4:30 PM Update On Aruba Search

As regards reports of Natalee Holloway having previously "run away" - one to return to another caribbean island - perhaps Jamaica? ... she has never been to that island, or on the speculated trip. The only report of her ever trying to run away I could confirm was when she was three years old and attempted to unlock the screen door of her home from the inside.

The search is on going with no significant developments. Something "interesting" was spotted below the water in one of the quarries but a subsequent dive turned up nothing of significance. Apparently something dumped took on the appearance of a body in the fetal position, leading to the further investigation.

While the grid search is proceeding at sea and on land, some spots of interest will not be searched until tomorrow. These include locations, quarries and additional sites deemed to be most accessible to someone in the known locations attempting to dispose of a body in a somewhat hurried manner.

It appears a large garbage dump with difficult geography, as much as a sixty foot drop in some places, has been searched to some degree but not as yet completely. The cadaver dogs being used in the search are reported to be able to tell the difference between decomposing refuse and a decaying body.

Additional reports suggest the search team does not plan to leave until they either find what they are looking for, or conclude that it cannot be accomplished given the technology and resources. There are sites available to contribute funds to the EquuSearch efforts.

if he bought the drug to rape her, that is manslaughter not premeditated murder. I still think the elder VanderSloot is involved, at least complicit for 2 reasons:

1. He kept telling his son Joran he didn't have to say anything to the family of NH the first night JT and BHT went to the VS home. Why? Wouldn't you want to do everything you could to have your son help the family find their daughter?

2. The crime and subsequent silence by the young JVS is a little too well executed in my opinion to have been done by a 17 year old, and then kept quiet and not revealing anything through a confession. Sounds like he was 'coached' through the whole cover up and denial.

NH Total spending amount (how much money did she spend in the 5 days?)
NH Episode in the Marriot ATM machine ( true or false)
NH bank account statement.
NH past with drugs or Alcohol.

Interesting developments. The fact that boys enlisted Croes to give them an alibi lends another aspect to this case. This is not just a situation where the boys made up a story. They went to the trouble to get a third person to confirm that they dropped the girl off. I think that this just further adds to the suspicion that they had something to cover up. This is particularly curious if Croes was an acquaintance of one of the brothers but not Joran. This makes it look more like the brothers were involved after all. It took some thought to come up with a person who might be around the HI to verify their story. Again, the details on when this story was developed are crucial in determining whether they came up with before it was announced that she was missing. Did they know she was missing before it became public.

It is interesting to see that all the theories in this blog fall apart. Now that the elder VDS is not implicated in any way, there is no plausible explanation on how the young ones managed to dispose the body and evidence in such a speedy manner. The door of course opens on theories that NH is alive. If after 10 days or so of searching there is no body, you can except everybody, including the MSM and police, to be immensely confused. This might turn out to be a most interesting case.

If this is an accidental drug OD or Drug/Alcohol interaction death of NH while in the presence of JVDS alone, or even with the Kalpoe kids, I believe that he or they went back to their drug connection for advice on getting rid of the body.

Maybe PVDS, in a fit of parental protection, counciled JVDS to just leave her on the beach and come home. Others (drug dealers) have done away with the evidence cause they think the story is too hot and could open a bigger (not more important than NAt) investigation on their business.

IMO Juran and Dad are suspect, but not profession hit men. They are not experts on how to commit the perfect crime. The island is full of professionals who are capable of pulling this off. Mafia, drug / sex slave trafficing all have a presence here.

I don't believe for a minute that the drug police radar, sonar or whatever it is, is working at 100% effectiveness or else there would not be be trafficing.

If nefarious elements on island have had a hand in the "disposal" or kidnapping issue, then all involved have their owns lives at risk by now. I'd be scared ****less.

Is it not possible that the two kids (Joran and, Natalie) interupted a drug delivery on their late, late, evening tryst?
Ordinarily; they would all be killed to assure secrecy.
From what I've seen of Joran he would gladly give Natalie to the cartel people as a hostage to save his own miserable life and, his father then would
tell him not to talk and, would cover for his son because if anyone talked the entire family would be killed.
