It's unfortunate one feels they can't even approach this without being pegged an anti-semite, which I am not. But what if Bush had said he admired Kerry's Jewish Great Grand Father Benedikt Kohn when answering a question on immigration. Would the MSM be defending the President today, or castigating him for deplorable tactics? And, yes, that's a rhetorical question.
The discovery of Kerry’s European Jewish roots has surprised many people, including the senator himself.

Not me. I knew he voted against Catholicism, before he voted for it ... and voted against it again. I hear he is looking for an Indian blessing at church today.

Kerry is hiding a lot in his past. Interesting how we never hear about his ex-wife.
Should we be surprised that after 20 years of passing himself off to MA voter as an Irish Catholic he would be "surprised" he has Jewish roots.
If GWB had made any reference to Kerry's Jewish roots the MSM would call him a racist and anti-semite until election day.

This has pertinence given one fact. The CW is that there may be an al Qaeda strike against this country in the next few weeks aimed at helping to defeat Bush and elect Kerry, as occcurred in Spain. Would OBL want to do that if he knew that Kerry has roots with the Islamists' most significant enemy? Might OBL in fact prefer Bush to Kerry for this one reason?
