Camp Obama Busted Lying About Soptic Cancer Tale It Used Itself In May

First dirty, lying potential pederast Harry Reid on taxes, now Team Obama itself on the Soptic story. Man, the Democrat leadership must be pretty bad liars. Even the media has been forced to expose them and call them on it! It's like when Obama lied and said ObamaCare wasn't a tax. There is no end to the lies America has been told under Obama. And we get to spend the Fall exposing them. Good times!

But there's a problem. As Politico first reported, Soptic told essentially the same story in a May 14, 2012, conference call hosted by the Obama campaign. Here's what he said then, according to a partial recording of the call passed along by a Republican official:

After we lost our jobs, we found out that we were going to lose our health insurance, and that our pensions hadn't been funded like Bain promised they would be. I was lucky to find another job as a custodian in a local school district. They gave me some health insurance, but I couldn't afford to buy it for my wife. A little while later she was diagnosed with lung cancer. I had to put her in a county hospital because she didn't have health care, and when the cancer took her away, all I got was an enormous bill. That put a lot of stress on me: I thought I'd be paying it off until I died myself. That probably wouldn't have happened if Bain kept its promise and I was allowed to keep our health insurance.

Joe was also offered a buyout by Bain which he TURNED down… I am willing to bet the union would not negotiate compensation in late 90s and early 2000s when cheap Asian steel was being dumped on the US market. So rather than negotiate viable competitive compensation packages the union went on strike at least twice (documented) since the company was bought by Bain. Eventually, competition from cheap imports overwhelmed the company and it went bankrupt. Bain had invested over $125 MILLION in GS Steel, they could not indefinitely continue to bleed cash over unsustainable union demands.
Joel’s wife still had insurance through her own job until she had a torn rotator cup in
2003, 2 years after the GS Steel bankruptcy and 4 years after Romney left the
management of Bain. She didn’t return to work after the surgery and so then lost her
insurance, NOTHING to do with Bain or GS Steel. And not until 2006 did she develop
pneumonia like symptoms. After she went to the hospital, she was diagnosed with
stage 4 cancer and died 22 days later. I don’t see any way for insurance to have helped
her with stage 4 cancer. And I am cynically wondering what kind of cancer? Was it
lung??? And why did Joe refuse to pay the extra to include his wife on his janitor insurance? Couldn’t he have given up cable or some other luxury? He seems to have made some poor choices.
In any case, it looks like this man is still bitter over losing his union job and blames Romney for everything wrong in his life in regardless of actual facts. And the campaign was truly despicably wrong to have exploited this man.
