Left wing radio host Al Franken has been involved in another controversy, this time with popular cartoon character Ziggy. Apparently the two were attending a Comical Figures convention when Franken thought he heard Ziggy making fun of his expanding waistline. Observers confirm that Ziggy was simply engaging in his usual brand of self-deprecating humor and making fun of his own weight issue; however, Franken still insists he heard differently.
"I'm in radio," said Franken, "I'm a trained audiologist. I know what I hear when I hear it and that little creep was making fun of me." Franken is calling for Ziggy to immediately resign his position from the popular cartoon strip which bears his name.

Actually, until now I'd thought that Ziggy and Franken were the same person.
