Several blogs including Powerline, IpseDixit, Wizbang and Sean Gleeson are posting responses to the"apologise for America" movement, a project of the far-left "Fellowship of Reconciliation." From Powerline - "The idea is for "ordinary Americans"--that is to say, kooks and Communist dupes--to take pictures of themselves apologizing to the Iraqi people for liberating them from the Baathists. The "Fellowship" collects these photos and sends them to Iraq, where they will be distributed by media outlets anxious to undermine our efforts there."
I needed some time to prepare my response, but I do believe it's worth a look. It is not in keeping with many of the humorous responses to be found in the blogosphere. It isn't that I didn't enjoy that humor, I did. But I guess my mind just went in another way. I would suggest viewing in fullscreen and with sound, though it's optional. Some scenes graphic but work safe.
My response is Here

Wow. That is excellent! Nice work.

Excellent indeed... but you know what the moonbats will say...
9/11 had nothing to do with Iraq...

I was going to throw a link to someone else's take on the same subject, but your response is one of those that wind up getting sent 'round the net.
I'll leave it at that.

Thanks for this post - makes some of those "civilians" with signs look like people who wouldn't mind being under/in front of/or swallowing the next attack since they're so sorry - they may want to sacrifice themselves? What is so hard to see? Another reminder just a CLICK HERE! The terrorists had to go somewhere - what better than the place where the leader hates us most - what better than the place where the leadership pays suicide bombers - what better place for terrorists to go than a wealthy sheltering country already willing to attack other nations while they are just hanging in there waiting for an opportunity to destroy any nation they can; even their own citizens?!? Everyone was in agreement and it was over 10 years waiting for Iraq's explanation. How much longer were we to wait while Iraq calculated how and when to build who knows what! Tell Iraq police cadets who are bombed just for applying that we're sorry for coming to their aid. Iraq citizens wanting to join in expelling terrorists in the Iraq military. A good number of Iraq's citizens know that the terrorists were likely to settle in their country with or without the United States. I'm concerned about the way the different religious groups view each other. The Kurds and Shi'ite Muslims have been under the Sunni Saddam thumb for a long time and they have been waiting so long for any power - of course they want to take stands and there's a lot of "king of the mountain" mentality going on. They all want to be the next dictator. The "United States of Iraq" might be one respectable solution - where these religious differences are respected and they share the oil profits to build a shared productive democracy that has no needs for handouts or our military assistance. Anyway - sorry about the "wind" - this got me started - off to the blogger jihad!!
