Beckel Versus Limbaugh

Jen Kuznicki sounds fed up with Bob Beckel on Fox. I can't speak to it as I don't catch the show. But while Jen stops short of calling for him to be fired, or silenced, based on what she cites, seems to me there would be a far different reaction from the left were Limbaugh to appear and say some of the things Beckel apparently has on Fox – or anywhere else, for that matter.

I don’t want him fired, I don’t want him to shut up, that’s who he is, however, to not take a harsh tone with him allows him the confidence that he uses to continue to push the envelope.

It's pretty obvious left and right are forced to operate under two different standards when it comes to media. This is just one more instance that proves what we already know. Unfortunately, if you go too far down that grievance road, one starts to feel more like a leftist, than a conservative. I'm not sure what, if any solution exists other than to note it along with the rest.

I’ve concluded that the only reason Hannity and Fox keep Beckel around is to disguise the fact that Fox has become the Republican narrative HQ. If you threw Beckel out, it’s amazing how liberal Fox truly is.

  2. Beckel is not funny. Beckel is not well-informed. He is just an unattractive, sweaty, overweight blowhard. For heavens sake, Fox can simply go to their back offices and find a liberal more entertaining than Beckel. Olbermann is probably looking for job – at least he is obviously offensive, hilarious, and has an IQ higher than room temp. Beckel screams at women to “Shut the f*&ck up! Called Priebus “Free P&*^sy” or something and now calling folks fundraising for Romney in Israel a bunch of Diamond Merchants? How does this compare to Rush doing a PARODY on Sandra Fluke (calling her a “slut”) or taking a “racist” position about Donovan McNabb – saying he was overrated because he is black. I think Beckel wins the bloviating, angry, name-calling prize. He is a boorish pig.

This is just a test of a lie told by a lying liar.

Whatever else you say about Fox, they are not flacks for OWS like Pasadena Fillie.

People still watch fox? T.V. for progressive republicans. Idiots.
