OBAMA, BARACK VIA OBAMA FOR AMERICA 07/31/2008 2000.00 28932638677

In the midst of the Limbaugh Fluke fiasco, Carbonite CEO David Friend dropped his company's advertising from Limbaugh's show and blasted the talker on Facebook.

No one with daughters the age of Sandra Fluke, and I have two, could possibly abide the insult and abuse heaped upon this courageous and well-intentioned young lady. Mr. Limbaugh, with his highly personal attacks on Miss Fluke, overstepped any reasonable bounds of decency. Even though Mr. Limbaugh has now issued an apology, we have nonetheless decided to withdraw our advertising from his show. We hope that our action, along with the other advertisers who have already withdrawn their ads, will ultimately contribute to a more civilized public discourse.

A public profile of David Friend indicates he also serves on the board of Sixenos, Inc. Emphasis mine.

Mr. David Friend is Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer at Carbonite, Inc., a Trustee-Emeritus at New England Conservatory of Music, a Trustee-Emeritus at Berklee College of Music, and a Trustee-Emeritus at The Brookings Institution. He is on the Board of Directors at Sixenos, Inc., HealthGate Data Corp., CyraCom International, Inc., Marketplace Technologies, Inc., and DealDash Oy.

At this link is a list of the board of Sixenos, which includes a specfic address, presumed to be a home address.

    Note their stock graph. Uggggg-LY…

  2. rssg says:

This whole thing is ridiculous but nevertheless, I’m sorry to say, the only thing that matters is this:
    Obama/Pelosi/NOW/MSM = 1
    Rush/GOP/Conservatives = 0
This is/was political theatre, designed to advance the political agenda of Obama. He won.
This woman was obviously used for show by Obama/Pelosi, to put a face on their desire to have contraception (and really everything), free of charge under Obamacare.
She lied about her age; the MSM made it appear she was an innocent 23 yr old “co-ed”, when in reality, she’s a 30 yr old lawyer and hard-left activist.
So Rush was making a rhetorical point. Something like – what do you call somone who accepts money for sex? A prostitute, a slut.
I think it was a fine point to make.
In the end, another victory for Obama and the MSM.

  3. tired of the b/s says:

rssg, while Sandra Fluke IS 30 years of age, and is a hard-left activist with a resume of working for left wing organizations that would choke a horse, she is NOT a lawyer. She is a 3rd year law students that seems to have no problem finding the money to pay for a $60K/yr law degree, although seems to have problems gathering the $9.00 a month to buy birth control pills at CVS.
Now, as to Mr. Friend’s application of “couragous and well-intended” to Sandra Fluke, that seems also to be a major stretch. What I do think is happening here is that Carbonite is losing massive amounts of money on an annual basis, and if they have to cut advertising, Friend can achieve that as well as slamming Rush Limbaugh, killing two birds with one stone. Since radio advertising is based on listnership, it stands to reason that advertising on Rush’s show is more expensive than advertising on anything Ed Schultz might have. Friend gets to cut the advertising budget of a failing company, AND make a political statement at the same time. Like any liberal, the only thing Friend excels in is deception.
But it has been reported that Rush often did the Carbonite commercials himself, and if that is the case, we can expect the demise of Carbonite to be sooner than later. The company is in deep financial do-do, and Friend just threw another load on.

  4. TexasTea says:

“No one with daughters the age of Sandra Fluke” – That would be age 30, not 23.
“could possibly abide the insult and abuse” – Unless it comes from MSNBC, Letterman, Maher, the Congressional Black Caucus, and all other professional left-wing insulters and abusers.
“this courageous and well-intentioned young lady” – Wrong on ALL counts: Fluke was not “courageous” or “well-intentioned” – her performance was planned for and staged all along – it wasn’t even a REAL Congressional hearing. At 30, Fluke isn’t “young”, or at least not nearly as young as she was made out to be. And “lady”? Airing details of one’s sex life on national tv in order to panhandle for condom cash does not fit my definition of a lady.
“overstepped any reasonable bounds of decency” – Leave it to the Left to arbitrarily decide on a case-by-case basis when the “bounds of decency” are breached, and when it’s just good-humored free speech.
“we have nonetheless decided to withdraw our advertising from his show” – “Your apology accomplished nothing.”
“contribute to a more civilized public discourse.” – IT WON’T, and Friend knows it, as the Lefties he supports from Obama on down are pro’s (can I use that term without being offensive?) at slinging vitriol, sometimes in practically the same breath as they call for a more “civilized tone”.
Excellent find – actual “reporting”, with facts and everything! As for the “MSM”, EVERY story is a “win” for THEM because THEY are writing the narrative. When facts don’t matter, stories can end however you want them to. Thank goodness for this and all the other blogs, and radio like Rush, that deliver real news to more and more alert Americans.

  5. Stan says:

Carbonite just lost a lot of business. Rush sent a lot of his listeners to them and other people that were friends of those listeners.

  6. dinglewoodnorwoodbill says:

    http://spectator.org/archives/2012/01/11/rino-romney-is-the-least-elect
Romney is actually the least electable of the options, which is why it’s so puzzling so many primary goers swallow the Rovian line that he’s the most.
Indeed, with the recent revelation about Romney urging Obama to adopt the individual mandate at a national level, refuting his state’s rights 10th amendment trick excuse, which he opined in an Op-ed in 2009 AND on TV, he’s even less able to beat Obama.
The seminal issue with voters, particularly in swing states, is national health care and the mandate which is the centerpiece of it.
To give away the ability to argue that 100% to Obama, is suicidal.
    See: http://www.redstate.com/erick/2012/03/03/further-proof-romney-supported-a-national-individual-mandate-in-2009/
The only candidate in the race who can contrast himself on this, is Rick Santorum, as Paul is out of the question due to foreign policy and Newt has supported the mandate in the recent past and is too erratic to consider.

  7. J'hn1 says:

Tired, the $9/month from Target “pill” prescription only works in a closed group. One on one works, but is not the only way. Any size closed group (a thousand on a hundred thousand works, as long as no outsiders are allowed and all insiders are tested for STDs before participation) can be safe, but the larger the group, the more probable somebody picks up STDs and spreads them to the rest of the group. IIRC, condoms have reluctantly been allowed by the Catholic Church as disease barriers but not as pregnancy prevention.
This means Sandra insists on open group relations with dozens or more (large packs of condoms as little as $.4164ea. and the estimate was almost $29/week) weekly, irrespective of time available to perform and pass the coursework.

Just another guy from the neighborhood? http://evilbloggerlady.blogspot.com/2012/03/from-andrew-breitbart-with-love.html Let the vetting begin!
And yes we need to punish those advertisers who are abandoning Rush.

  9. sickofrinos says:

this slut will be teaching school and get caught with her hand in some jr. high kids pants.

  10. Suspicious Sam says:

I wonder if Carbonite is rummaging through the files of people who are cancelling their service these days, looking for incriminating things.

  11. Pasadena Phil says:

We desperately need a knock-em-down rock’n sockem brokered convention. The longer we delay the eventual candidate’s pivot to the far left, the better deal we conservatives can extract from the GOP establishment. They don’t want to win anyway and weren’t planning to so this election is lost except for Congress. We can still keep them from achieving their primary goal of ridding the party of conservatives once and for all. We do this by pinning them to the wall by their ears and changing the narrative once and for all. We need a second party that is not a second-rate Democratic Party clone.
