A previous post had a bad link to our Nation's first Thanksgiving Proclamation in 1676. That first proclamation was actually for a day in June and it thanked God, in part, for having ...well, it's all here.
Point being, as we celebrate Thanksgiving, for tradition's sake, there is more reason to think on our progress as regards the war on terror, than there is reason to be thinking in terms of thanking a "Heathen" enemy. True, we have progressed as a Nation, but revisionism and progressivism are two entirely different things. Unfortunately, one is being passed off as another these days.
