And no, it wasn't the Love Theme from Baradin, who whatever the hell that was which some old once famous Brit used to push on late night TV. Was that Walter Pigeon? And I do NOT want to hear about Celine Dion, or Arron Neville, whom I like a lot, or, God forbid, George Michael, Johnny Cash or 1,001 other covers. There is only one. It is, was and will always be the first and only riehl one. And it was sung by Ms. Roberta Flack, thank you very got-damned much. No, you shut up. No, you shut up. Shhhhh! Just listen.
| Artist: | Roberta Flack |
| Song: | The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face |
| Album: |
The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave
To the dark and the end of the skies
The first time ever I kissed your mouth
I felt the earth move in my hand
Like the trembling heart of a captive bird
That was there at my command...my love
That was there ... at my command
The first time ever I lay with you
And felt your heart so close to mine
And I knew our joy would fill the earth
And last 'til the end of time...my love
The first time ever I saw your face
Your face, your face, your face

My vote goes for "Why Don't We Do It In The Road".

Crazy Chester,
That's a love song? Roberta Flack, she died from crack. I dunno, and (see article) you didn't ask, but my favorite love song was "I love you so fuckin' much I could shit".

Good song choice, Dan. I have her greastest hits album.

Sea of Love by The Honeydrippers.
It doesn't get any more romantic than that song :)

Roberta Flack has such a beautiful spacey voice. What movie was "The First Time Ever I saw Your Face" featured as a theme? It should have been a sci-fi flick or some futuristic action thriller.
