Video: Romney Campaign Punks Bob Schieffer, Schieffer Not Pleased
Priceless. A new Romney ad (embedded 2nd clip down), "Hope and Change" focuses on Obama going so far negative, so fast, in his fight with Mitt Romney. It begins and ends with Bob Schieffer. The ending is priceless, as Schieffer looks into the camera and says, "whatever happened to hope and change"?
What Schieffer didn't know was, Team Romney bought time on Schieffer's "Face the Nation." Old Bob wasn't counting on the part of the nation that was watching his show Sunday were treated to him basically dissing Obama courtesy of a Team romney ad. I love it!! Unfortunately for him, Bob Schieffer didn't. ha!
After the ad played, he said he had been shocked to see it. "I'm running this not to give circulation to it, but just to state that obviously I have no connection with the Romney campaign," he said. "This was done without our permission. It comes as a total surprise to me and — and that is that. But that's where we are in politics."
Gee, Bob, one would think you'd be thrilled. That's no way to welcome a new advertiser to your show. How impolite of you. lol
