Female Teen Couple Found Shot In Portland, Texas Park
What a shame. Mollie Judith Olgin was found dead, Mary Christine Chapa is hospitalized. Both were shot in the head in what police say looks like a targeted shooting. Fox8 calls them girlfriends, NBC uses the word "lesbian" in the headline. It appears they were involved romantically.
Officials said two young women, who were apparently dating, were found with gunshot wounds to their heads in a park Saturday in a Portland, Texas.
Officials said Mollie Judith Olgin, 19, was pronounced dead after the shooting and Mary Christine Chapa, 18, is clinging to life after being rushed to the hospital.
Authorities have not said whether the victims’ sexual orientation played a part in the shooting, but the Portland police chief said the incident did not appear to be a random attack.
“This particular case, it does have some of the earmarks of a targeted attack,” Chief Randy Wright of Portland told CNN affiliate KZTV.
