Disturbing Developments in Natalee Holloway Disappearance

Update: Arrests made in case.

With the Natalee Holloway investigation focusing on three men, one the son of a judge and all said to be popular on the small island, authorities are speaking with an ominous tone of mystery regarding the Alabama senior and honor student's disappearance.

An additional ten FBI agents are on in Aruba, bringing the total to thirteen. The additional resources were apparently requested as a result of some unknown circumstances in the case.

U.S. Rep. Spencer Bachus, R-Vestavia Hills, said Saturday there were circumstances surrounding Holloway's disappearance that warranted the FBI being heavily involved. He declined to give details.

"The circumstances were disturbing," said Bachus, who formally requested the FBI's involvement. "I can't get into it, but it's something the family is aware of. There was an immediate recognition that this was not simply a teen who wandered off."

Authorities are also hinting at a quick resolution of the case, but offering few details.

"I want everybody to hold their breaths for the next 24 hours," Dompig said Saturday. "There will be developments after this weekend."

In what could be a tragic irony, in the Mountain Brook yearbook, Holloway's senior quote came from the old Lynyrd Skynyrd song "Freebird." It says:

"If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me? For I must be traveling on now, there's too many places I haven't seen."

what many of us seem to forget is Natalies age she is young,i can see her wanting to spend some private time with Joran, but for all you know he may have told her it would be dangerous for them to go to the beach alone,and he was taking 2 of his friends to be bodyguards for them. I sugest Aquua search take their sonar equipment and search paul van de sloot backyard,it probably would not take over 30 minutes it might sound macabe but that would be the least likely place anyone would expect her to be put. To Beth my prayers are with you daily,I am praying GOD give you your child to take back home. DO not leave any stone unturned,no matter how little or unlikely it may seem check it out. I have been watching this case unfold from the very beginning and I have heard there are abandoned mines on the island. This would be a perfect place to search for Natalee, either being held against her will or God forbid her remains. With the equipment the search team has, it would be the only way to investigate these mines for any signs of Natalee. My heart is with the families of Natalee and wish for her safe return.

If there is any good to come of this tragic event, it
is that parents considering sending their 17 and 18
year olds to a foreign country to "party" might choose
a wiser course. I can hardly believe that this was a
school sponsored event given that there wasn't even a
pretense of it having any educational value. Just what
did the Holloway's think there daughter was going to
do in Aruba and why did the almost total lack of adult
supervision not concern them? Although this
camera-ready family has done everthing they can to try
three young men in the press, the sad reality is that
their lack of good judgement may well have led to
their daughter's death and that they will have to live
with for the rest of their lives.

I too was looking to help the family and found this on the internet. I would want and need the help..how are they ever covering the cost? As a mother of 2, now grown daughters..I have been exposed to incidents with them out of the US. Yes.. it happens here in the US too..but live and learn and they prefer to stay here for vacations because of these past bad scares.
Everyone needs to stop bashing each other and Pray for this nightmare to end for the family dead or alive. They just want to know where and why she is gone. It doesn't matter WHY Natalee's disappearance is so active on the news...I thank God they have the news to help them. If this was happening to your family or friends you would want the news exposure also. I thank God everyday it is still so active in the press for their sakes!

they need to run lie detectors on all three of those boys and there father IN ARUBA that were involved in natalie..to get to the truth from their minds and ,to make it obvious that these boys do know and, their father also where natalie is now. in the ocean dead by the sharks that is why there is no way of recovering a body and they all know that.

The girl is dead, the body won't ever be found and no one will ever be charged. Sad facts, but face the truth. It doesn't matter what the media reports, or if Aruba is to blame. The truth is that this is going to be one of those disappearances that never gets solved. Just speculation upon speculation. Hello, Tiffany Sessions!? It's a shame, it really is. Humanity has gone to hell. There will be more crimes like this, maybe even worse. Wake up, people! No one is truly safe anywhere! I believe that they are gifted and can tell you what you need to know by going over some of her personal affects and walking in Aruba and getting physic impressions about what happened to her and who could be involved in her dissappearance?

I have read all of these stories and have only seen one that makes any sence.Hasn't anyone noticed that in all the news clips of Natalie that she is always surrounded with all her buddys?Not one shows her alone.Didn't anyone notice the interview with all her friends how nervous they were?How they seemed to be confused and cautious about what to say?how their eyes darted from one to another as if to say uh,uh,now lets not let our mommies and daddys find out anything that we did because we dont want people to think bad of us.Has anyone ever thought of some tough interrigation for the BEST FRIENDS?

Nobody is talking about the credible witness who came onto Fox Cable TV last week and said she was accosted by a predator at 6:00 a.m. FIVE DAYS BEFORE NATALEE DISAPPEARED - at the very spot on the beach, near the fishermen's hut and picnic area. He was wearing only a shirt with rolled up sleeves. He kept trying to grab her and she kept backing away from him until she could run to the Marriott Hotel where she told the hotel people and the Aruba police came and talked to her. There should be a record of that police call and her statement. Shame on the Aruba police and the hotel for not warning the people at the hotel and the public so they could protect themselves. It is appalling that nobody is talking about this. Why?????
