I've been blogging for about eight months and am relatively content with my progress. I've read many things like the Kommisar's terrific section on how to blog, as well as some others. My question today is about annoying spam. I've been getting these constant emails from some guy in Tennesee who claims he has the secret to making your blog really huge really quick. That's a little hard for me to believe. I've asked around and it seems the only way to grow a good blog is over time with quality content. And that's fine by me. But you never know, so, has anyone ever tried this stuff?
I'm just a little leary of sending out $69.95 in the mail to some guy I've never even heard of. I have only been able to find two people that claim to have used the stuff - one said it was so temporary he didn't even have time to enjoy it and the other one gave up blogging to work nights in an adult bookstore.
And I really don't get why they would be offering a separate product for women bloggers. That makes no sense to me at all. Anyone ever hear of this guy? At best, it sounds like a pretty shady deal if you ask me.

You should get professional help for your Enhanced Blogophilia, which seems to be aggravated by Tumescent Blogomania. It shows at garden parties and on the golf course and when you get up from your terminal. It also causes baldness.

That's an Old Wive's Tail. I mean Old Wives' Tale. EB and TB do not cause baldness unless done with Unsafe Blogging, otherwise known as Bareblogging.
