Crime and Punishment

We all know by now that Scott Peterson received the death penalty, though his chances of ever realizing that punishment are from slim to none. I believe there are upwards of some 600 criminals awaiting execution on California's Death Row - many having been there for decades. And we can only await events in the recent slaying and mutilation of Bobbi Jo Stinnett, allegedly by Lisa M. Montgomery of Melvern, Kan.

According to the criminal complaint, Montgomery confessed to going to Stinnett's home, strangling her and removing the baby from the victim's womb. The complaint also said Montgomery lied to her husband, Kevin, about  giving birth during a shopping trip to Topeka. Kevin Montgomery and his two children, ninth- and 12th-graders, subsequently drove to Topeka to bring Lisa Montgomery and the baby home.

But while web surfing today I came across another criminal sentenced to death and rather promptly executed at a time and in a manner you may not have heard much about. The execution was documented by a photographer.

A young Iranian woman (25) was executed in a public square by [the] Islamic Iranian regime.

The charge?

"The young women was accused of possession of cannabis."

This makes me sick, they should hang the people who decided this instead of this poor girl. Wow, if that regime ever hits the world, then they are going to have to hang alot of people!
It's a shame things like this still happen and we should all make a voice loud enough to be heard about such terror acts. Because you smoke pot don't mean you are a criminal and certainly doesn't mean you have to be murdered, I just can't understand the way these people are thinking and it's not just about cannabis but about all those modern things, the stupiest first, it's unbelievable!

What I don't understand is that if someone knows that the punishment for 'possession of cannabis' is death, why on earth would they want any!!! Why would anyone risk death just to get a little buzz on?!?!? and OMG, what if it wasn't even hers?

Pot is great, but being killed for it is absurd. But not as absurd as being executed for killing a mother and her baby or for killing the mother and taking the baby from the womb. A person like that should be subject to a slow agonizing death. Executions are too quick. No wonder their "chances of ever realizing that punishment are from slim to none." That's why the death should be slow and painful. How about being dipped in boiling oil? Or being skinned alive and left hanging upside down to bleed to death? That's what Scott Peterson and Lisa Montgomery deserve.

Well, I'm off to go smoke a joint!
