I believe that it's the circumstances. Most of us aren't interested in the Scott Peterson case--we knew from the start he did it. MJ was a stupid trial, since Americans have already convicted him in their hearts.

What makes this case special: everyone knows at least someone very similar to this girl. That and the fact that it's a mystery. Americans are intrigued by the unknown and conspiracy theories.

I have been posting since the first week of June that this case is about covering up for the "elite". Not only PVDS' covering up...but the Aruban authorities.

But since you've calmed down, I'll try and answer. Usually when bad things happen to attractive (no matter what race), or weird things, like being missing in an island port, for instance, it will attract media attention. NH was a very attractive girl. The media decides to go with it because of her attractiveness.

Laci Peterson was not white, yet she was attractive. She also got a lot of media attention.

Like it or not, it's the way of the world, or rather, how media editors decide to do things.

Although it's not always the case. In the case of Ms. McMillen, (forgot her first name) it was really before the age of the internet was as huge as today, so her case was not as well known.

Good thing for the media pressure. I believe there was an attempted cover up in the beginning but the Aruban authorites, whom have never had to deal with this before, had no idea the media frenzy would be quite like this...therefore, the investigation is finally moving along. You all seem to be forgetting what Jug said in his interview last night. He and a bunch of his friends went to put up posters in the school that Joran attends the day after he arrived. When he gets their, he is invited into the principal/ headmasters office and, low and behold, Joran is in with him being reprimanded for being overly outspoken about the NH disappearance and saying he had met her and can't believe she was missing. If they PVS, JVS and the Sur. Bros. had all been in on the plot, don't you think that it would have been strange for JVS to be shooting his mouth off attacting attention to himself? That is particularly ignornant of him should it turn out that one of these theories is correct. However, a dipshit JVS shooting his mouth off doesn't seem to match up with one that has been detained for close to two weeks and hasn't broken down and confessed. Get my drift?

I think the most likely scenario is that Croes provided drugs, JVS used them on NH, she died, JVS got rid of the body and the Sur. Bros. have nothing to do with NH's death other than dropping JVS off at the beach and then lying about it.

That being said, i think that that JVS did confess to PVS and the Arubian authorities have been monitoring him since the start. In their monitoring of him, they have picked up on some inconsistencies in what he has been saying vs. what JVS has said and they are now going to drill down on those points. (Notice the similarity to how the picked up the boys?) It's only a matter of time folks. The Arubian authorities obviously have something that will lead to a conclusion to this mess very shortly.

If it does turn out that PVS has know all along, I hope he spends the rest of his life rotting in jail. At the very least, he will surely burn in hell for prolonging the agony for NH's family and friends.

I have been saying this all along, but I think that the Arubians are going to suprise everyone in how they have handled this despite the apparent awkwardness to those who are not familiar with their way of doing thigs.

How's this for a theory? The son or the dad, or both got in trouble with, or under obligation to a really bad criminal element at some point, and that element spotted Natalie and her group while they were vacationing. Criminal element either decided Natalie was an opportunistic acquisition for the sex trade pervs, or had a perv wanting someone fitting her description. Criminal element tells the VDS boys they can fulfill their obligation with a little kidnapping, and sets it up so there is some plausible deniability for them.

Face it, there would have been some evidence in that heat and humidity of a decomposing body, even one that was buried in a sand dune, after this long. I think she was taken off the island either that night, or within 72 hours of being snatched. I'm just not certain she's still alive, but my gut tells me she is for some reason. It'll be very interesting to see how this all plays out. I would really be interested to know if they checked the car and VDS house with Luminal, or blue-light scan for blood and bodily fluids.

I would still like to know if the authorities checked into private aircraft, and marine activity from about 1:30 a.m. on the 30th to 72 hours afterwards. Especially activity between Aruba and the Venezuelan coast.

NOBODY...and I restate NOBODY in the legal/judicial world would arrest a Judge in Training (or an attorney) without decent evidence.

The Legal/judicial world protects each other. An arrest of PVDS without grounds would wreck his career forever (this is no different than many legal malpractice cases in the US....judges will quickly dismiss despite overwhelming evidence in order to "protect the reputation" of the attorney).
