitted to her he'd had sexual contact with Natalee. Banderas claims Beth Twitty said Natalee was a virgin.
I would suppose that this information came to Banderas via Van Susteren.

Yeah we saw the petition already.
But it's asking something that by law is not possible: THE INTERFERENCE OF A GOVERNMENT IN A PROSECUTORS INVESTIGATION. There is a separation and no government official, minister not even the governor, who is the representation of the Queen on the island can interfere with an investigation by the Judicial System. Sometimes even the gov was being investigated.
Also the FBI is included in all interrogation of suspects, even FBI lie detector has been used in Joran. Also American profilers are on the island to follow further interogations.
Also, all information that leaked, true or not, or by 'officials' or reporters are based on assumptions and rumors.
And last the Aruba Gov and State Dept. have continous contact and have no influence in an investigation.

I traveled to Cozumel last winter, by cruise...we had 215 in our group. The day we were in port...everyone went their seperate ways..excursions and the like. My friends and I were to meet at Carlos and Charlies...they never made it. So I sat and waited...the entire wait staff catered to me...because I was by myself. I "responsibly" nursed my Pina Colada...but regardless the party atmosphere soon took off. There was conga line dancing...and waiters grabbing you by the back of the head and pouring tequilla down your throat..I was by myself, and they picked on me...I was "it"...I remember finding a couple in our group and asking them to be sure I make it back to the boat! Natalee and the other kids may have intended to party like Mountain Brookers...but Carlos and Charlies...it isn't Applebees! I remember seeing kids...with their parents like 14...and they were getting shots of tequilla. It may be different in Aruba, but I suspect CandC tries to maintain that crazy party atmoshphere no matter where.

"It was reported by several not one person that she was not falling down drunk. She was in good condition. She was asked if she was ok."
MountainMan, People don't normally ask a sober, well person "if they are okay!" There is a REASON for asking. What you've reported makes NO sense!!

We need to start hearing the real deal from nats friends..or the classmates who can give us info on nat and jorans pre Carlos'ncharlies scene. Was she hanging out with him days earlier? what did she say about him.. Im thinking..because she had her bags all packed and ready to go tells me one of 2 things:
1. she would be home so late that it would probably be early morning, in time to meet up with her classmates for the ride back to the airport...or
2. she planned on getting pretty drunk- and would be too intoxicated to be able to pack all her stuff for the morning departure.
..so this in essence tells me she had something planned...to stay out really really late..or to party it up an get plastered.
But seriously....It has been too quiet on the class front...of course most of them want to take a back seat and maybe not be involved..but they-- some were involved in the sense that they heard and saw things that maybe ....maybe can lead to some good tips.

The media needs to start putting pressure pressure pressure on the group of kids and chaperones who were on the trip. To me it seems like they dont want to get involved or air some kids's dirty laundry?.. But heck...we are talking about one of your classmates...your fellow human being who is missing!..and her family who is ripped apart with anxiety, fear, terror..etc...
Was the partying pretty bad that it would do damage to Nats reputation, and thats why you are all keeping quiet? Right now we need every breath of info..leven if you think its non essential. Speak up chaperones...obviously YOU are PARENTS yourselves!

Wow. I'm so surprised. I came here thinking that our PM would be blasted for not facilitating the search of the people from TX. Guess nobody cares what he says...:)
See, the thing that I find annoying about saying / not saying is that people feel that the cops should put everything on the table, but God forbid that MBH students or the FBI even open their mouths.
About her being drunk or not, I do think it's important, to at least know if indeed she was lucid when going with the guys or not. I really don't think it speaks ill of her character if she was drunk, as she was 18 and on vacation.
Entering C&C? If you look like you're 18, you get in.

Jorans father is working his way into Dutch Monarchy....Joran is 17....a minor...a MINOR...if he fell victom to a mishap, (accidental homicide) he would first:
a) try to cover up
b) second rely on dad to cover up
c) third break down and confess knowing he is 17 and a minor under Dutch law....he would do no real time...his dad knows this, his mom knows this, they all know his dads Judgeship is now a pipedream.....why not confess....why does he not confess...all of us who stay here in this forum day after day, hour after hour still refuse to ask ourselves...what is really going on. Occams razor....
Occams Razor
"A rule in science and philosophy stating that entities should not be multiplied needlessly. This rule is interpreted to mean that the simplest of two or more competing theories is preferable and that an explanation for unknown phenomena should first be attempted in terms of what is already known. Also called law of parsimony."
I drempt last night..."in my dream I smell the smell of chemicals...once before I smelled this, the smell and taste of an anesthesia right before i passed out on the operating table at the age of 14, after 15 seconds of this I drempt that something was after me, i fight to get away from this thing coming at me...then this thing becomes headless...I feel slightly safer..untill...the headless thing comes at me again, and now it feels like many many hands pulling at my stomach, more hands than this thing should have...why is it still alive pulling at me"...then I awake...I've been semiasleep for 20 mins. Dear lambs of God, I can say that was our angel...on 6/22/05 at 5:20am I was touched...blessed...ushered in...her soul is strong...we will not fail her.
