Changing Tone

There seems to be a changing tone with the family of Natalee Holloway. The step-father confirmed on Fox tonight that he felt a resolution was imminent and that authorities also told him they anticipated bring ing in an additional eight or nine potential witnesses for questioning.

As an observer, it looks like it is at least possible that communications are improving between authorties and teh families, much of this seems to have happened recently, possibly partly due to the family retaining a lawyer. But it is unknown who from either side, including the FBI, is working to smooth things out, get everyone co-operating and looking forward to a resolution to the troubling mystery.

An incident purported to be from a questioning session with Joran, Satish and Deepak all present was interesting. It was reported that Joran was asked what happened after being dropped off at the beach with Natalee and he ultimately said he called Deepak to come and pick him up after an hour. Deepak interjected, "Why are you lying," and immediately Joran changed and said it was Satish who picked him up.

On the one hand, it's good to know things are moving forward, on the other it is frustrating to know that these three clowns continue to tell apparently untrue and, or confused, confusing and conflicting stories long after I would have cracked one up the side of the head with a rubber hose.

But then, that might not hold up in court ...

Does anyone remember seeing Joran's birthdate on his website before it was taken down? I think it was June 6, 1987...Everyone seems to be making a big deal about his being a minor and only 17. If his birthday was June 6th, how did he celebrate and how does it affect his legal status in this matter? Thanks for the great site.

I'm having a sobering feeling that Natalee is going to come up alive but for right now, she may be in hiding on the island and doesn't want to be found. You can't get very far without a passport either to enter Venezuela, Columbia or any other island. Although a few days passed since she made the news, she would still be in transit. If she was an adventurous spirit, like me, then she likes being in new places. Traveling alone @ 18 is an experience! I read a theory that suggests she is in Venezuela but not as a sex slave; but she met up with some windsurfers and may be in a Windsurfers town in Venezuela; starts with an 'A'. Anybody read that also? Hey, she may have found a boat to Europe. There are alot of personal elements about this young woman we will never know.

Hmm. Interesting. It sounds very plausible that Natalee may have been invited to a nearby 'locals party' where she may have celebrated 'her last day on the island' with some friendly folk. She may have tried something new like a new drug (recall Pulp Fiction?) except she od'd and there may have been no one to call since there may have been so much illegal activity that anyone there would have been afraid to call. So they ditched the body.

Those three jerks are hiding the truth (they are constantly changing their stories) and it is obvious that crime is involved. I'm just sick and tired of all those speculations. I just want justice...I really hope those boys will pay for what they did. One thing is for sure...the boys have committed crime, but how exactly no one knows for sure, not yet...

I notice too that Mrs. Van Der Sloot is a very "real" person.

Mr. Van Der Sloot, judging too from people who actually know him, appears quite polite. In the US a suspect, for having a backpack, was shot the other day and did not have a hand grenade.

I think O'Reily should come on and let us all dig through his scuzzy phone calls to the lady that he settled up with for sexual harrassment or whatever.. O'Reily, is an example of people who want to spin the facts how he wants it to appear. O' Reily is not Mr. Clean and wanting to make a big deal of a teen sneaking out. I mean Cybil Shepard said her dad nailed her windows down but that doesn't make her a murderer. Teens sometimes sneak out. Gee. Maybe Mr. O'Reily grew up to sexually harrass because he never did the normal teenage things? Greta is better at fair and balance from what I have seen so far.

Remember, this is not suppose to be another invasion like Iraq on Aruba but a very unfortunate case of a missing person, something we have much more trouble with here in the US with many cases unresolved. How many missing people are there in the US with never a picture on television.

This is very unfortunate but I think we should let the facts come forth and not shoot people just because they have a backpack just yet.

I wish the people from Aruba would write more because that would help us in the US understand the real characteristics of the suspects from people who actually know them, etc.

I believe this case will be resolved. Hopefully Natalee Holloway is a run away but at this time I doubt it, sad to say.

i still believe Joran is innocent of the bigger charge that most persons are tryin to levy on him.

I think like natalie the most he is guilty of is makin an unwise decision after the night didn't go as planned.

So what, he told a lie, to try to save his a**, should we send him to the gallows for that? are we to assume that evcerything else that he says is a lie?

The American justice system has taught that when a crime is comitted, u pick a suspect n let the charge stick at all costs - perfect example -, IRAQ was responsible in part for 9/11 lets Bomb them.

To this day evidence suggests otherwise.

It would make perfect sense that Joran is mad at Natalee if she died of a drug overdose. Not a deliberate murder. The alcohol and drug put in her dring a C & C . Probably what Croes has to do with this. He is either the drug man or the boat man. If she just stopped breathing on the beach he would still be telling himself that it wasn't his fault. She did it. He could not have known that she was on medication as well according to her mothers statement that her medicine was packed. Was it allergy meds, seizure meds, nerve meds? Who knows but a mixture of alcohol with drugs and meds.....bingo. Involuntary manslaughter against whomever put the stuff in her drink. Panic and get help to get the body off the beach. Call Croes he has a small boat that they take tourist from the Mariott to the Tatoo. All these things have been put out there by the news media in Aruba but not put together in this sequence. If her body was brought out far enough the currents would do the rest. Needle in a haystack. Just my theory.
