USATODAY.com - Swing states lean to Kerry
That development and the disclosure last week that 377 tons of high explosives were missing from an Iraqi site U.S. troops failed to secure seemed to have damaged his standing. A week earlier, Bush had led Kerry on who would better handle the situation in Iraq by 11 percentage points; that edge shrank to 4 points. The 22-point advantage Bush had held in handling terrorism was cut in half. Last week, Bush led Kerry 51%-46%.
While may bloggers would dismiss the above, it's unclear as to how it will play with the general public. Taken at face value, it is one paper crowing over how a bogus story of another is swinging the election. That in itself is an outrage, however true it is or isn't. Win, lose or draw - there should be hell to pay for the press after the election. Unfortunately, I am presently unaware of how to make them accountable. Where will the outrage on the right go with a Kerry win? I simply don't know.
And then there's the gem below. Clearly the liberal media is doing everything it can to not just prop up the Kerry camp, but show him with a lead to sway voters who might go with the apparent winner to avoid a debacle like we had four years ago.
Kerry edges ahead in Iowa with boost from early voters
Sen. John Kerry has taken a slender lead over President Bush in Iowa as the 2004 presidential race nears the finish line. The Des Moines Register's Iowa Poll shows 48 percent of Iowans likely to vote in Tuesday's election, or who have already voted by absentee ballot, support the Democratic candidate and 45 percent back the Republican incumbent. The poll's margin of error is 3.5 percentage points.
Any knowledgeable reader would know that with the margins for error and small "samples" involved here they are reporting nothing. Apparently for them all they need is the right headline. I imagine there will be no end to the shilling for the dems in today's press. Disgusting. Utterly disgusting.

Yeah, Dan, that 24 vote advantage in Iowa is going to carry Skeletor's (sorry Skeletor) loss, er, win.

Nobody believes Kerry will win, the MSM is trying to stave off a landslide, which will be a firm indictment of the MSM, and a mandate for Bush. Narcissicism begins at home, they'll grieve over lost influence, and then look for a way to punish Bush....
