Just Another Day

Michelle Malkin is doing a round up on posts regarding the King holiday.

My observations - Ironic that in an age of secularism that a Reverend, oh wait, let's make that Dr. King, it sounds so much ... more palatable, don't you think? Granted, acknowledging MLK's educational distinction is not without significance. But it seems a tad convenient for the left to foster the change. I recall as a child hearing him referred to as the Reverend Dr. King. Seems the Reverend got lost over the years. And as another irony, doesn't holiday have its root in Holy Days? Thank you very much.

I suspect that just like Lincoln and FDR, it the Reverend Dr. King were to see what the left has done with his grand legacy today, he'd be rolling in his grave. But certainly not holy rolling, they'd have to take down the plaques and rename the streets if that were to happen.

Well "Doctor" King doesn't seem too appropriate either given that he plagiarized his doctoral thesis.

Couldn't prove that by Joe Biden, though, could you?

It's more than provable. It's blatantly clear, and the director in
charge of King's papers even discusses it openly. King plagiarized 45
percent of the first half of his dissertation and 21 percent of the
second, according to the director and King's family.

Maybe they could just change it to Christmas. King is the gift that keeps on giving. Or, the after Holiday Day, or, Da' Black King Day. I remember him as Reverend wanna' be King.
