APPLETON, Wis. Oct 31, 2004 — As President Bush and John Kerry crisscrossed Midwest battleground states Saturday, a new poll showed the incumbent moving ahead of the Massachusetts senator in the popular vote, and Democrats said their private surveys also hinted at momentum for the president.
No matter the story, I can't believe Kerry's people will be thrilled with that opening paragraph.
