Developing from DRUDGE - Katie Couric hurls softballs to Kerry on Am TV tomorrow, big surprise, heh?
KERRY: "Now let me just look you and America in the eye and tell you this. Unlike Dick Cheney and George Bush, I put my life on my line for my country when it counted. I fought for this nation and I defended it as a young man. And I will defend America as President of the United States."
Gee, for a minute there I thought he was talking about his horrifying encounter with an angry goose last week in Ohio. Naturally they won't get to the part where he consorted with the communists prior to undermining the country's resolve in that same conflict of which he is so proud.
COURIC: "Having said that, anecdotally some voters have said, "Hey, the United States has not been attacked since September 11th. George Bush must be doing something right. And we're too nervous to vote for a change at this point in time." You would say to them?"
KERRY: "I would say to them that this administration has told you, George Bush and Dick Cheney have said to you, it is not a matter of if we're gonna be attacked. It is a matter of when...do you know that the-- that the President just the other day in an interview with Hannity and Combs said-- do you know what he said? He said he doesn't know if America will ever be safe. Well, I do know that America will be safe. Under my leadership. Because we're gonna not allow 95 percent of American containers to come in un-inspected."
There's more at Drudge and sure to be much more tomorrow. With an edited tape it's less likely he'll make one of his infamous gafs - still, we'll see how he goes over with the masses. Obviously he needs help with the female vote and NBC was more than happy to oblige with some "free" air time. Oh, yeah, this is news. But god forbid Sinclair shows Stolen Honor - THAT would be an outrage. These people have no principles at all. Were I in control on Sinclar Broadcasting, I'd turn around and show the entire Stolen Honor piece unedited and make every outlet carry it. When is the right going to show some, as Rather would say, "courage?" Clearly the left won't back down from thsi sort of stuff.

"Gee, for a minute there I thought he was talking about his horrifying encounter with an angry goose last week in Ohio."
Hey! Jimmy Carter was attacked by a really mean looking swimming rabbit.
