A classified document with significant international ramifications, particularly as concerns American and Italian relations has reportedly been stripped of its redacting and is now circulating the Internet.
Several bloggers are now involved in trying to track down this story. An Italian media site posted a version of a classified document, the recent report on the shooting incident involving Leftist Italian journalist Giuliana Sgrena in Iraq, and reported that they were able to strip away the redacting hiding confidential American military information.
Now an Italian Blog is claiming that they were the first to post this information. Analysis of these documents suggests that at least one, if not both are forgeries - though both claim to have been authored by the Marine Officer involved with the military investigation of the incident.
