Caught unawares without his customary camo-outfight and trusty shotgun, Senator Kerry was attacked in an an Iowa farm field by a goose said to have been stalking him since his recent Ohio hunt.
Fortunately, Special Agent Earl Trumball of the Secret Service was able to capture the raging goose and wrestle him to the ground. No injuries were reported to either Kerry, Agent Trumball, or the goose. The avarian attacker is being held without bail until the Spring migration.
Kerry campaign spokeswoman Mary Beth Cahill blames the incident on Karl Rove, who is rumored to have a second cousin residing in Texas and is, apparently, a well-known animal trainer.

Dan,
I'd say you pretty well covered all the bases there. Heh.
